Guest Reviews
- Peter (3/5): If you’re looking for a holiday house that is comfortable, relaxing, spacious and good value for money, I’d suggest you - The owners have made an effort to refresh the property with new appliances (TV, Fridge, A/C) and new crockery and glassware. It has been recently painted with new carpets. It was clean and had good/clean linen. Nice view of the ocean. The property is misrepresented and misleading. It is essentially a downstairs two bedroom granny flat to a main residence. It’s very small. The deck furniture and lounge are old and not comfortable, certainly not for relaxing on a beach holiday. The main bed is extremely hard. There was no vacuum cleaner or broom available. No pantry, so groceries had to be left on the bench. No dishwasher (but this was not a deal breaker). There is a stale/musty smell that we could not get rid of even with windows and doors open. While you can walk to town, and we did, it is not at all convenient, it is at the furtherest part of town on the top of one of the steepest hills (definitely need a vehicle). If this property was priced and advertised as a ‘cheap and cheerful’ apartment/flat then I would understand, but it represents the poorest value for money on (and off) peak that I’ve experienced. Disappointed… we left a day early.
- Shahna (3/5): Great views - pics look great but are misleading as part of another house - not standalone - Great views and good deck area. Beds were comfortable and the property was clean.
Smart tv. Good size kitchen. Property is not as advertised it is misleading. It is not a 2 bedroom house. It is the bottom section of a double story house. Property is small.
No dishwasher or pantry in kitchen we had to store all pantry food on benchtops. Had a stale smell on entry. Wifi broke but was repaired.
No lights on the balcony so couldn’t sit outside at night. Also lights not working in kids bedroom.
No broom to sweep.
You definitely need a car due to distance and hills from the main street. Albert street is one of the steepest streets in Lorne.
When we gave feedback to great ocean road holidays who manage the property feedback was dismissed by a rude staff member.
- Priya (9/5): - Place was clean with amazing sea view. The parking space
- Jack (9/5): Relaxing place to stay with great views. - Great place with fantastic views from balcony. Spacious house with everything you need. House is up on a hill so be prepared to walk up the hill to get back if you dont drive into town. Town centre and beach is a nice walk away. Lots of eateries to choose from. Nothing to dislike.
