Guest Reviews
- Sharlem (7/5): -
- Philipp (9/5): -
- Lea (3/5): - The staff where lovely. The place is old, facilities where dirty
Room smelt musky and wasnt made up when i arrived.
Says its kid friendly but isnt whatsoever.
I left after being there for an hour.
- Peter (6/5): Basic facilities suitable for an overnight stay. - It was a basic room above a pub. It served a purpose. I don't recall seeing in the description that the bathroom facilities were communal. Thankfully shower gel was supplied. Towels were provided but no face washer? Also a kettle was provided but not tea or coffee making facilities? Pretty pointless especially as the pub downstairs was closed until 10am. No means of getting breakfast on a Sunday aside from walking to a 'nearby cafe'. Window blinds hard to use. No power points near the bed either.
- James (2/5): -
- Whitney (10/5): - Comfortable stay food is amazing staff are helpful and friendly
- Coral (6/5): - Cockroaches in the bathroom & behind television not even a cake of soap in the bathroom. Over charging one elderly person $265.00 for 2 nights & said they would give him $50 credit but didn’t.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Peter (10/5): Excellent Value, High Standard of Cleanliness, Great Staff! - Friendly staff, great food, clean throughout, easy parking and Rock'n Roads are a superb live rock and pop band. Blind missing from one window in the bedroom, but not a big deal.
- Tamara (10/5): Love it - Perfect and within walking distance of the train station
- geoffrey (1/5): totally functional, neede two nights only - noisy run down establishment, needs a good coat of paint and a tradesmen, plumber etc to go through the place but you get what you pay for. cheap read above
- Brendan (8/5): Nice staff - I only went to work didn’t relax
- David (7/5): -
- Brinkley (1/5): did not stay the night - bugs in the room, u disclosed location above a pub, no aircon and no fly screen meant the room temp was 32 degrees at 10pm, half eaten pizza in the fridge, terrible condition with shoddy wiring, no light fixture covers and all around filthy
- Luca (3/5): Memorabile ma non in positivo. - Rappresenta un nucleo per il paese circostante. Livello di pulizia molto carente, compresi i bagni. Camere calde e un forte cattivo odore che impedisce un riposo sano e confortevole.
- Kathy Gibson (7/5): Good comfy stay - The bed was so comfortable and sheets were clean and fresh. Comfy pillows (i didn't need mine this time as these were good)
The room was spacious.
I was close to the shared bathroom.
The cleaner (Sarah) was lovely.
There is a big ceiling fan.
Basin in the room. TV worked, a jug for a cuppa.
It was "quiet" of a night to sleep.
Car park is out the back of the Hotel, it's not secured but cameras everywhere, so i felt ok leaving my car.
IGA right next door. No a/c however they are putting them in the rooms.
The portable a/c in there was a bit noisy and leaked water on the carpet but sort of did the job as the windows could not be opened due to glass breakage. (I was ok with this, under the circumstances)
No blinds to block out light.
Needs some TLC but over all a nice place to stay.
- Kathy Gibson (7/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): -
- Cerea (10/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable - Excellent food. A PowerPoint closer to the bed
- Joanna (8/5): -
- Jeffrey (7/5): - The location was perfect for my requirements. The hotel accommodation is dated but was clean and comfortable. I didn’t have breakfast, but the dinner was very nice. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
- Tanya (8/5): -
- Joshua (8/5): -
- Angela (5/5): Nice staff but we were not use to so much noise and a share bathroom - The room was clean. Would probably better suit budget backpackers. The doors to rooms didn't close properly, so everyone all night keep slamming them to shut them. I didn't realise when I booked it was a shared bathroom. You couldn't close the main door only the shower door (typical basic latch door with plastic latch) and I did not feel comfortable with that at all.
- Narayana (4/5): would not recommend - The bathroom was out of order, which is not very good.
- Tiny (5/5): -
- Ciaran (3/5): Won’t be back unless very stuck for somewhere - Food was good Window was held open with a chair. Cockroaches everywhere.
- Danielle (1/5): -
- Deborah (3/5): The cheap price did not make up for the inadequacies of the room. - good location, quiet room There were large cockroaches in the room. The one chair had a torn seat. One window did not have a blind, the doorlock was not strong and I did not feel safe. The staff did not know I was coming. There were only 3 choices on the menu for a meal.
- Bernice (5/5): -
- Savannah (2/5): -
- Chris (7/5): - Friendly, inviting pub So many slammed doors
- Frank (1/5): Unacceptable hygiene conditions with cockroaches and wasps - we couldn’t stay and left immediately. - The staff was polite when showing us the facilities. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our stay Upon entering the room, we found 7 dead cockroaches on the window and an active wasp nest. The conditions were unsanitary and dangerous. We left immediately without staying the night and received no breakfast despite peak season pricing.
- Jason (8/5): -
- Patel (1/5): - Not happy Not happy no more
- Wei (5/5): -
- Natalia (9/5): A place with lots of character, friendly staff, I had a great sleep! - Yesteryear charm with sash windows and a wooden staircase. Crispy linens and a comfy bed. Useful booklets about local activities.
- Rodrigo (9/5): - They didn't have latin music in the karaoke. We asked for despacito from Luis Fonsi. Please add it to the repertory
- Julie (8/5): Good value got money. We enjoyed our tea and a breakfast the next morning. Thanks - Nice pub meal. Karaoke on Friday night was great. A well rehearsed team of singers. Made for an enjoyable evening Nothing
- Mike (9/5): Stayed there after a train trip to Sydney for lunch. Then drove home to Ulladulla the next morning. - Very clean room. Good selection of beers. Food was good. Not a thing
- Alex (8/5): It was nice to stay at the hotel and to hear about the history of the building, originally it was a large private reside - Very large and spacious room, good value for money, newly refurbished. The staff were friendly and helpful. Can’t think of anything.
