• Edwyn (10/5): Relaxed property with good location - The location was great, short walk from the main road making the property quieter. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the rooms all good.

• Nidia (10/5): Excelente ubicación y atención - La atención del personal, el desayuno siempre dispuestos a ayudar me organizaron el traslado desde ell ferry hasta el hotel, también el tour a Kawasan y a oslob y todo muy bien trabajan con muy buenas agencias, los recomiendo. Si hay gallos que se escuchan pero así es en todo Moalboal. En la noche no los escuché y dormí bien.

• Valeriya (10/5): - I really liked and appreciated the following: 1) hospitality of the Roos's team; 2) location - quiet and close at the same time to the street full of bars / restaurants; 3) hearty breakfasts - Philippino one must try; 4) availability to book tours at the property; 5) yard atmosphere and the facility itself; 6) attitude of the staff: I needed to buy aqua shoes and when I asked the staff where to go, they gave me aqua shoes for free to wear them for the time of stay. Someone forgot it before. It was so nice from their side.. Then I had a birthday and they greeted me surprisingly. It was so cute; 7) Plus they give for their guests vouchers (one per person) for welcome drink at one of the shore lounges.

• nicola (10/5): Ottima struttura - La camera è funzionale, il bagno è perfetto e oltre all'aria condizionata c'è il deumidificatore, oltre alla stanza c'è una zona relax dove si fa la colazione o si può passare del tempo con thè e caffè sempre disponibili. Lo staff è molto gentile e ci hanno permesso di fare una doccia e passare dek tempo in attesa del taxi che ci portava in aeroporto qualche ora dopo il check. Oltretutto c'è un gatto meraviglioso sempre pronto a ricevere coccole 🤩
• Monica (10/5): Would come back for sure! - Beautiful property with very kind and helpful staff. It was so easy to book activities, transportation, and meals with the front desk on the day of. All of their partners for these things were great. There was also a lovely cat that was so friendly and chatty — I want to come back just to hang out with her 😂. The food was tasty and if I had to leave early for an activity (before breakfast time) they would prepare me a sandwich in advance so I could still have a meal. They also have a security guard on site at night time so it felt safe. It was very clean and well maintained, but there were groups of small ants here and there. Not much of an issue but would have preferred them not to be there. I would just rinse them away every morning 😂! Location is great if you prefer to be near other tourists and international food court (El Mercado is only a 6 minute walk away). But for me I thought it was more fun to be near the town centre, eat street food, and do fiesta activities with the locals. So this was about a 15 minutes tricycle ride. So location is also up to preference!

• Madison (10/5): Home away from home - Such a good central location which is walking distance to great restaurants and bars as well as the famous sardine spot. The owner was super friendly and organised a seamless transfer to and from Cebu airport for us. The complimentary breakfast is such a nice touch and they were kind enough to pack us takeaway breakfasts when we had very early mornings. A great shower with hot water and excellent pressure. The owners also own a bar called Tila’s which we spent a lot of time at as we would leave our stuff there and then just walk down the stairs and swim 40m out to the sardines and then come back for the happy hour deals! • Alison (9/5): Excellent food, location, and staff. - The breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly, and the location is great. The bed is a bit dented in from use but it didn’t detract from a good sleep just something that was better at other places I stayed at during my trip.
• Jack (9/5): Great location and great staff! - It was central but also out the way enough to be away from everything. Felt safe and secure and the staff were amazing. The chickens/roosters nearby made it quite hard to sleep at times however ear plugs were provided.

• Ekaterina (10/5): - Маленький отель всего на 4 комнаты, но при этом очень уютный. Отличное расположение, всего в 5 минутах от моря, но при этом немного в стороне от шумных баров центральной улицы. В номерах есть всё необходимое. Очень чисто! Персонал мега-доброжелательный. Помогли нам с арендой байка по хорошей цене, с организацией экскурсий к акулам и вообще со всеми нашими вопросами. Ещё один несомненный плюс: завтрак вам продадут именно тогда, когда вы проснётесь, даже если это будет поздно по общепринятым меркам. Всё было отлично. Единственное, хотелось бы чуть больше света в ванной комнате.

