Guest Reviews
- Erik (7/5): Excellent property for single traveller - Location was central to my needs enabling me to visit family in Canberra on several occasions. Also central to the main street of Queanbeyan with all of its facilities. Quiet location both day and night during my stay which is a bonus. I was able to get the property at an excellent rate which was a bonus because it was mainly for sleeping so for me it was excellent value.
Interior is spacious creating a pleasant atmosphere. Whilst the shower space is small, the hot water pressure is excellent. Whilst I didn't use the kitchen, it is large, spacious, well-appointed and equipped. Weather was warm during my stay so there was no need for heating or cooling. Confusion over which property was rented, front house or rear unit described as renovated warehouse, but this confusion was sorted out along with the key lock box code. No hanging space or storage for clothes which for me was not an inconvenience but may be for other travellers. Narrow, small shower space as shown in property photos may be a problem for some.
- Jose Mariluz (8/5): Great place ,great location ,spacious ,clean ,affordable .just need a few updates. - The location was great .The place was very clean and had lots of space .Fridge was excellent .Kitchen bench tops were very spacious. The bed and bed linen were great Some utensils missing eg peeler ,bowls to mix things in.No hook on the back of bathroom door to hang your clothes on when having a shower. The TV really didn't work well .Can only see Channel 7 and sometimes 9
- Raelene (8/5): - Great location, good comfortable bed. Great value for money A wooden back door would feel more secure
- Marcin (7/5): - It was very easy to find the studio and the keys to enter it. Place itself was much bigger than I expected. Comfortable and clean. I recommend this place. It would be better with the internet in the studio. It would be also nice to have such things like salt and pepper so the traveler won't need to worry about getting such basic things like that :)

