• Brett (9/5): Stunning Views! - Stunning views from the balcony outside our rooms. Rooms are sparse but became cosy when we asked for a heater. Dinner was outstanding! Mountains of Georgian food, fresh and flavoursome. One bathroom's shower screen leaked, the other bathroom toilet didn't flush.

• Miriam (1/5): Für Vegetarier und Lärmempfindliche Leute am Morgen leider nicht geeigent - Wir fanden die Kinder von den Gastgebern sehr nett. Die Gemeinschaftsduschen waren heiß und sauber. Die Lage ist sehr weit außerhalb vom Ort und den anderen Unterkünften und man ist absolut auf Elos Guesthouse angewiesen. Uns hat das gestört, da es beim Abendessen im Wohnzimmer dann Verkaufsgespräche über die Weiterfahrt gab und diese überteuert angeboten wird. Wir sind dann zur Straße runtergelaufen und haben nur ein Viertel vom Guesthousefahrerpreis bezahlt. Ansonsten haben wir auch nicht ds abgebildete Zimmer erhalten und unser Nachbar, mit dem wir nur durch eine Spanplatte getrennt waren, ist schon um 5.00h aufgestanden, um loszuwandern und Schlafen war dann nicht mehr entspannt möglich. Wir sind beide Vegetarier und hatten das auch vorab angemeldet,- die Unterkunft ist jedoch nicht bereit, sich darauf einzustellen mit ein paar Früchten und Frischem. Wir sind einfach mit Weißbrot und Nudeln am Morgen nicht so zufrieden und fanden es dort als zum Glück einzige Unterkunft auf dem ganzen Weg mit der Ernährung schwierig und hatten beim Frühstück auch nicht so Lust auf die Diskussionen und Rechthaberein über das Essen. Sicherlich geht es Frühaufstehern und Fleischessern dort anders,- wir waren sehr überrascht über die vielen guten Bewertungen, auf die wir uns verlassen hatten und die zum Glück bei den anderen Guesthäusern auch gestimmt haben.

• Thibault (10/5): - great hospitality, Elos and his wife are really nice persons, they were waiting for us at end of our hike in Iprari despite having no connections to receive messages. The guest house is just a bit remote but they drop you back on track for the hike in the morning. we share the meal. with 2 australien backpackers. Good food, and so far the best room over our stay with heather warming up the room. we agreed also for a Taxi with Elos later in the day to drive us back to Mestia. Lovely people. Nothing, maybe more protein in the morning but so far it was consistant with most breakfast we had on the trail

I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the house which was a nice change from other places on the hike. She even helped us out with some troubles we had in the trail. Best stay on the hike

The lady was very nice—she prepared generous breakfasts and dinners for me, the room was very comfortable, and the shower facilities were excellent as well. The guesthouse isn’t actually located in the center of Iprari, so you’ll need to coordinate with the owner in advance. He can arrange a car to pick you up from the town center and take you to the guesthouse, and in the morning he’ll also drop you off at the starting point of your hike.

The family atmosphere is incredible—you don’t just stay here, you become part of their home. The food is delicious, authentic, and made with care, which adds to the overall charm of the stay. While the property is a little off the main trail, transportation can easily be arranged, and the peaceful location is well worth it. What truly makes this place so special is not just the comfort or the good meals, but the heartwarming hospitality of the hosts and their children. Their kindness and warmth create an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse to anyone traveling in the area. • Cato (10/5): Je voelt je er zo welkom! - We hebben echte gastvrijheid ervaren bij Elos guesthouse! De gastfamilie was top! Ze hielpen ons om terug in Mestia te geraken, het eten was heel lekker en de mensen waren er echt lief voor ons.
• Bart (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf bij een lokale familie die je zelfs ophaalt van de trail! - Super lieve gastvrouw Elos en haar familie runt dit zelfgebouwde guesthouse. Je voelt je echt 100% thuis in de kamer, bij het avondeten en het ontbijt. Kamers zijn comfortabel. Douche en wc’s netjes. Het eten was heel erg lekker! Laat je niet afhouden door het feit dat het iets uit de richting ligt. De familie haalt je na een dag hiken en het sturen van een appje binnen een paar minuten op in hun rode Ford busje. De chauffeur, onderdeel van de familie, kan desgewenst ook naar Mestia rijden. Dit was by far een van de leukste Guesthouse maar dan echt bij iemand thuis ervaringen die we ooit hebben gehad. We kregen zelfs een rondleiding door hun bijbehorende boerderij waar ze de melk en verse kaas zelf maken! Niks

