Extra bonus was that it was close by the relative I wanted to visit. The owner is personable, accommodating & very welcoming. Clean and thoughtful little details (ground coffee & filters, small dining table, refrigerator WITH a freezer) that made it so helpful for my drive across country. Absolutely will stay again. Charming little coffee shop on site that I'll need to visit! Nothing I could recommend that could be better!
- Dinesh Srivatsav (10/5): - Great people- host. Fab coffee shop.
- Michelle (10/5): Amazing Stay!!! - Everything was amazing! The owner and his son are very welcoming! The coffee is way better than Starbucks or Seven Brew. The room was awesome! The only bad thing is that other people are going to find out about this gem of a place and make it harder for me to book a stay there. VERY reasonable! There was nothing negative to report about this property!
- Amy (10/5): Comfy stay with unmatched scenery. - Beautiful scenery with views unmatched. Wonderful hosts who are just lovely.

- Clayton (10/5): Beautiful location, comfortable space with privacy & community opportunity if that’s your thing too! - Accommodations exceeded our expectations. Comfortable & stocked with additional items like extra towels, pots/pans, dishes, silverware, fridge/microwave/toaster & even coffee maker with extra coffee, creamer & sugar in our room. Nothing we didn’t like honestly!

- Bryce-carlson (9/5): Beautiful scenery, friendly and accommodating - Owner was friendly
- Ashley (10/5): It was fantastic. Would completely recommend - Clean and easy to access. Sha gave us permission to walk down and see the sunset from his personal property. An amazing experience. It would be better if there were blinds or blackout curtains in the front room if it’s to be used as an extra sleeping space but this is an amazing place
- Misty (10/5): Exceptional - Was nice and they made sure I was able to get in to my room after arriving late Went to cook a pizza and oven was dirty

