• Benjamin (10/5): Great place to stay and to know real people. - Spacious and comfortable, beautiful and quiet, located in the old town, just a few walking minutes away from everything you might want to visit. Tremendously hospitable landlords!

Beautiful sunset views from terrace and excellent mt view and city.Hosts do not speak English though helpful with translator. AC,washing machine,wifi and hot water were great.
• Ami2 (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful apartement, gorgeous point of view from the balcony, very kind and and helpful owner. The area is very calm, in a colorful garden. Everything is closeby a 5min walk. An amazing stay.
• Andrew (9/5): Friendly place to stay in Gjirokastër - Extremely friendly and helpful host even though there was a bit of a language barrier. Well located halfway between the modern city and the old town. Much of Gjirokastër is built on steep slopes so a lot of the accommodation including Simos involves parking at a distance and a climb to get to the apartment. A few items would improve the kitchen (chopping board and a 2nd cooking pot).

• Krafsig (10/5): Amazing and helpful host in villa near the bazaar - This apartment is close to the bazaar, so it is a bit of a hike to get there initially, but if you are not planning on going back to New Town, it is great location for a great price. Everything was great, it was difficult getting the place warm even with the heat on full blast and when showering it took hours for the bathroom floor to dry, but overall it was great. Very spacious and accommodating. The power went off at 1am one night and the host came and fixed it for us in the middle of the night. He was always so happy to see us and ready to help us in any way we needed. I would definitely use this place again in the future. There is not really anything we did not like. There were no carpets in the house and the floors were all ceramic tile. It would've been nice if there were provided slippers because it was incredibly cold on our feet.
• Islam (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were really nice and showed us around with all the details and instructions. The apartment was really big and exceptional. We felt like home. The prices were cheaper than other places. The balcony view is remarkable. Everything was clean and tidy. In one word it was perfect.