• Paris (9/5): - Location was amazing. Staff were lovely. The rooms were clean. The guest house organised our transfers to and from Cebu Airport, including various activities. The accomodation itself was quiet, off the busy road, and was very pretty.
• Yehonatan (7/5): נחמד לשהייה קצרה - מיקום מצוין, כשלוש דקות הליכה מהרחוב הראשי, שקט ונעים. מדובר במקום קטן ואינטימי עם ארבעה חדרים בלבד, מה שנותן תחושה רגועה ולא עמוסה. הצוות אדיב מאוד ונגיש, ענו בחיוב לכל בקשה והיו תמיד מוכנים לעזור. יש אבטחה בלילה, מה שמוסיף לתחושת הביטחון. ניתן להשכיר דרכם אופנוע וגם לסגור אטרקציות, אם כי המחירים מעט גבוהים יותר מאשר בחוץ. בסך הכל, תמורה טובה ומשתלמת למחיר. החדר קטן מאוד, על גבול הצפוף, כך שמי שחשוב לו מרווח כדאי שיקח זאת בחשבון לפני ההזמנה. בנוסף, ממש ליד הגסטהאוס יש תרנגול ארור!!!!!! שמקרקר כמעט ללא הפסקה, ביום ובלילה, מה שפגע לנו משמעותית באיכות השינה. אכלנו ארוחת בוקר פעם אחת בלבד ולאחר מכן העדפנו לאכול בחוץ. הטעמים פחות התאימו לנו באופן אישי, אבל זה כמובן עניין סובייקטיבי.

• Vanessa (9/5): Alles was man braucht - Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten mit unseren beiden Backpacks genug Platz. Die Unterkunft bietet auch Strandtücher an. Das Frühstück ist einfach gehalten aber es schmeckt und man kann jederzeit nachbestellen. Die Lage ist super, weg vom Lärm aber nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt in die belebte Umgebung. Wir haben auch über die Unterkunft eine Canyoning Tour gebucht und diese war klasse! -

• YEONGJUN (9/5): - 1. 직원들이 매우 친절해요. 언제나 웃으며 인사해주고, 필요한거 있는지 먼저 체크해줘요 2. 에어컨, 공기청정기, 냉장고, 테라스 등 객실 시설이 좋아요 3. 벌레도 나오지 않을만큼 쾌적하고 청결해요 4. 수압이 좋고, 핫샤워가 가능해서 샤워할 때 좋아요 5. 야간 경비가 지키고 있어서 안전해요 1. 주변에 닭을 키우는 농장이 있는지 밤새 닭이 울어요 2. 샤워기가 고정형인 점, 세면대에는 온수가 나오지 않는 점은 아쉬워요 3. 객실 내에 전기 포트가 있으면 좋겠어요 *하지만 이런점을 감안하더라도 강력 추천하는 숙소에요

The 7:00 - 8:00 AM slot can be tough on the single staff at that time trying to get breakfast for the 4 rooms of the guesthouse. During my stay, all 4 rooms' guests were up early around 7:00 which made it tough for the single staff.

Breakfast had limited but good options and a la carte style, which is my favorite. Free coffee and filtered water. Maybe the bathroom could have a place where we can put our toiletries. Not a deal-breaker, but don't expect a big room.

This was a very silent area away from the noisy streets. I had one problem with my astma because there is a litte local city after this place where they makes fire every evening /night.
• Stewart (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Roos with very friendly staff and central location. - The quiet location which was reasonably central to sardine run, restaurants and bars. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. They also organised any trips eg. waterfalls we wanted to do. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. Free coffee, tea and water. The rooms were fairly small. There was no hot water in the basin. Cutting the weeds down the back would have made it present even better. It would have been good to offer more alcoholic drinks than just beer.

