- P (10/5): We had a great time, everything was perfect -
- Parikshit (8/5): Very good - Everything was good. Great location, wifii was not working all through my stay and the mobile did not have a proper network. But difficult to work remotely..
but rest everything was amazing, very responsive host and good amenities
- Millona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikolay (8/5): Good value for money - The location is superb. The Colosseum is a 4min walk away as well as other tourist sites. There is also a nice supermarket (Conad) and an amazing pizza place nearby. - The securing of the electrical sockets could be better.
- The place differed a bit from the pictures - less paintings and the gramophone was missing.
- Dorothy (8/5): Very good - The property was a few minutes walk to the colosseum and roman forum. Also close to the metro and buses. There was many good food places in the area. The place was on the 2nd floor, so bringing heavy suitcases was hard. The gas stove lighter was broken and there was nothing to light with. Great for travelling with kids but not ideal for 4 adults
- Sorina (7/5): Good - It is central situated The accomodation itself
- Daniel (9/5): Great central location for a few days in Rome - The generous amount of food and drink provided by the host was very welcome but far too much for just the 2 of us. The location was spot on with the colosseum at the end of the street. The apartment was very close to a metro entrance but unfortuanetely that was closed during our visit
- Magdalena (8/5): Great location - The location of this apartment is fantastic, right next to the Colosseum, but on a small and quiet street. Lots of bars and restaurant around, and we’ve seen all main attractions of Rome by walking. Also super close to Roma Termini when arriving from the airport on a train. The flat is spacious and I liked the original furniture and ceilings. Contact with the host very smooth and easy. I was surprised when walked in because the flat looks very different than in the photos. The walls are bare, I expected a cozy and quaint feeling but it was just very basic. Kitchen is a bit used already and the finger prints on cupboard doors could be wiped. There was some old food bits on the floor and it just could use a deeper cleaning.
- Grady (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (9/5): Superb - Enjoyed breakfast and treats. Washer dryer was very helpful. Host was extremely responsive. Clean, spacious and comfortable while we were in Rome. Also great location.
- Jessica (10/5): The best apartment we've ever stayed in! - Absolutely stunning apartment in the most amazing location. There were so many extra thoughtful amenities such as food in the fridge for an italian breakfast and a bottle of sparkling wine. We met Virginia when we arrived and she was so lovely and welcoming. The apartment is clean and the bed is so comfortable. We loved this apartment and wished we had booked to stay for longer! We will definitely be returning to this apartment on our next trip to Rome. Nothing!!
- Stephen (9/5): Great stay in lovely location - Food left for breakfast was typically Italian, but very good and the cupboards were well stocked for the whole of our stay, with bread, milk, cereal, cheese, cold meats, jam, coffee, cakes, fruit. The location was great for the main attractions especially the Colosseum 3 mins away. And only 20min walk or 5 min taxi from Bus/Rail Terminal. Plenty of restaurants close by A couple of disappointments, 1 the stairs, steep and shallow, but it’s an old building. The only issue was getting the cases up to the 2nd floor. 2 the smell from the toilet, it wasn’t pleasant, but it didn’t distract from our holiday.
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (8/5): Enjoyed our stay! - The location was fantastic!
- Liliana (10/5): Amazing!! Book it!! - Everything!!! It’s beautiful, clean, spacious, has so much food for breakfast, great AC units, washing and drying machine (big plus on this 100 degree weather). Amazing host!! Also, literally 5 min walk from the Colosseum.
- Andrea (9/5): Brilliant location for a very comfortable stay - The apartment is very well set up and everything you need is on hand for a comfortable stay in authentic surrounds. Air con very efficient, comfy beds, good shower (smaller side but normal for Italy) and good washing machine/dryer. Very generous breakfast provisions. Location excellent, loved night walks to the Roman Forum and Colosseum and on a very quiet street as only residents permitted (and taxis if you need - handy for airport transfers). Felt very safe too. We walked everywhere from the apartment even in summer temps. Virginia is wonderful to deal with - very responsive. Self check is seamless. Location great for sightseeing but Monti is light on for quality restaurants, very touristy given location (do not recommend the closest option Al Cardello - very poor experience!). Need to move further on if you’re after an authentic experience. A guide left at the apartment from the host would be really appreciated in this regard with restaurant and nearby supermarket locations for those wanting to self cater. Floors didn’t feel or appear to have been cleaned.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect, there was food in the fridge, there was a washing machine and the wifi worked. nothing worth mentioning
- Jakub (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, cosy apartment. A lot of space. Amazing details in the apartment. Welcome gifts.
Extraordinary experience.
- Christina (10/5): Convenient, clean, and homey! - We loved the location and the space ! It was a gorgeous two bedroom stay!
- Aaron (10/5): Fantastic stay! Central, convenient and the most well equipped apartment you could ask for. - The apartment has everything you could ask for, is in a very convenient location and the host goes out of her way to make sure you're equipped with everything you need for your stay in Rome. 11/10 would recommend.
- Edward (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Beautiful apartment in a stunning location - Amazing apartment in a stunning location with views of the Colosseum. Location could not have been better. Beautiful furnishings & extremely well equipped. We have never stayed in a property where so much breakfast food was provided, plus a bottle of Asti and an Easter cake! Have already recommended to friends - it was absolutely perfect! The only issue was communication regarding check in & out. Other than than that everything was faultless.
