- Ian (10/5): - This is a lovely quirky cottage, set on the side of a hill with fabulous views across the valley. We did spend a lot of time just watching the changing light and conditions from the seats in the kitchen. Kettle and toaster to hand for brews and toast.
The cottage is well equipped and we arrived to fresh bread milk, marmalade and butter in the fridge. Nice touch.
The log burner in the lounge was easy to light and burned with a lovely display of curling flames kept the whole house warm as toast. Steps a little steep to the bedroom but our old creaking knees were the problem .

The kitchen was particularly well appointed as was the shower. Welcome pack of food basics was very thoughtful. Very minor point. A small icebox compartment in the fridge would have been handy.

Bed was really comfortable and great shower. Kitchen had everything you needed and thereβs a Tesco superstore nearby where you can get everything you need. Great walks around the cottage as well.
For the dogs, they provided bowls, towels and blankets! Dogs loved the little paths on the lane! Nothing
- Caroline (10/5): Cosy, relaxing cottage stay - We loved our stay here. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
It is a great location, peaceful with incredible views and loads of local walks and attractions to explore. We wished we'd booked longer, but a good excuse to return in the future.
We managed to cram in a short hike up Rodneys Pillar, a visit to the lyme works / nature reserve and a trip to Powis Castle (NT). There were plenty of walks that could be undertaken from the cottage as well and lots of local wildlife to see.
There were plenty of places to eat locally and plenty within a short driving distance of the property. The owners provide a great guide to the local pubs and restaurants with local sample menus available in the cottage.
The cottage was well kitted out and we particularly liked the cosy log burner with plenty of fuel supplied. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, toaster, kettle, microwave, tea/coffee etc...
We discovered a great farmshop at Derwen Garden Centre about 15 minutes away. Really nice quiches, bread and other treats to nibble on during our stay! Nothing particularly. We had a very enjoyable stay and will return.
- Vivek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manning (10/5): Cosy cottage with beautiful views and log fire. Very clean and well equipped. - Gorgeous cosy cottage with fantastic views! Cleaned to a gleaming standard, well presented and very well equipped. Milk, bread and preserves on arrival were really helpful as we were only staying the one night. Big box of games in the kitchen, smart TV and books to keep you occupied. Corinne really friendly and welcoming throughout. Bear in mind the cottage is situated on a very big steep hill. Which gives fantastic views but not so accessible for those with mobility issues. Not an issue at all but just something to consider when booking. My scarred lungs werenβt a fan of the incline haha.