• Helmut (9/5): Good choice in Moalboal - Very nice and friendly staff. It is a bit away from the traffic of the main road, so more quiet. There are a few cocks in the night, but you get ear plugs in case it will disturb your sleep. Nice views into the green from the balcony. One of the few rooms with a clever electrical installation. Power sockets where you need them and a silent aircon. Folder with good information in every room. In case of rain, the road to the resort is muddy and flooded. Transport and tours are more expensive, than in other places. But important, that they work! Other places have a bit more choice in breakfast. The owner is not friendly. He just ignores his guests.

The staff welcomed us in a super friendly manner, immediately introduced us to the hotel and the town. 10 out of 10. The owner has made sure you can book all your activities through them, which is super nice because it takes out stress, time spend and research done. You just let them know what you want and voilà it's done. The outside area is just sooo chill, you feel like every breath you take is calmness.

• Laura (9/5): A great stay, highly recommend - We had a great stay here. The owners and staff are very welcoming and take care of everything you need. Everywhere is clean and comfortable and breakfast is lovely, location couldn’t be better! We booked day trips and rented scooters with them which all worked out great. The only small thing is the roosters are a little loud in the early mornings but the staff provide ear plugs which helps.

• Maria Eirin (10/5): - I cannot recommend Roos Guesthouse enough for anyone staying in Moalboal! The accommodation itself is gorgeous, the rooms and bar/eating area are super clean and tidy. The location is perfect, all restaurants, shops and cafes are just a minutes walk away and yet the Guesthouse is a quiet and calm place to stay. The staff are another brilliant thing about Roos. They were so welcoming and helpful throughout our whole stay. They organised an airport transfer for us, day trips and anything else that we needed! The breakfast that was served daily was delicious, as was the additional food that they offered. This is absolutely the best place to stay in Moalboal! Thank you for a brilliant stay! There was nothing I didnt like.

Good location and a great breakfast that was flexible so that if we wanted a later start, or if we started very early and wanted to have the breakfast much later after a rest, we still could! Very cute cat as well! The lovely staff who cared for us really made the trip special for us! Nothing that could be changed - roosters can be loud at times but earplugs are provided, and i can sleep through them anyway!

Location is really close to Main Street, yet far enough to be quiet and cozy Receptionist and team was just great, experience was really smooth! They helped us to organise transfer from cebu airport and book canyoneering (totally must do) for next day !

В общей зоне кулер с водой, чай и кофе в доступе. В проживание включён вкусный завтрак. По запросу предоставили утюг. Администрация гестхауса любезно предложила посетить Рождественский ужин в соседнем заведении, подарили кружки. Громкий шум от соседнего клуба, который не давал спать ночью, но это не вина гестхауса. В целом Моалбоал город вечеринок и громкой музыки.

• SEEUN (10/5): 무조건 강추입니다 최고최고 - 1. 인테리어 굿 2. 쾌적한 숙소(정말 쾌적함) 꿉꿉한 날씨에도 방이 쾌적해서 불편했던 적이 없습니다. 3. 정말 착한 직원분들 4. 필리핀 음식 입에 안맞는데, 맛있는 조식 5. 음식을 먹을 수 있는 라운지? 같은 공간이 있는데 활용도 높음. 6. 거북이 볼 수 있는 해변과 가까움(도보 8분) 7. 닭소리는 낮에나고 밤에 안납니다. 그리고 거북이 보려면 오전에 일어나야하는데, 닭소리 듣고 일어나면 딱 맞습니다. 8. 가성비 좋음 9. 위치 좋음. 모알보알 메인 스트리트와 정말 가까움 10. 룸클리닝 매일 가능. 11. 트라이사이클 싼 가격에 불러줌. 무조건 강추입니다. 저는 다음에도 루소 게스트하우스를 무조건 이용할 예정입니다. 정말 강추 최고 리뷰를 쓰는 사람이 아닌데, 사장님부터 직원분들까지 이번 여행에서 바다 다음으로 가장 마음에 드는 요소였습니다. 꼭 다시 갈거임! • Pascal (10/5): Perfect - Most comfortable stay in the Phillipenes after three weeks of traveling. Everything was clean and well organized. The host takes care of the guests and provide a booklet of tips, tours, and restaurants. The location is very good, surrounded by many restaurants, and close to the beach for the sardine run. Thanks to the tip of the host we booked a trip to the whale shark watching with them and directly connected it with a ferry from Oslob to Panglao (Bohol) which saved us the travel back to cebu city
• Sarah (10/5): Clean, comfortable, friendly and a great location! - This place is an absolute gem! The team are incredibly friendly and helpful. The accommodation is super clean and comfortable. Choice of breakfast options included which were tasty and prepared when ready - any time! And free purified water, tea and coffee all day. Plus, it’s just a few minutes walk to the main drag of restaurant options, and just a few minutes further to snorkelling with thousands of sardines and some turtles just off the shore. Highly recommend.