- Norbert (9/5): - Great value for money.
- Alba (10/5): Genial - El staff era súper amable y súper dispuesta a ayudarme todo el rato en todo lo que necesitaba.
La habitación tenía de todo y súper bien equipada. Me ha encantado.
- ARIADNA (1/5): -
- Ursula (8/5): Comfortable Country Pub - It’s an old hotel, but well maintained. My room was clean and bright. Dinner downstairs was good. No surprise: Saturday night karaoke was LOUD. 🤣 But they wrapped up before midnight.
I had no bedside lamp, which was a nuisance.
- David (9/5): -

- Jennifer (8/5): good value, good location, great food. - Food in the pub was very good, service was excellent, very friendly staff.
- Chikhale (1/5): Bad - Not clean
Only one bathroom is in working condition other one always out of order
Needs pest control rats underneath the bed
- Sylwia (1/5): Bad - There were rodents in the room no 6- mice!
Christie- membran of a Staff told me " it's Old building and they just come in....!!!"
Dirty and stinky płacę. Dont recomend
- William (4/5): Disappointing - Hotel staff were friendly and location was good. Even though its cheap, not really good value for money, toilets and showers were dirty, wifi didnt work in my room and music was very loud on Saturday night
- Ylca (4/5): Disappointing -
- Miguel (4/5): Disappointing - The room was fine, besides a few cobwebs. Staff was nice. The shared toilet was extremely dirty and full of flies and mosquitoes.
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brett (1/5): Only stayed 1 night would not recommend this hotel - Dirt and cobwebs on the fan no air con shower was dirty lock on toilet door Brocken curtains did not cover all the window you could see in the room
- Benny (7/5): Good - Staff and Local Patrons are welcoming of Guest's...
The locals are a barrel of laughs and good people.
Great delicious food and menu has variety.
Atmosphere of a quaint charming country pub
Plenty of space to roam and guest room and common areas are quite private and quiet for a pub, so a good sleep won't be compromised here even with the train station.
The lovely solid old building holds the sound proofing well.
Highly recommended There is a couple of things however Management are well aware and always improving or updating recent renovations
I've seen the old bar and compared to how it is now amd the charm just gets better.
- Bunny (2/5): Very poor experience. - We couldn’t open the windows and they were covered with cobwebs and dirt on window sills.
There were Cockroach’s and when we turned the ceiling fan on,the dust went everywhere.
AND we had a man burst into our room about 11.30pm in his underwear,so drunk he didn’t know where he was.
And we don’t know how he got in.
- Chikhale (3/5): Poor -
- Rod (6/5): Pleasant - My room was double booked.
- Stephen (8/5): Quite good for pub accom! -
- Luke (7/5): Good -
- Virginia (9/5): Value for money, excellent pub stay accommodation - Location excellent for anyone needing the train to nearby towns like Berry. Staff were great, value for money was great.
- Margaret (9/5): A relaxed and comfortable environment. - It was great. We loved the big rooms, the friendly staff and the meals. We loved everything about the stay and look forward to returning.
- Barbs (8/5): Very good -
- Todd (7/5): Good -
- Sinbad (1/5): Avoid this place at all cost - Nothing, there’s absolutely nothing to like about this property This place is a complete dump, windows with sheets of glass missing, wasps outside every window, bars falling out of windows/safety cages room that smell worse in a public toilet in Sydney on a summers day. There is nothing to like about this property. the food was pretty good and the staff were great. The property itself needs to be burnt to the ground and rebuild. Oh, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work, TV doesn’t work, and someone took a shit in the shower.
- Jason (8/5): Value for money, friendly service and pleasant surrounds. -
- Denis (8/5): Very good - Everything was good All good
- Roy (10/5): Everything you want in a hotel stay. - Roomy , clean and quiet Nothing
- Clair (7/5): Good - When we arrived, we headed to the bar, where the staff warmly assisted us in checking in and getting our room. Connor, in particular, was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the process smooth and welcoming.
We stayed in Room 5, which was spacious and had comfortable beds with clean sheets and towels. The shared toilets and showers were well-maintained and had hot water, which was a bonus. we did find a pair of flip-flops left behind by previous guests in our room, which was a bit off-putting. Apart from this minor oversight, everything else was great. The friendly service made for a pleasant stay!
- Brayan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maryanne (5/5): Manager nice enough but care factor “0”. Would look for other choices before staying there again. - I loved the room. Concerned that the rubbish from the guest prior to me had not been removed. Basin in the room had not been cleaned. The bunk bed (which I did not use) looked like it had not been made properly which suggested to me that sheets were not changed. Manager forgot to tell me about getting into premises at night. Another staff member seemed to know more about the hotel and was more helpful. The communal kitchen was terrible. Dishes left by another customer and not put away and don’t even get me started on the fridge!
- Jim (1/5): Terrible - Not clean It wasn’t clean
- Pandelis (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and neat with a hand basin because facilities were shared. There was a lot of upgrading of facilities, so fi ding a bathroom was a challenge. Just locking the door to the hotel would be better than placing an alarm on it. It was 5 past 10 and Ifrightened the daylights out of other guests and myself.