Very accommodating and available in whatsapp. We did the Mestia-Ushguli trek, and after a long hard day Elo sent a driver to pick us up from the trail to the guesthouse (and back) for free. She helped us arrange a driver to Ushguli and the to Mestia. Breakfast&dinner were varied and abundent.
• olaya.op (8/5): - Familia acogedora y amable. La ubicación queda un poco alejada de Iprari, pero nos recogieron en Lalkhori y al día siguiente por la mañana nos dejaron en el mismo sitio. La comida está muy rica, la crema de lentejas espectacular! Precio de las comidas algo elevado respecto al resto de alojamientos de la ruta, la cena son 35 lari y el desayuno 30 lari. Dado que la casa es grande, consideraría algun espacio compartido más donde poder descansar, ya que en un día lluvioso y frío solo podías estar en la habitación.

The family who run the guesthouse are also incredibly kind - they checked with guests if they need picking up from the trail as the guesthouse is a little further away. A good atmosphere in the house and the children are delightful. The wifi worked fine too, breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Travellers should be aware that it is a little far from Khalde/Iprari (especially after the long hike from Adishi) - not a problem as the hosts can pick you up

La salle de bain est aussi propre et confortable en comparaison avec les autres guesthouses dans lesquelles nous avons été pendant le trek. Ils peuvent ensuite vous ramener en voiture à Mestia pour 50 gel par personne.

They helped us with transportation to and from the guesthouse, provided tea upon arrival, and the dinner and breakfast was great. They were also just a very kind family and you can tell they care about people. It was a pleasure to meet you!

I was offered free coffee and tea, the owner agreed to individual arrangements for breakfast, the food was delicious and there was much more than I could eat. On top of that the communication has been amazing, I was picked up in Iprari, dropped off to continue my trek to Ushguli and arranged transport to Mestia the following day. The rooms were comfortable and clean, I had everything I needed and more! I highly recommend staying at Elos guesthouse, it was truly a pleasure staying there and would definitely stay again in the future.

• Yaara (2/5): This place is FAR from Iprari - We had the place in advance , thinking it is in Iprari. When we got to Iprari we were told it was further down the way, but no one told us how far. We could not contact the hosts since we had no reception in our phones, so we ended up walking for about 2 hours past Iprari, till we found the place. When we got there, we already felt so exhausted from what we've been through, and we did not feel like staying there (we never entered the room, so can not testify how the place looks from the inside) - the outside and the general view of the village were not what we were looking for. We decided to ask the father of the family to take us to Ushguly, and found an alternative stay there. We offered to pay the full amount for the room, which is only fair, and of course paid for the ride to Ushguly. But when we got to Ushguly we looked again at the reservation, and saw that they offer a free ride from Iprari- which left us with a sour taste.

• Yoav (4/5): חוויה מאכזבת, למרות ארוחה טובה ויחס אדיב - ארוחת הערב הייתה מצוינת – הצוות דאג למלא לנו את הצלחות כל הזמן, והשירות היה מאוד אכפתי. המארחים היו מאוד נחמדים ואדיבים, והיו מוכנים לעזור לנו בכל דבר. הצוות הגיע לאסוף אותנו מחלדה והיו איתנו בקשר בוואטסאפ ובצ'ט באתר כל הזמן, דבר שלא מובן מאליו ומוערך מאוד. הגסטהאוס היה עמוס עד אפס מקום, והמארחים התמודדו עם כמות אנשים גדולה ובכל זאת התייחסו לכולם, ועזרו בהכל עם ההגעה נאמר לנו שלא נוכל להתארח בגסטהאוס שהזמנו, בגלל בעיה בצנרת – וניסו להעביר אותנו למקום אחר השייך לקרובי משפחה של המארחת. רק לאחר שהתעקשנו, הבעיה "נפתרה" פתאום והמקום הפך לזמין, על אף שבהמשך ראינו שבמקלחת באמת יש בעיה של מים. ההתנהלות הזו יצרה אצלנו תחושה של חוסר שקיפות. המתנו שעה וחצי לקבלת חדר וארוחת ערב, למרות שעדכנו מראש על שעת ההגעה וביקשנו להכין את האוכל מראש, ככל הנראה בעקבות העומס שהיה במקום. המקלחת באמת לא הייתה תקינה – לא היה אור, לא חשמל, וגם כמעט לא זרמו מים, ובעל הבית ניסה לתקן זאת. הגישה לחדר כללה טיפוס על שלושה סולמות תלולים, דבר לא פשוט בכלל עם תיקים כבדים של טרקים – חשוב לדעת מראש. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה מאכזבת – הלחם לא היה טרי, והחצ'פורי שאכלנו היה קר, יתכן שהיה בקירור מארוחת הערב של אתמול. סגרנו מראש עם הגסטהאוס הסעה למסטיה ואושגולי. מדובר היה במונית מטעם הגסטהאוס, נהג שלהם, עם מחיר שסוכם מראש. לאחר כמה שעות, חזרו אלינו והציעו לנו מחיר חדש – כמעט פי שלושה מהמחיר המקורי. כל ההתנהלות סביב הנושא הזה גרמה לנו תחושת חוסר אמינות, ואכזבה, ושהכסף שלנו הוא מה שחשוב.
• Olatz (10/5): EXPERIENCIA MARAVILLOSA :) - Nos encantó el trato que tuvieron con nosotros, es una familia estupenda; en especial Simón que nos enseñó su terreno y palabras sueltas en Svano, uno de sus hijos Georgi nos enseñó a montar a caballo, y pudimos disfrutar de tiempo de calidad jugando a juegos con el resto de la familia, añadir que la comida de Elos estaba buenísima (sobre todo la sopa de lentejas). No tuvieron problema en venir a recogernos al pueblo de Iprali y al día siguiente nos llevaron al comienzo del trecking Iprali-Ushghuli. También nos ofrecieron el servicio de ir a por nosotros a Ushguli y llevarnos hasta Mestia. Una maravilla, por favor, no dudéis en alojaros en esta casa, es una experiencia maravillosa :) Nada.

