• Karla (10/5): - This apartment is in a great location, it's very central and close to the sights and restaurants in Osaka. Additionally, the apartment is comfortable and had all the necessary amenities for us! We really enjoyed staying here and were able to rest up. We had a slight hiccup with the check-in where the host didn't send us the details by the time of our check-in, but we were able to communicate with the host and get into the apartment just fine.

• Daisuke (9/5): 大満足!!!!! - 道頓堀に近い。朝帰りでも周辺は静かで、施設の壁も厚いため静か。よく眠れました。必要な物は全て揃っていた。 寝ぼけていたら上から下に降りる階段が危ない。トイレにウォシュレットが欲しい。が、それは最初からわかっていたので、別に不満であった訳ではないです。

Siamo riusciti a prenotare veramente all'ultimo momento (siamo, per diversi motivi, rimasti senza hotel e ci siamo ritrovati a cercare un appartamento alle 10 di sera per la stessa notte). Siamo stati grati di aver trovato qualcosa all'ultimo momento. Le informazioni su come entrare non erano pero' contenute nell'email di conferma e abbiamo dovuto chiamare il proprietario il quale faceva difficolta' (e comprensibilmente) a parlare inglese. Abbiamo dovuto chiedere aiuto al personale di un hotel vicino all'appartamento. L'appartamento non era particolarmente pulito e l'aria condizionata non funzionava affatto. Era agosto quindi caldissimo. Abbiamo fatto la sauna per due sere.

• Teresa (1/5): Greatly disappointed - It was close to night life. Great place for 1 to 2 people back packing. The owner was very responsive to messages. Unfortunately, the air conditioner never worked. We contacted them several times, and they made us feel stupid like we didn't know how to turn a.c. we followed instructions of a.c never worked. I booked for 4 people and only got 3 mats.. the pictures are not of place we stayed. It was the worst stay I've ever encountered. The owner never contacted me after 1st day to see if ac worked.
• Julianne (10/5): A little bit of a walk from the main stations, but very close to high traffic Dotonbori Streets, very secure and cozy. - Quaint and cute! Perfect as a resting place after a long days exploring. Walls are a little on the thin side, as a solo traveller hyper-vigilance is reflexive and I instinctively turn towards every creak or noise in the corridor or out the balcony.
• Robyn (7/5): Dotonbori House gave us an opportunity to experience living like a local in a small apartment in central Osaka. - The location was brilliant! It was great having laundry facilities. It was difficult to locate.
• Krisha (8/5): Very good - Though small and minimalist, it's near to the places you want to go to when you are in Osaka. For those who want to use a bidet, there was no bidet in the unit where we stayed. There's no closet as well but overall the place is ok.
• John (5/5): No frills - The location was the best. The room is located within walking distance to Dotonbori District, restaurants and bars. The building is old and tattered as is the room but it is clean and safe. This was only for one night so I wasn't looking for any frills just a basic room nearby that was clean, cheap and safe. In that regard, I would recommend Dotonbori House. However, checking in was stressful as I did not receive instructions on self-accessing the room so when I arrived, there was no one at the property, and I had no instructions on how or get in. The place is mapped incorrectly on the website, it identifies the building next door but with the correct address. When calling the number provided if any issues, a non-English speaking gentleman answers but considering I speak next to no Japanese and he spoke next to no English, it was difficult to communicate. After about an hour, I was able to understand that he wanted me to email him my question. I did so and after a few minutes I received the email I should have received in the first place with the instructions and all was good after that. I wouldn't stay here again because of that incident. Next time I'll go somewhere with front desk staff that hopefully speak some English. Not having received an email with access instructions PRIOR to my arrival.