- Paul (10/5): An excellent apartment in a fantastic location with excellent hosts - The location was fantastic. The hosts could not have been any better. The breakfast and the extra food that was left for us was a very nice touch. The hosts even left a bottle of champagne and choclates. Everything was great
- Melwyn (8/5): It’s a simple yet comfortable place to stay - The host were kind and helpful. The refrigerator was stuffed with food for breakfast. The apartment had all the facilities for a comfortable stay. The location was the highlight. We could see the coliseum from the apartment entrance. All in all, a good place to stay You have to carry your luggage via two flight of stairs before reaching the apartment
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional - everything was perfect! It's such a beautiful apartment, just ok the Colosseum'a doorstep. Great location to visit Rome. That we couldn't stay more.
- Klára (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect! The apartment is cozy, clean and in a great location! Thank you for a great days in Rome!
- Hamza (9/5): AMAZING hosts and beautiful apartment - The hosts were out of this world kind and lovely, they went over and beyond to provide us with food (fridge was packed and pantry as well), champagne, and basically made the house a home for guests they never met. The AC placement in the room is not in a good place as it is right next to your face so the noise and the air can be disturbing, and the stairs are bit of a mission
- Kim (1/5): Disappointing - Location was wonderful The owner, Marco, hosted us for 4 nights and had assured us of 2 more nights on the back end of our 2 week stay in Italy. He asked us NOT to use booking.com for the additional two nights we requested and instead to pay upon arrival. I kept all notes and screenshots. The night before we left Rome to explore other cities in Italy I tried to reach him all day and he finally got back to us at 9:00pm saying he was sorry, but he had overbooked (he said his mother did it) and could not host us. My husband showed him the proof of his promise and he ghosted us for over an hour. We finally made other accommodations and then Marco tried to say he had the dates wrong even though he was staring right at the dates my husband had sent him that clearly stated the 18-20th and he said his mom had accepted someone else the 20-22nd! There WAS no overlap! He could not seem to understand this. A lot of unnecessary headache for nothing. Very, very disappointing. He said this is a side business and he is too busy with his work and studies to commit time to this business. Well, tourism is a HUGE business in Italy. If you want location only (and don’t care about hot water, because it lasts literally 1 minute, or the smell of raw sewage coming up through the sink) then book here.
- Anne (10/5): This was the perfect place to stay in Rome! We felt right at home & wouldn't hesitate to book again! - Location was perfect - super close to all the best sites, but just off the beaten path for a more authentic feel away from tourists. Beautifully designed and cozy. A very comfortable bed with AC in bedroom! Every detail was so well thought out. We only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer.
- Monica (9/5): Wonderful place to stay for a short city break - Fabulous location right next to the colosseum and forum. Quiet location close to lots of restaurants and metro All great
- Jessica (10/5): Exceeded our expectations! - We loved absolutely everything!! Clean, beautifully styled and an incredible location! Marco was very accommodating to our needs with a toddler.
The airbnb itself was a highlight during our stay in Rome. Would stay again and recommend to everyone! 100/10
- Philip (10/5): Great location and a well stocked fridge and kitchen for breakfast! - Style, location and the hospitality. No
- Maddison (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and great space. Aircon was nice and cold which was great after a whole day of walking.
Breakfast was delicious and it was excellent to be able to actually wash and dry our clothes. Check in was not very clear and the oven didn’t work.
- Guilherme (10/5): Would definitely stay again! - We loved out stay! Location is perfect if you're in Rome for tourism. Literally steps from Colosseum. Close to most major attractions. Safe. Close to the subway, bus stop, restaurants etc. The host was super nice. The apartment is beautiful. Clean, carefully decorated, full of personality. Everything was comfortable. The windows were sound proof, so no noise from the street bothered us at night, even being in a touristy area. There is air conditioning for the hot summer. There was even a washer and dryer that saved us a trip to the laundromat. The kitchen was very well stocked. My wife wanted to stay longer.
- Bernhard (9/5): Great central and cosy apartment ideal for exploring Rome - Super location a stone throw from the Collosseum and in walking distance to so much that makes Rome the super attraction that it is. Lively area but still quiet for a good night‘s rest. The owners are super nice and helpful, the apartment with everything you‘d expect from this type of property from coffee machine to TV to aircon. Also with little nice touches like a bottle of Prosecco and some salami and prosciutto in the fridge. Nice and cozy home which is an ideal base to explore the sights of Rome. Not a problem if you are mobile and not a problem for us but people booking should be aware that there is no lift with a couple of stairs to maneuver. We came by car, so make sure you arrange some parking before you arrive.
- Carlos (8/5): Great location, wonderfully provisioned apartment. But be careful about number and type of beds! - I have never stayed in an apartment via Booking.com that was as well-provisioned as Colosseum House. The breakfast and food provisions were good and generous. We didn't have to do any shopping as the apartment kitchen and refrigerator were so well stocked. Excellent care of guests in this respect. We were met at the property by the mother of the host. The listing on Booking.com said that there were three beds in the apartment, but when we arrived there was a sofa-bed in the dining room / kitchen area and a daybed in the same room. These two could generously be considered 2 beds at best. The third bed was in a locked bedroom. We had to argue with the host to be allowed access to the bedroom and the third bed, as advertised.
- Joost (10/5): perfect place for quick rome trip - Perfect location for sightseeing, but in a quiete secluded alley, so not too much noise and such.
Friendly english speaking hosts readily available on mobile phone.
A lot of food and drinks were provided by the hosts.
Price/quality probably the best around.
Read up on rome traffic laws to avoid tickets regarding car free zones on specific times.