- James (10/5): If you’re a lover of nature, then this is a great place. The owner, Sha, is a great host. - Location, seclusion, awesome owner. Pillows could be fluffier.
- Jane (10/5): Lovely place to stay in the rural mtns. We will be back. - We stayed at the property a few years back. The Hideout has a new owner who has done some renovations and put his stamp on the property. The renovations are bright and tasteful. The owner was very helpful and went out of his way to make our stay very memorable while allowing my granddaughter to host a small baby shower at the hideout. While this is not a typical allowance at this hotel, the owner could see our desperation and granted us usage. Thank you Sha for all your help and getting to know you.
- Slankerd (10/5): Don't stay in a hotel, stay at Bigfoot Hideout and support a locally owned business. - Close enough to some beautiful trails but not too far from the cities of NWA. Was very clean and Sha really ensures that you feel welcomed and comfortable. Not too far from a Dollar General so you can get everything you might need, and also not too far from Dragon's Pizza. We were both really satisfied with our time staying here. N/A
- Madonna (10/5): A great place very reasonable good location for me as I was planning to start the OHT at Lake Fort Smith nearby. - I had a wonderful time at a special place owned by a generous and accommodating person. The owner didn't hesitate to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort. It was great to have a coffee shop on-site. The owner also mentioned that their shop relies on donations. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was even a fire pit outdoors. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to explore the hiking trail that was nearby, but I definitely plan on returning. I was only able to stay one night☺️
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): It is an amazing experience with beautiful views and good people. Lots of opportunities for hikes and pictures, the smal - Loved the great views it was beautiful to wake up and look onto the mountains. The staff was super kind and never too stingy, was always happy to talk if needed. Room was super clean and felt very cozy and more like an own personal room not a hotel room. The WIFI was fast and had 0 issues which was great in a place with very little signal, they also offered free Netflix which was also great if you didn’t want to connect to the wifi. They had cups for coffee and a mini fridge with a freezer for food or snacks. Plenty of racks and space to put clothes and other amenities. The bed was a little hard and stiff so it was a bit hard to sleep on. I had 4 pillows but 2 of those were actual pillows with the other 2 being more decorative pillows, I’m sure this could have been resolved with a quick text. If you have a small car the parking is a bit rough since it is on a downhill, if you back out too quickly you could scrape the bottom of your car, it is also in between two blind corners where you can’t see traffic coming in early so you usually have to back out very quickly thus causing scrapes in smaller cars. However, as long as you back out slowly, there won’t be any problems.
- Abbie (10/5): I can’t wait to come back! - The owner Sha was great and nice to hang out with by the fire pit. Arriving at night with the fire pit and trees lit up was the best welcome possible. The room was very comfortable. Loved fridge and microwave. Nothing to say.
- Smith0712 (10/5): Perfect place for a get away, hiking trip, and/or place to stay not in the big city. 10/10 - The property was EXACTLY like the pictures and everyone was very friendly/helpful! There was nothing that I didn’t like! Everything and everyone was GREAT!
- Bill (9/5): Superb -
- Debra (10/5): Home away from home. - Our host, Sha, was so friendly and nice. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The property is conveniently located near hiking trails and beautiful views. The parking is a little tight but still manageable.
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glass (10/5): The staff was wonderful. The room is clean welcome this family make sure we had what we needed even made coffee very kno - The property is clean. Hospitality is great able to view the most incredible sunrises and sunset that I have seen in years. The walk back from the creek was pretty steep and as beautiful as the trail is, I am just a little out of shake lol other than that, everything about that place was a blessing
- Rodger (10/5): My stay was so relaxing, I could feel the stress of traveling gone. - The location was excellent. Everyone there was so nice and respectful even the fellow travelers. There was nothing wrong. I wish we could have stayed longer.
- Anujay (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): Amazing location and exceptional hosts! -
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jimmie (10/5): Very nice and affordable place to stay !!! - The staff was top notch .
They met us outside when we pulled up .
Super nice place , gorgeous surroundings.
- Mondher (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (5/5): Cut back on the lighting outside and serve a continental type of breakfast would make it a neat - No breakfast. Staff very nice and scenery was nice. Room on the small side, and too much light outside created too much light in the room.
- Amber (10/5): We felt very welcomed. - Everything. The property was better than expected. I love the animals on the property. It was all so well cared for and thought out. This is a magnificent place. The owner was so friendly and curious. Not nosey; he shared his personal stories as well. He seems to know exactly what's appropriate to ask or share. He also made me a French press coffee when I asked if decaf was an option. I'd never had one before. Not applicable. I loved the whole experience.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Troy (10/5): Incredible stay!! Will definitely be back again and again!! - Very clean and comfortable place. Host’s were top notch!! Awesome location!! Shay and Charli made this stay unforgettable!!!
- Jon (10/5): Would love to stay here again; hope to make that happen. - Cool, comfortable property. Wonderful hosts who went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed; even invited us to join them around the fire and to watch the sunset with them. Beautiful surroundings and excellent value. N/A
- Teresa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Crawford (10/5): Exceptional -
- Baldwin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bobby (10/5): We wanted to stay longer, hated to get back so soon! - Felt like a home away from home. Very comfortable, peaceful & relaxing. The people made it extra special, wasn’t expecting that part at all. Highly recommended, I know we won’t stay any other places but here our next trips up this way!! There is nothing we didn’t like. Just be aware there’s not much ‘immediate’ close by for places to eat. We did one really tasty mom & pop Pizza Place within 10 minutes. All major restaurants are 25 minutes or so away, which is perfectly fine and not an issue to us at all.
- Dena (10/5): Amazing stay everything you need! - The location and the hosts Sha and Lev were very accommodating and informative of the area
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): This is a great place to stay. - I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. He had many recommendations of things to see in the area. The location of the motel was great. There are many sites and parks to visit in the area.
- Mickey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elisa (10/5): Friendly, comfortable, scenic hikes close by, hidden gem - This is the friendliest experience you will have! From the moment we arrived to the morning we left, we felt welcomed! We met many fellow travelers and we all arrived as strangers and left as friends. The rooms are comfortable, extremely clean, and the entire area is filled with nature’s beauty.
Sha and his awesome son were amazing hosts! 100000/10 star review.
An added bonus is the incredible morning Lavazza coffee that Sha personally makes and offers his guests for free, all tips go to his son ❤️ and he even shared some incredibly delicious vegan baked bread!Everything Sha created in this incredible space felt warm and inviting. We will absolutely come back and bring more friends next time. Please do yourself a favor and visit Bigfoot hideout if you want to enjoy incredible coffee in the morning, more scenic hikes than you can count all within an hour’s distance away, the charming fun town of Fayetteville that’s an easy drive away, and if you like to end each night by the campfire under the stars meeting new people.
Thank you again, Sha! It was the perfect weekend.
- Derk (10/5): Stay there - Great little place to stay! Sha and Lev were delightful hosts! I greatly enjoyed the clean accommodations & hospitality, including great coffee and late night fireside sessions.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The owner and his son were amazing. As soon as we arrived, we were given a personal tour of the room and the entire facility. There was a lovely coffee hang out up front. This is where the owner personally made me espresso every morning. The room itself was fantastic. It was like a sweet! We had a full size refrigerator and a giant TV and a full kitchen. The bedroom was adorable and the shower was large and very clean. The owner even had large size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available for us. Plenty of towels and extra sheets. I will come here each and every time I travel to this part of Arkansas. And we will be coming back for lake and hiking trips as well as to see our son at U of AR! Thank you for making this such a wonderful trip! Absolutely nothing
- Baranda (10/5): A great place to stay. I was amazed how friendly everyone was to my son and I who have been traveling alone. I was sever - The location was nice, clean comfortable room with a fridge and microwave. Table to sit and eat. Rooms have a feel of home not a motel room. There’s a coffee pot or you can go have a great cup of coffee with the owner and host. Beautiful scenery.
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