Ils sont venus nous chercher à Iprali gratuitement pour nous conduire à leur guesthouse un peu éloigné du chemin. Le lendemain ils nous ont re déposé pour que nous poursuivions notre trek. Les repas sont délicieux et tellement copieux ! Toute la famille avait à cœur de nous faire passer un excellent séjour. Nous y serions bien rester plus longtemps.

Odalar çok geniş, tesis genel olarak çok temiz, odalarda ısıtıcı mevcuttu, odaların orman manzarası çok güzeldi ve yemekler harikaydı. Sabah tekrar Ushguli yolunun başlangıcına bıraktılar. Harika bir konaklamaydı, ana köylerden biraz uzakta olması sizi yanıltmasın, uzun ve yorucu bir günün ardından bir konaklama ancak bu kadar rahat olabilirdi.

• Herbert (10/5): A warm and generous stay with a kind family who went above and beyond to help us during our trek - We had a wonderful stay in this lovely guesthouse with a very kind and welcoming family. The hosts were always in touch via WhatsApp and made sure we had everything we needed. Since the house is a bit off the main hiking trail, they picked us up by car when we arrived and brought us back to the trail the next day — free of charge. We had an excellent, generous dinner with chacha and wine, and a delicious breakfast the next morning. Elos also helped us the following evening by driving all the way to Ushguli to pick us up and take us back to Mestia for 50 GEL (оn the way, he even treated us to ice cream and lemonade). Thanks to this, we could leave our backpacks in his car for the day and hike the final stage from Iprari to Ushguli with just light daypacks — which made a big difference! Highly recommended — we felt truly taken care of.

We had such a lovely evening - after being collected from the trail and taken to a more secluded part of the village. Along with our wine, we were given bread and cheese to enjoy (delicious!) and were welcomed into the family space so warmly. We were sad we could not stay longer . Nothing at all.

• David (9/5): Lovely family, beautiful location, excellent meals - A really wonderful host in a beautiful location. The guesthouse is a little farther from Iprali than I expected, but they offer to send a ride to pick you up. Phone reception can make that difficult to coordinate but they managed to go out and find one of the other couples staying here. They also gave us a ride back to the trail the next morning. The meals are big and very tasty. And it's run by a kind family with charming kids. You might get a chance to befriend some piglets as well. There's no phone reception and the WiFi signal is very weak but it was enough to take care of some basics.

• Jinsong (10/5): Very nice place, nice peoples - The host is very kind! Because there was no signal from adishi to iprari. She was worried about me and sent a car to pick me up in Khalde. The food was also great! Definitely the best guesthouse throughout the hike!

