- Julia (10/5): We had a great stay , cottage was extremely comfortable, small touches were much appreciated . Would definately recom - The host had thought of everything …very well equipped. Charming cottage . Nothing
- David (10/5): Lovely chilled break - Excellent Nothing
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything about it there is nothing negative to say what so ever the host and property were above our expectations it’s safe to say Fay goes above and beyond for her guests
Exceptional There’s nothing I didn’t like Fay needs to be recognised as a fantastic person and host
- Alex (9/5): Great stay - Lovely character cottage, convenient walking distance from Beccles, easy communication with the host, we really enjoyed our stay.
- Clare (10/5): Amazing stay we ll be back! - The house was beautifully clean and warm
- Mark (9/5): Excellent cottage very comfortable - The welcome hamper and the quality and amount of items left in the kitchen and bathrooms
- AUBREY (10/5): - Lovely cottage. Perfect for our needs.
- Justin (10/5): Beehive cottage - Wonderful quirky cottage in a great location Nothing
- Rose (8/5): Very good - The location was peaceful but also was in walking distance of nice walks, pubs and Beccles We were there for latitude festival and the shuttle bus service not great from Beccles as you had to change and only 1 bus back at 12.45 pm. However the property was good.

- Anne-marie (9/5): Comfortable and clean. - Property was very clean with easy access to Beccles. A couple more saucepans would be handy.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): Would go again - Beautiful cottage, good parking, excellent location The shower was hard to control
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harvey (10/5): Lovely property well located for the roving explorers - We really enjoyed the authentic charm of this property. The large front garden was secure for our dogs and ample for our two large SUVs . Particularly well located for our needs but generally well poised for taking in the broads and the delights of the east coast. Reversing out of the drive benefits from a team mate and accessibility in the property rules out the infirm but we are in our 60s and there was nothing about these aspects that spoiled what was a great stay .
- Christina (9/5): Superb - Clean and cozy and perfect location for us There was only 1 hand towel between 4 people
There is only enough seating in the lounge for 3 people. 1 person had to sit on a dining chair which isn’t ideal
- Ruth (10/5): We had absolutely great time at Beehive Cottage and would be back if we were ever that way again - Has been well looked after, was comfy and cosy We were four adults so could have done with an extra arm chair / sofa in the lounge but that’s really nit picking
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (8/5): Great host - very responsive and helpful! Cosy and clean cottage, easily accessible to Beccles -
- Gina (9/5): Beautiful and very relaxing. - The house was beautiful- very charming and felt very relaxing. Appreciate that this is not an option for this house but not having an upstairs toilet is a little inconvenient for those with kids. One of the beds in the twin room has a different mattress which was less comfortable so they switched to make it fair half way through. This is nit picking as we loved the house and would definitely stay again.
- Sophie (9/5): Great cottage and lovely break - Great property, well equipped with very communicative owner.
- Brian (9/5): A very comfortable and pretty cottage with a nice walk along the river to Beccles. - A cosy cottage with easy parking and nice garden. Having to check out at 9 o clock.
- Matthew (9/5): Fantastic stay and hope to return. - The location of the cottage was great. Loved walking into Beccles and exploring.
The cottage itself was comfortable, clean and felt cosy. Great to have parking for two cars.
Secure garden area meant the dog was safe.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Lovely cottage, very comfortable in a peaceful attractive location - The cottage was easy to find and very well equipped and comfortable. The welcome pack was very.....welcome after a long journey. It was a very convenient location for the wedding we were attending and Beccles is close by and well provided with shops. Morrisons particularly handy. The low ceilings! However the description did mention them and we grew to love them!! (We are quite a tall family). They wouldn't stop me going there again as they are part of the cottage's character.
- Mary (10/5): A great find - Lovely cottage with space for parking. Welcome gift items in hamper was a nice touch.
Was nice and cosy and very quiet. Nothing.
- Vicky (10/5): Perfect, wonderful, comfortable amazing - From the property to the owners to the location I cannot recommend this cottage enough it is so beautiful. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home even the dogs. This is a must if you are looking to stay in Suffolk. It is very near all the great spots. Absolutely nothing
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (9/5): I would highly recommend staying at Beehive Cottage. Fay was a great host. - Very generous welcome hamper
Spotlessly clean
Spacious Probably needs a new shower curtain
If an upstairs toilet could be squeezed in (a huge ask, I know), it would’ve been a five across the board
- Anonymous (10/5): Beautiful quaint cottage - A truly beautiful cottage, well equipped, truly dog friendly and really comfortable. Fay, the host, was amazing, really attentive and kind enough to let us check-in early at the last minute. Beehive cottage was a beautiful place for us to work from home whilst we visited family in the area. The property is quirky and beautifully presented, with all the home comforts anyone could need. A truly outstanding place to stay.
- Alison (10/5): Very comfortable stay in a beautiful cottage with all amenities needed. - Beautifully renovated keeping the authenticity of the property and its age. Nothing
- John (8/5): Had a 3 night stay over a weekend. We found the cottage and surrounding area very pleasant and hope - Really loved the location,15 minute walk into Beccles.Good to be close to the lovely town.Good selection of Restaurants and Cafes. Lovely comfortable bed.Good to have parking on the premises.Fay and Richard had renovated the cottage sympathetically and it felt very cosy and comfortable. Would have liked a dishwasher and a freezer box would be handy in the hot weather.
- Sally (8/5): We were very happy at Beehive Cottage which comfortably suited us all, both indoors and out. - breakfast n/a
The location was perfect for our needs and its proximity to local hostelries and the town of Beccles meant that we were able to spend time with the relatives we had come to visit and take advantage of the pubs which all served good food. There were 3 adults staying together:
1) we would have appreciated additional tea-towels and more generous bath towels.
2) hooks - whenever we rent a property it always seems short of hooks -for your dressing gown, to hang up towels, tea towels, aprons etc
3) it would be good to always check between guests to ensure that there is enough tableware for all those who are staying, we were missing tea-plates and a water jug and milk jug would also be useful.
4) in this hot weather -there was no way to make ice or store frozen products.
- Richard (9/5): Fay is the perfect host, the location was amazing and the cottage so characterful. We would love to come back. - A modernised and authentic cottage that’s cosy, well appointed and such a nice place to stay. perfect location for some great Suffolk coastal destinations too! whilst loving the quirky cottage feel, the stairs were not the easiest to navigate with a suitcase and a robust 6 foot frame. Not the fault of the property or owner, just the only thing I could say in this box.
- Brad (10/5): lovely cottage, highly recommended - everything nothing
- Kathy (10/5): Home from Home - The owner Fay was so friendly and helpful.A very thorough information pack was available in the cottage with suggestions of things to do places to go and place's to eat. Nothing