• Sergey (10/5): 💔 - —исключительный персонал —безупречная чистота —шикарное лобби, где есть выбор бесплатных напитков, и всегда имеется питьевая вода —договорились с соседом чтобы я смог припарковать свою машину. Заранее зарезервировали мне место. Это, понятно, платно (платил соседу) но сняло кучу проблем. —близко до пляжа. —на небольшом расстоянии от движовой улицы, звуки не доносятся —была возможность постирать вещи за отдельную плату прямо в объекте проживания. —большой выбор завтраков. Готовят очень вкусно. Порции щедрые. —полно петухов в округе, как и на всем острове. Они очень шумные и могут кукарекать практически круглосуточно. Это не вина отеля. —комнатка чуть-чуть мала. Мы размещались на 3 ночи и нам не хватало места чтобы удобно организовать свои все дом в номере. В доступе есть балкон, там можно тоже много чего разложить, как минимум все что нуждается в сушке и связано с морем. —мы были очень уставшие с дороги и процесс заселения (знакомство с объектом, правилами, предложение помощи с бронированием) заняло больше времени, чем хотелось. Лучше вначале спросить гостя, хочет ли он сначала отдохнуть, а потом уже можно спокойно все рассказать.
• Shelley (8/5): Cozy quaint and clean! - Stayed for 3 nights. Spotless rooms, and although super small, they are very comfortable. The staff are exceptional and breakfast is good. The property is very close to the road for very easy access to restaurants and bars; also a short walk to the beach area. The staff arranged the Kawasan Falls canyoneering tour for us, which was excellent, and transportation to and from the hotel. Overall a wonderful place to stay! All the reviews that mention the roosters next door making so much noise is unfortunately true. Couldn’t get a full nights sleep in even with earplugs. But I wouldn’t let this deter you from booking here unless you’re a super light sleeper!

• Katarzyna (10/5): - Wspaniała obsługa, pokój przyjemny i bardzo czysty. Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, pyszne śniadania, ładny ogród. Chętnie byśmy wrócili :). Stosunek jakości do ceny przerósł nasze oczekiwania. Po wymeldowaniu się jechaliśmy na wycieczkę, więc pozwolono nam pozostawić bagaże oraz mieliśmy możliwość wzięcia prysznica po powrocie z wycieczki. W nocy i nad ranem słychać pianie kogutów (nam nie przeszkadzało) ale są zatyczki do uszu. Bardzo polecamy pobyt w tym miejscu
• Suana (10/5): Excellent, - Extremely friendly and responsive host, the staff goes above and beyond to guarantee your comfort. Delicious breakfast and comfortable rooms. The sardine run and turtle watching is a couple of minutes away. Loved our stay so much that we extended an extra night, I would totally recommend this place to anyone considering coming to Moalboal. They also have contacts if you’re interested in tours and there’s a great dive shop 1min away. The airport shuttle was hassle free as well! Forever grateful. Thank you Werner, Hannah & Roos’ staff!