- damian (10/5): - A++ , Convenient location, Fast Response to any Questions, Friendly and safe environment, Highly Recommended.
- Irene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Fantastic - Lovely place in which to stay - convenient location Clean
- Nicole (6/5): You get what you pay for I guess - Only received the message about code to get into the property while travelling, and didn't know how to get in when I arrived in the rain.
Holes in the bed linen was not ideal.
- Anonymous (9/5): Great - Close to Main Street
Very clean It was great for an overnight stay
- Claire (9/5): Great value spacious apartment. - Excellent Value. Spacious. Urban Warehouse is a great description. Kitchenette good for our single night stay coming back from the snow. Quiet. Heaters warm the room well. When our food was delivered to house at front instead of apartment at back (despite writing instructions) the lovely person in the house brought it to us. Bring slippers or be prepared to wear shoes as concrete & tile floors can be cold even with heater on (there is a rug in the living area). Small doggie barked every time we walked past - didn’t bother us but be aware he/she is harmless - was just a surprise at night in the dark. Also will need a torch (phone light) to get to the apartment if the sensor light doesn’t turn on. All these things were minor compared to the place / value and we would happily stay again.
- Naomi (8/5): Good stopover stay, thank you - Instructions on how to get in were easy to follow, and it was clean and comfortable, thank you. There was a little dog that lives in the main house adjacent that barked a bit when we arrived and left.
- Alani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (8/5): Well appointed, comfortable stay. Would stay again. - Great location, well set up. Very comfortable stay. Very central to town. This is a great place to stay but some feedback to make it even better: a broom or a dustpan and an extra roll of toilet paper would be good. And milk that hadn't already been opened and was nearly empty.
- Geoff (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anne-maree (8/5): Great stay…. Would definitely use again - Lovely big space, everything we needed. The bed was very hard…. A mattress topper would improve it .
- Irene (9/5): Superb -
- Bronson (7/5): Good - Big space. Inside of the room was Private enough.. Toilet paper ran out and there was no spare. Being chased and barked at by owner's dog when entering and exiting the property.
- Alec (8/5): Very comfortable stay, and the room was just what I wanted. Thank you! - This room was perfect for my needs. Just what I wanted. No teaspoons! 😂 and would have preferred a more modern TV.
- Shanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (8/5): Had everything we needed! Easy to get to. - -Very spacious.
-Good hanging space for clothes.
-Shower head was good.
-Owner very responsive to messages and let us check in early :)
-Located in a safe spot of Queanbeyan.
- Kim (9/5): It was a lovely place with a great feel. - Love the high ceilings.
The shower head is great!
Love the retro wardrobe (and the camphor smell).
The artwork is great and really adds to the urban feeling of the place
Owners must read all the review comments because:
There is a hot plate in the kitchen now
There was a tea towel
There is an extra Dyson fan
Freezer has been dismantled and
Spare toilet paper in the bathroom This is quite picky - but I wish the blinds were a bit wider, so light didn’t come through in the early morning
Wish there was better antenna connection to get some more channels on the tv
- Gordon (9/5): Great value⁸ - Price and vicinity Size of room
- Richard (9/5): mostly comfortable. - quiet location, spacious and tidy. functioning insect screen on the window would be good.
The refrigerator had to be defrosted.
- John (2/5): Not up to scratch needs more effort to be better - Easy key access Converted Besser brick garage behind leased house.
No parking available. Have to park on street away from accommodation.
No air conditioning, it was 37 degrees when we arrived and there was one cheap pedestal fan.
Small kitchenette with utensils & pots but no cooking appliances except microwave.
Window had a velcroed peice of netting on it which was falling off.
Bar fridge needs defrosting.
- Bernadette (9/5): A tranquil oasis in the suburbs. Easy access to the town and minutes away from CBD. - The keys were right at the door. Excellent instructions on where to access. Very clear and accurate. Cooking facilities in addition to the microwave.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Lesly (8/5): Very good - Loved the comfortable bed.
Loved the space and the art No stove for cooking on but a microwave
- Clare (9/5): We found the Urban Warehouse to be very good accommodation for a few days in Canberra. Clean, comfortable & very qui - Comfortable, quiet & good value! Lacking a few essential ie, tea towels, toilet paper! Window leaked during huge storm!
- John (7/5): Pleasant but it definitely requires A/C - Location was close to restaurants and shopping districts Has a shared driveway but no issues at all with residents in house at front I think it requires a bit more than a fan. It was very hot & with no A/C it remained very hot inside which made it hard to sleep at night. That was dissapointing
- Kath (9/5): Would definitely book again. - Great place to stay. Value for money and good location.
- Sidia (10/5): I loved the location, how clean and comfortable the room was. - I loved that the space is big enough
- Timothy (8/5): Overall a great place to stay - very convenient and would happily stay again - Location awesome
Price very reasonable
Close to everything I needed These are not complaints we were happy with our stay but some things need attention.
The small freezer in the fridge was so iced up I could only get 1 ice brick in it instead of the 3 that I would liked to have put in there. FRIDGE REALLY NEEDS TO BE DEFROSTED OCCASIONALLY
Couldn't have window open at night as there were no screen/s to keep bugs out. After 3 warm days room was very warm with only a small fan - no air conditioning. Being able to have the window open would have solved this.
Note to owner - the bedlamp on the window side of the bed has a fault with the switch - needs attention.
- Walter (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Fantastic - The location was fantastic and very quite - close to the shopping centre, restaurants and hotels.
The accommodation has everything that we required - the bed was very comfortable and the shower rose was fantastic.
The apartment was well equipped Nothing
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Close to town, spacious. Nothing
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Trevor (7/5): Good - Close to town, large room, good value No toiletries other than small amount of handwash, no spare toilet roll (which ran out) no hair dryer.
A small dog has the run of the property and runs at you yapping every time you enter or leave the property.
- Erik (8/5): Convenient, quiet and affordable base near Canberra - Apartment was spacious with good heating and nice shower, It was quiet and felt private. The shower was great. Walking distance into town (Queanbeyan). Nowhere to hang towels to dry. Shower cubicle door didn't open fully (problem with the rollers). Apartment is behind the owner's property resulting in lack of clarity on expectation regarding parking on the driveway or on the street. A small section of the warehouse is a storage unit that is sometimes used by the owner (not a major issue) and they have a dog on their property which some may enjoy and others like less: while we were there the dog didn't come near us.
- Gary (10/5): This is one of the better places I have stayed at. - The location of the property was excellent, walking distance to Queanbeyan and transport if you wanted it. The street where we parked was quiet and hardly any traffic. The place was big inside and very roomy with everything you needed including a small kitchenette that was stocked with plenty of utensils. A great hot shower and a small courtyard out the back, all in all a great place to stay for 2 people. Everything was good, there was nothing that we came across that we could not dislike, a bit noisy with the neighbours during the day but no noise at night time.
- Judy (9/5): Relaxed style ..like a home - Quiet roomy Nothing
- M. (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (9/5): Good value, had a great stay. - Room was nice, shower was amazing, bed was comfortable, great value for money I would stay there again. Code mix up at the start of the trip to get the keys but was sorted quickly 😊
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Big unit and close to the main shopping precinct. The only suggestion is that they provide some microwave containers for the microwave.
- Ebony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (9/5): Thank you to Daniel and his family for making our stay at The Urban Warehouse very comfortable. - The Urban Warehouse is very comfortable to stay in. It is well heated and very private.
It is an easy drive to Queanbeyan or Canberra. It would be great to be able to cook meals ☺️
- Inas (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (9/5): Superb -
- Alaric (6/5): We enjoyed our stay &Daniel was most helpful even although arrival time was confused. - There was no breakfast provided.

- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (10/5): Amazing value for money - This place was brilliant. Excellent value for money. Huge space, high ceilings, comfy bed, wonderful shower. Nice and private. I was Pleasantly surprised and I’ll certainly be back

- Nicole (8/5): Suitable - The location into town was excellent The on street parking
- Robert (1/5): Bad -
- Raelene (9/5): Superb - Clean, walking distance to Main Street.
