- Volodymyr (10/5): При желании можно было бы найти много минусов, но жилье хорошее - Расположение, вид из окна, еда, хозяева Планировка помещения
- Berk Kamber (1/5): - When we went to this place, they said the room was booked. We went with a small child. We were really disappointed at that time. We had a hard time finding a place to stay after that. Even though we had booked through Booking, they said we were given a room.
- Waterfront homestay (10/5): - Kindness of the owner and staff, really caring, he does go beyond his limits to keep your stay comfortable. Laundry service and food is available at the property. Ample parking and don't need advance reservation for parking. Well maintained and very clean. Easy to access to the haputale city and all the touristic attractions. Will definitely visit again ☺️ 😊 🙂 I like everything.

- Annie (9/5): Beautiful homestay in a beautiful location! - I really loved the location, 180 degree views onto the railway track, up into Haputale and into the valley!! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and you can watch the train pass. The staff were so friendly, helpful and genuine. A lovely family!! I had a delicious breakfast there, but I'm sure all meals would have been excellent!! I was super comfy in my room. Good bathroom facilities and hot water! I was made to feel right at home! Great location to visit Waterfalls and tea fields! Thank you!! Nothing really, a short walk into town, maybe 10 minutes, might be a problem for some but I loved walking along the windy roads, greeting people and gazing into the valley

While im travelling to the hotel i just take a phone call and ask about my confirmation and they told me that they hadn't received a booking by my name. Also informed me their property i full at the moment. We were very disappointed by their fake & cheap confirming of reservation. Disgusting customer service 🤮

- Jungmin (7/5): Good - it was good view and value for money bed was not comfortable
- Chevalier (10/5): Exceptional - Awinco Rest Inn
A truly wonderful home from home place to stay in Haputale. Haputale is like Ella was 10 years ago before being overrun by western style eateries and coffee shops. So if you prefer a more authentic Sri Lankan mountain experience definitely visit Haputale while it remains this way.
This guest house has immaculately clean rooms with a mountain facing balcony to take in the breathtaking views Haputale has to offer. The ensuite bathroom has an instant hot water heater so you can always benefit from a hot shower after a hike.
The hosts Priyantha and his wife Nora are some of the kindest and most hospitable people we met on our 6 week tour of Sri Lanka. Plus Nora’s cooking is incredible! Without a doubt the best rice and curry and Kotthu we have tasted yet. Nora is even willing to share her culinary secrets by kindly offering a cooking class so you can see her work her magic in the kitchen. A take home from the class is definitely the high quality organic ingredients in her food…as well as her magical skills of course!
Priyantha is a true gentleman. He has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and is delighted to offer advice on your day trips to ensure they go smoothly and without incurring unnecessary costs for guides. He can give you detailed instructions so you can confidently go on your own adventures. Priyantha also has a wonderful little book of walks with hand written instructions and clippings of maps to allow you to share in his local knowledge and the past experiences of his other guests.
A truly charming guest house, breathtaking views and the best hosts you could ever wish to meet. Highly recommended!
- Sangeev (3/5): Poor -
- Barbora (8/5): Very good - The owners are amazing, excelent food (dinner and sri lankan breakfast), they really helped us with trips around Haputale and they were very friendly. Unfortunaraly the toilet does not flush properly and the bathroom was a bit moldy.
- Alex (10/5): The best guest house in Haputale! - I've been staying at Awinco every time I visit Haputale for the past 7 or so years. The rooms are very clean and super comfortable, and I think the view from the balcony is one of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen. I've gotten to know the family that owns Awinco well, and they are friendly and knowledgable and make a great rice and curry! They can also help you organize day tours to most of the must-see sights in the mountains for a very fair price. If you want to do something less touristy than Ella, I suggest staying here in Haputale and having Awinco book a day trip or two to visit Ella, Hortons Plains, Lipton's seat, and some of the other sights. The hotel is also within walking distance of town and the train station. Overall, just a great experience and I wouldn't (and haven't!) stayed anywhere else (= Nothing - Awinco is one of my favorite places to stay!
- Nick (10/5): Haputhale is a Hidden Gem - The property was located 3-5 minute walk from downtown & overlooked the entire valley. Thew views were gorgeous. In addition, the property itself was spotless & the hosts were delightful. They cooked a homemade Sri Lankan meal for me which was delicious. The host was also able to link us up with a tuk tuk driver that acted as our tour guide & drove us to all the sites around Haputale (for a fair price) including, Liptons seat, Little Adam’s Peak, 9 Arches Bridge, Diyaluma Falls, Horton’s Plains, etc. I can’t wait to visit again! There was nothing I didn’t like.
- Devin (10/5): Exceptional - Superb & amazing view. The room, washroom very clean & all common places are nice. Nice foods. The owner helped us to find nice visiting places. They are doing their service best than the money. Definitely we'll come back when we visit to Haputale again. Easy to find. Any vehicle can accessible.