• WWilhelmina (10/5): - We had a very nice stay at Elo's Guesthouse! Elo picked us up for free in Iprari and drove us to the guesthouse which is in a nearby village. We also got free transfer back to the trail the day after. The room was nice and so was the food. A big highlight is Elo and his sweet family, very friendly people! The room was a bit cold when we arrived but got better before we went to bed

• Damiaan (10/5): Warm and friendly hosts - The host family was very welcoming and provided us with everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious. Since the accommodation was a bit farther from the city center, free transportation was provided (my legs are very grateful!). The house was still undergoing renovations, but that didn’t bother us at all. The shower was a bit tricky to use, and the internet was slow — but that’s to be expected in such a remote location.
• Rožánková (10/5): - Ochotná a milá paní domácí zařídila, aby pro nás přijelo auto do Iprari, protože se penzion nachází mimo trekovou trasu, ale o to více se snaží, aby jejím hostům nic nescházelo. Večeři a snídani přichystala v čase, který nám vyhovoval a vše bylo velmi chutné (domácí sýrové placky, lívance, nakládané zelí). Druhý den nám zařídila odvoz do Ushguli za poplatek, o což jsme ji požádali kvůli nepříznivému počasí. Také nechala mou kamarádku přispat si po snídani a nevyháněla nás. Vše bylo v pořádku. Dokonce nevadila ani toaleta umístěna v přízemí, kam se schází po strmém schodišti. Bydlení je velmi prosté, ale domácké a cena tomu odpovídá.

• Juliane (9/5): Aufenthalt bei einer besonders herzlichen Familie! - Auf dem Weg von Mestia nach Ushguli haben wir eine Nacht bei dieser besonders netten Familie verbracht. Wir fühlten uns sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Leider hatte bereits bei Ankunft Magenprobleme - die Familie hat sich rührend gekümmert und mit köstlichen Pancakes versorgt. Am nächsten Tag wurde ich außerdem nach Ushguli gefahren. Die Zimmer sind einfach jedoch sauber & praktisch eingerichtet, es gibt auch eine Heizung. Hinweis: vorab Kontakt aufnehmen zwecks Abholung in Iprali, da der Abstieg nach der langen Wanderung von Adishi etwas mühsam ist. (Ich hatte leider kein Handynetz und wir sind daher gelaufen) Vorteil: Richtung Ushguli sind bereits die ersten Höhenmeter bergab geschafft Nur geeignet für Personen, die sehr mobil sind. Die Zimmer liegen im 1.OG und sind über 2 steile, offene Treppen zu erreichen. Das geteilte Bad liegt im Erdgeschoss.
• Hang (9/5): - Elo and her family were absolutely wonderful hosts! We felt so incredibly welcome, greeted with big smiles from the moment we arrived. After a long hike, Elo even offered a complimentary pickup from Iprari and helped us dry our soaking wet shoes – a true lifesaver! We loved spending the evening by their cozy fireplace, playing card games with her kids. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with generous portions that kept us fueled. Highly recommend!

Немного трудно общаться из-за языкового барьера, но на русском-английском и языке жестов можно изъясниться. Хотелось бы узнать больше о жизни и месте, где мы остановились. Гостеприимство и услужливость хозяев на высшем уровне. Забрали на машине из Ипрали в начале и довезли до Местии в конце. Мы не сильно притязательные и любим деревенскую жизнь, поэтому нам все понравилось. Может быть, хотелось бы добавить теплого света в комнату для создания большего уюта и дополнительную полку или небольшой стол, чтобы сложить вещи.

• Omiros (10/5): - Greatest hospitality ever! Elo and her family are more than great and welcoming. She even picked us up in Iprali, which is perfect for the ones hiking to Uschguli. Also, we had the best food there!
• Irina (10/5): Wer ein echtes Leben einer einheimischen Familie erleben möchte, ist da richtig aufgehoben. Wir waren sehr beeindruckt - Sehr herzliche Empfang von den Gastgeber Simon hat uns auf unserem Mestia-Uschguli-Trek von Khalde mit dem Auto abgeholt, da die Unterkunft etwas außerhalb liegt. Am nächsten Morgen brachte er uns nach iprali, wo wir unsere Tour weiter fortsetzten. Das Abendessen sowie Frühstück waren sehr gut. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine typische georgische Familie. Eine fleißige Familie, die gemeinsam für Unterhalt sorgt. Danke Simon und Elo Dusche und WC sind im Erdgeschoss, Zimmer im 1.Obergeschoss. Etwas umständlich, aber es geht da nicht anders.

Elos kwam ons oppikken aan iprali en voerde ons de volgende ochtend ook zonder probleem terug naar onze startplek voor de wandeling. Hun huis ligt super mooi en het is er zalig vertoeven na een lange wandeling. Eten was lekker! Niets negatiefs op te merken!

