- Martin (10/5): The proprietors, Angela and Martin were so helpful and accommodating. - The best accommodation and breakfast I've stayed in for a very long time. Could not fault the cottage
- Catherine (10/5): - Angela and Martin we very welcoming. Beautiful full English breakfast provided and flexible breakfast time. Our room was large and comfortable. Angela suggested places for dinner. It was ideally located to the things we wanted to see. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Stephen (10/5): Friendly welcome, excellent hosts, great accommodation - Lovely old house, very clean, close to pub and easy access. There was nothing we didn’t like about this property,
- Vincent (8/5): - L'accueil. Le lieu. Le petit-déjeuner Le lit. Taille standard pour un deux places mais un poil étroit et pas très confortable.
- Gareth (10/5): Excellent comfortable overnight stay in this wonderful B&B with an exceptional breakfast. -
- Havers (8/5): Nice b&b lovely interesting village location. Friendly hosts . Pity about the traffic noise. - Very friendly hostess. Lovely breakfast, food and environment. Very clean and generally well presented. Excellent bathroom en suite. With window even slightly open a surprising amount of traffic noise. Would not be keen to stay in the summer for this reason. Presumably distressed looking furniture intentionally executed in other wise very undistressed environment! The peeling rubbed off paint did jarr a bit as did the rather odd bits of loose material covering the soft furnishings. Would have been nice to have had a room door lock for a sence of security.
- Sheila (10/5): Wonderful, comfortable place to stay with a delicious breakfast. - An absolute gem of a place to stay Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. You feel at home as soon as you step through the door. The room and en-suite are gorgeous and comfortable with everything you could need provided.
The breakfast was delicious and of high quality , served in a beautiful conservatory.
We were so comfortable in this gorgeous house. The perfect place to visit Fountains Abbey and the surrounding area.
We would definitely recommend this wonderful place.

The hosts clearly work as a fantastic team; everything was seamless and well-coordinated. Our room and the general facilities were great, providing everything we needed for a comfortable break. The breakfast was truly fantastic with plenty of delicious options. We especially appreciated the lovely touch for Easter, which was a very thoughtful and charming addition to our trip. Highly recommended!
- John (10/5): Super, welcoming and friendly hosts, nice clean and tidy room, smashing breakfast. - All great. Hosts were super, friendly and welcoming. Everything was very clean and tidy and the breakfast was superb. A lovely quiet village location, a good base to explore the area. A torch is handy if you walk round to the pub as there's few street lights.

The breakfast was simply wonderful as were the owners Martin and Angela. They were so very helpful and polite.

The village is idyllic, the perfect backdrop for a relaxing break. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I also loved meeting their gorgeous dog, Kirkby, who added an extra touch of joy to the whole experience.

- Philip (9/5): Friendly hosts, comfortable room and good breakfasts in a peaceful well situated village - Very friendly hosts ,good breakfasts and a well appointed room with a reasonable amount of space which made for a comfortable week's stay. Kirkby Malzeard is a quiet village set in farmland and not far from Ripon and Masham with various eating out options including local village pubs. The Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach. There was nothing not to like.

- Berry (10/5): - Cozy and friendly, good location All was good
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful B&B in a pretty village in the dales, with easy access to the national park and close to lots of other beautiful Yorkshire villages and countryside. The room was spacious, our hosts were really kind and thoughtful, and breakfast was lovely. We particularly enjoyed one of the driving tours which had been planned in the welcome booklet, which took us right into the Dales national Park and through some stunning scenery. The bed was comfortable, the room exceptionally clean, a real gem!
Location wise, the village is close to lots of other pretty towns and villages, with lots of options for eating and drinking, within a short drive. The local pub is just that, a proper locals pub with no airs and graces, the locals and staff were very welcoming (particularly on Saturday night when an impromptu karaoke session took place!) The food was OK, but I'd recommend a short drive to somewhere like Masham, where there are lots of better options for food. A decent place for a drink though if you're willing to accept the darts on the telly and some good crack with the locals! Genuinely nothing to add here.
- Robert (10/5): Lovely B&B - Highly Recommended - We had a very pleasant one night stay at Gospatric House in order to attend an event in Ripon (for which it was ideally located). There was nothing to fault, our room was very comfortable, the location was quiet and picturesque; Angela and Martin were very friendly, unobstructive, hosts. It took a bit of effort to work out the exact location of the property from the map on this website (see uploaded map).
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Angela and Martin are a very friendly couple who made our stay most enjoyable -
- Randall (9/5): Just how a B&B stay should be! - Lovely breakfast outside in the sunshine. Good selection of food, particularly yummy Full English. Comfy bed, plenty of hot water. Lovely hosts. Our bad, but we couldn't get the TV to work! The bed is rather small ... but very comfortable!
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hosts
- Stuart (10/5): 5☆ - The location was great as we were spending a couple of days touring around the area.

- Sally (10/5): Comfortable stay - Great location for our tour of the North of England. Very comfortable room and hosts Angela and Martin were so helpful and friendly. Nice to have breakfast outside on their lovely garden terrace. Would recommend without hesitation. Nothing
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Angela and Martin were very welcoming and friendy as was their gorgeous dog Kirby. Our room was nicely decorated, comfortable, clean and spacious with a nice shower room attached. The breakfasts were lovely and nicely presented. It is a pretty village with a pub close by which serves food. There are numerous places of interest nearby to explore. Nothing
- Melvyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (8/5): A friendly welcome from our hosts Martin and Angela to their lovely home in a very quiet village - Excellent breakfast. Full English, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, served in a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden A King sized bed would have been nice, although the double was comfortable
.A friendly welcome from our hosts Martin and Angela to their lovely home in a very quiet village close to the motorway.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - The house is conveniently situated and easy to find. I stopped at Fountains Abbey on the way and it was only 15 min drive from there. Parking by the house was easy and I was sent instructions beforehand. There is a pub just around the corner if one needs an evening meal. The room was very cosy and nicely decorated. A fluffy bath robe was an unexpected bonus. Shower worked well, the bed was very comfortable. It was very quite during the night, no traffic noise. Wifi was fully functional. In the morning I was served a lovely breakfast in a conservatory outlooking a beautiful garden. Both Angela and Martin have been very friendly and helpful. Nothing! Everything was perfect.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Highly recommended - Warm, friendly welcome. Superb breakfast al fresco. Handy location. It's not really in Ripon - not that this matters. In fact, for us it was preferable to be in a quiet village.
