Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (10/5): Beautiful, charming apartment - It is absolutely beautiful, very spacious and private. It is quite a charming apartment, well equipped with everything one would need. It is a perfect place to stay for a long trip to Derry, but also was so nice for our 2 nights. The second day there was so much rain, which caused a bit of a flood and the host came over right away to look at it and clean it up.
The city center is only a 20 minute walk or 3 minute taxi ride, so perfectly easy to get to.
5 of 5 stars indeed! N/A
- Zara (10/5): Very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. - Great location - about 20 mins walk into the centre. Very comfortable and even better than the photos! Nothing.
- John (6/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay , in general the place a bit of love - Location was good bedrooms were warm and comfortable . Great space , nice personal touches throughout Parking was poor , only one very tight space. Lighting and signage poor we arrived in the dark and found it difficult to find . Only one radiator in the sitting room works we were fine as it was a mild weekend however had it been a cold snap it would have been a problem. I would consider including a dishwasher of some kind even a mini counter top one in this day and age it’s not a luxury rather an essential. A French press for coffee so that you can drink your own preferred brand . Just an fyi the salt milk doesn’t work . I would consider heavy lined drapes on the windows
- John (10/5): It was educational, friendly with good shops and entertainment - It was very clean and spacious No dislikes
- Pat (10/5): Super - Lovely spacious apartment, suited all our needs and location great for us attending a family wedding. Would definitely stay here again .
- Hazel (9/5): Lovely flat, very close to the centre of Derry with lots of space and privacy! - Big, open spaces with lovely kitchen! Nice sized bathroom and comfortable living room with loads of games. Mattresses were a little soft and slightly more chairs in the living room.
- Evelyn (10/5): - Location
- Sarah (10/5): Beautiful and comfortable apartment within short drive of Derry attractions. - It was cozy and comfortable. We were able to do laundry.
- Christina (8/5): Will definitely visit Derry again and would stay here - Location was excellent either walking or getting a taxi into the city Everything was very good can’t think of anything that I did not like
- Steve (10/5): a very present stay. - A well appointed home with everything you need for a short stay. The owners checked in on email with advice on what to do. A little extra was the pillows in 3 maked firmness settings.
- Gregory (8/5): We liked Derry and our accommodation there. Both had a nice feel. - Having somewhere to cook a meal and do some washing. The villa was roomy and had lovely views. We didn't have a clothes horse for the items we washed and we had to string up our own washing line, across the side of the kitchen. There were no towel rails or hooks for our towels. A heated towel rail can't hold three towels. The privacy of the bathroom was an issue as you can see through the bathroom door.
- John (10/5): A fabulous gem in at the edge of the city. - This was a lovely stay in Derry. We came up to visit our daughter who attend college here. the location was lovely and quiet. the house was warm and welcoming. Everything was well appointed. We would stay here again.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): GREAT PLACE! - Everything! And the stray cat became my buddy!
- Blechman (10/5): If you think of visiting Derry this is the place to stay. - Lovely property and great location for going into Derry. We especially liked the neighborhood, it is very quiet and beautiful. The black cat who visited was very nice and friendly.🐈⬛
- Essy (10/5): Stunning property, only a short walk from centre - Everything was so beautiful and the owner had thought of everything you could need! They were also very helpful in messaging us to let us know of road closures etc. which might affect our stay. Nothing - everything was perfect!
- Trayford (10/5): All in all, we had an incredible weekend in Derry, and I would love to stay again - Our host Rebecca was great, the location was just a short distance from town, and the house itself was lovely.
I would very much recommend anyone wanted a weekend in Derry to stay here. The only couple of things that could be improved is more tea towels in the kitchen, and one more car parking space. We had to leave one of ours cars down the road as there was only one space.
- Graeme (9/5): Perfect place to stay in Derry - Very spacious apartment with high quality fit out and a choice of three different pillows! Easy walking into Derry centre and yet the apartment is set in a forested garden location which is secluded and quiet at night so it’s perfect for sleeping in! Hosts super responsive and helpful Missing a microwave in the kitchen and clear instructions for the heating would help
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Clean and spacious.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (9/5): Cozy, casual, and convenient location from which to explore Derry and the Causeway Coast. - Beautiful spot - the location was excellent, with a great view and neighborhood; and the apartment itself was spacious and homey. Nice bathroom, good bedrooms, cozy living space, and workable kitchen. There was a great sun room too, which we couldn't really use because of the cold. Overall, it was a splendid stay! Thermostat was a bit temperamental: either on (super hot) or off (very cold). Could hear a lot of footsteps and conversation from above. And there was a lot of nice features, but it all seemed rushed together (tags still on chairs; mismatched items). Nothing really serious, and we'd stay there again.
- Rachel (10/5): Absolute treat- like a country hotel, but in the city! - Was not expecting the accommodation to be so nice. Beautifully decorated and lots of little personal touches throughout. Hosts have such a good eye and feel for decor and what a guest might want. It's been so well thought out. It's a period building, but with all modern comforts inside, and a patio and large sloping garden outside. The beds were so soft and comfy - with 3 choices of pillow from soft to firm! Spotless inside. I packed games and colouring books for the kids, but the host already had lots of board games and books to suit adults and kids alike Large spacious hall, sitting room and kitchen, two good sized bedrooms. Heat set to come on periodically so place is warm and cosy. Umbrellas if you need them. Host was very responsive and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and taxi numbers. Plenty of booklets for things to do in Derry. Location wise, it's a 10/15 minute walk to the Peace bridge, a stone's throw from Craigavon bridge and with shops and restaurants nearby. I was just looking for somewhere clean, bright and basic when visiting family but it turned to be an absolute treat to spend time there for me. Lovely views too - would love to go back in the summer.