• Markus (8/5): - Nette und sehr familiäre Unterkunft! Essen war hervorragend. Nur mit 50 GEL (Abendessen) bisschen teurer als die bisherigen Lodges. Lage ist leider 2-3km von der Trekking Route entfernt, was uns bei der Buchung nicht bewusst war. Der Gastgeber sammelte dafür die Leute auf dem Weg ein und fuhr uns auch wieder zur Trekking Route. Kommunikation war leider wegen einer Sprachbarriere erschwert. Am letzten Wandertag passte uns der Gastgeber an mehreren Orten mit dem Auto ab und schien teilweise auf uns zu warten, um mehrere Wanderer gesammelt von Ushguli nach Mestia fahren zu können. Empfanden dies als eher aufdringlich und hätten uns über einen unabhängigen letzten Wandertag gefreut.

They suggested to pick us up from the middle of the route if we wanted to, drove us in the morning to the start of the next section of the track and evan drove us from Ushguli to Mestia when we finished. Definitely don't think twice if you are in the area!

• Chiho (10/5): アットホームな癒しのホステル！！ - 朝食(35gel)・夕食(35gel)とも量もたっくさんしかもとても美味しかったです。余った朝食はランチにと持たせてくれます。往復の無料シャトルバス有りました。迎えはGuest house Khalde(カフェ)まで迎えにきてくれて、送りは Davberi の登山道前の道路まで送ってもらえます。( ホステルはIprariを過ぎた村にあるのでシャトルバスの中から村の雰囲気を楽しむことが出来ました。)家族経営のホステルなのでまだ小さい子供達もチェックイン対応をやっていたりお手伝いをしている姿にとても癒されました。羨ましいくらい素敵なファミリーです。人懐っこい犬も居てとにかく癒される空間でした。またメスティアーウシュグリ間のトレッキングをする時は必ずここを利用します！！建物自体は大きな一軒家を改装して宿泊施設にしているようで室内は綺麗で清潔感がありました！シャワートイレは共用です！布団も今の時期だと充分温かく、しっかり寝れました！トレッキング中に宿泊したホステルの中では1番いいホステルでした! 部屋からシャワー・トイレまでの距離が少し離れている気がはします。2Fフロアにあるとより快適になると思います。

• ronja (10/5): - Best Guesthouse we stayed in our whole trip! We came from Khalde and had no signal and the owner of the Guesthouse (Simon) came by car looking for us and picking us up. As we arrived the Family greeted us, super sweet Kids which whom we played games and Elo was very nice to us and made us wonderful dinner! The Rooms were clean, big and comfortable! Amazing guesthouse, we were sad to leave them! Again we were brought to the start of the trak by car the next day!
• Noga (9/5): Wonderful place, very nice people - The family was really lovely, the food was good, the views were excellent and the father drove us from iprali and to davberi free of charge, and also from ushguly to mestia in a fair price. The double bed’s springs were broken (some were out too much) and it was uncomfortable, but there were other beds in the room so we slept in those. The towels were small. In the middle of the night there were loud steps that we heard because everything is made of woods.

Elo holte uns und brachte uns auch wieder auf den trek. Die Kommunikation ist recht schwer, leider verstehen sie weder russisch, noch englisch.

• Yue ZHANG.Chloe (10/5): - 家人们，可以直接冲!价格还可以。食物是这几天里面最好的，还有葡萄酒可以喝!早餐和晚餐的量极大，根本吃不完我们打包当了午饭。主要是老板和老板娘态度也超好。到了iprari或者khalde的话可以让老板开车来接，回复很及时。也可以跟他们预定第二天的行程用车，价格合理，比较方便。美中不足的是公用浴室有时可能需要排队。

• Hanna (10/5): Amaizing cosy authentic guesthouse in beautiful remote village with extra comfort and the best food - The gustehouse is in remote and beautiful location. We was nicely surprised, when the hosts offer free pick up from Khalde and next day they also took us to Lalkhori. The host are beautiful and very nice people. By them we ate the best meals on our hike from Mestia to Ushguli. Really good food, warm and with tea and beer or chacha. And a lot of food. I was in the group of 3 guys and we couldn't eat all of meals. The luchboxes was delicious sandwiches, which also made our last day hike very nice ♡ We also had great option to schedule a ride to Mestia from Ushguli next day. Very convenient. Highly recommend! Rooms, bathroom, everything very fresh and clean. Bathroom and rooms were warm and cosy. It was super pleasant for us at the end of September. The best stay in Svaneti ♡
