• Tessa (9/5): Beautiful calm stay - Very spacious room in a central location in the village with super kind and helpful staff. Pleasant onsen which you might have all to yourself. Quiet ryokan with lovely river views. Cold and hot water daily refreshed in your room. Cute katana to wear around town. I was confused about the wording around food through this platform (was it still possible to book meals?). If you have no special dietary needs, I would recommend to book meals at the Ryokan because the set up looks lovely and it provides such a comfortable experience. For outside eating I recommend Nomu. I think without breakfast included this would be too pricey for a western hotel, however this is in Japan.

• Aki (8/5): - ロケーションと、スタッフさんの親切、丁寧な対応が良かったです。 空きが出たとのことで予約したところより広いお部屋に変更していただけたことも感謝です。 施設は古めです。露天風呂と内風呂が繋がっていないところが多少不便かもしれません。 夕食の味がしょっぱ過ぎるものが多いように感じました。

The service is incredible, the rooms are clean, elegant and spacious, and the food is excellent. Definitely, definitely get the dinner. It’s a multi-course, seasonal meal that continues over 90 minutes.

The staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The dinner was outstanding — truly one of the highlights of my stay — and the breakfast was also excellent, with great quality and variety. The onsen and rotenburo were fantastic as well, very relaxing and beautifully designed. Everything exceeded my expectations. A solid 10/10 experience that I would highly recommend.

• NORIAKI (5/5): 秘境の宿で貸し切り温泉を！喧騒を忘れのんびりできる宿ですよ！ - フロントのお嬢さんが気さくに話しかけていただいてアウェー感がなくなりよかったです。また、夕食もおいしくいただきました。量的には丁度よかったのですが、馬刺しが特に美味しく、もう少しいただけたらなと思いました（一切ずつ3種類でしたがもう少し量があってもいいのかな）。馬刺しはニンニクに限りますね！風呂は全部利用させていただきました。すべて貸し切り状態でゆっくりできました。一人旅で、ややもすると寂しく感じる時もありますが、充実した温泉旅になりました。決して、大きな宿ではなく、部屋数も限りがある宿ですが、それなりにこじんまりして落ち着行ける宿でした。一人旅にはもってこいかもしれませんね。従業員の皆様に感謝申し上げます。 これは仕方のないことですが、宿までの道が狭すぎる！専用駐車場も入れずらかった！宿の方にやってもらい大変助かりました。これが黒川温泉らしいところかもしれませんね！秘境の宿と言われればそんな感じですかね！
• Benjamin (10/5): Relaxing and memorable short stay - Scenic location right by the Tanoharu River, managed to catch last night of the🏮lightshow! Rooms were comfortable, good spread for dinner and breakfast. Private onsen sufficiently hot 👍 Courteuos & helpful service from Kanta & the older lady. He picked up and dropped us off at the bus station which was very convenient. Overall satisfied & recommended to stay in Kurokawa :) There was no hot water for the shower in the onsen rooms when I was there
• Nat (10/5): Best onsen I have stayed at! - This is the best onsen I have stayed at in Japan, and I highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful, and the baths (four different kinds including two that are private and reservable) are beautiful, clean and with soft water at a great temperature. The interior was traditional and well maintained, and Kurokawa Onsen itself is traditional, beautiful and peaceful. I appreciated the small book (with English translations) about local voices and sustainability. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

• Jacob (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable with great food - It was a wonderful ryokan, attentive staff, delicious food, a nice traditional style room and some excellent hot springs. Had a wonderful time in Kurokawa and loved our stay. A must do on a Japan trip. Really don’t have anything notable to complain about.

Gav information och vägbeskrivningar informativt. Många varma bad att välja på. Måltiderna var ordentliga och vi åt oss mätta från morgon till kväll. Läget är lämpligt och inte långt ifrån busshållplatsen. Vi fick hjälp av receptionisten att boka taxi, vilket var väldigt uppskattat. Rummet är välstädat och vi fick goda tilltugg på rummet. Allt var bra. Inga klagomål.

• yoko (9/5): 温泉三昧 - まずは、場所が、温泉街のど真ん中で、雰囲気を満喫できました。11時より車を停めさせていただき、食べ歩きや、やまの湯さんの足湯につかりながらビールを飲んだりと、チェックインまでゆっくり楽しむことができました。 やまの湯さんに、お風呂が何ヶ所もあったので、チェックイン前に、新明館の洞窟温泉に入り、チェックインした後に館内で、4ヶ所入ったので、その日は5回も入浴しました。 スタッフの皆さんも、とても親切で、食事もおいしく、量も満足でした。また、利用したいと思いました。 ちょうど、湯あかりの時期で、雰囲気もばっちりでした。 トイレの水流れが少し弱く、何度も流してしまった。

• Leng Fong (10/5): - Cosy and rustic establishment with professional & attentive hotel crew, which welcomed us warmly upon our arrival till the day we left. Location was excellent in the middle of Kurosawa Hotspring Town, walkable to other onsen and eateries & shops nearby. The tatami room we booked was quite small but sufficient for two full futons plus a coffee table set up together. Best of all, this ryokan itself already has 7 onsens within, so more than sufficient to enjoy a hot dip, without visiting other onsens. We especially love the open air onsen at the top floor. We ordered the dinners, either Kaiseki or BBQ (grill), on different nights and they were both delicious and recommended. Overall a great and enjoyable experience for my wife & myself. The room has an attached toilet but no bathroom, so need to go down to either of the indoor onsen to shower.

• yeeun (10/5): - 관광객과 숙박객의 온천을 따로 나눠놓아서 프라이빗하게 즐길 수 있던 점이 좋았고, 온천의 퀄리티도 좋았습니다! 숙박정보에 따라서 옷이나 잠자리를 맞춤으로 준비해주신 점에 감동받았습니다. 여러모로 깔끔하고 친절하셔서 너무 좋은 경험이 되었습니다. 외에도 정류장까지 차로 데려다주시는 등 서비스도 좋았고 꼭 다시 가고 싶은 곳입니다. 너무 좋았지만 한가지 아쉬운 점은 사용했던 객실의 세면대가 물이 잘 내려가지 않았습니다. 그외에는 정말 좋았습니다!

• Damien (10/5): - Le Onsen familial était super pour pouvoir être au calme. Les repas étaient simplement divins ! Et tout a fait dans le style auberge typique (ryokan). La chambre est très bien. Et le futon très agréable. Le village est magnifique. La seule complexité est de se garer au bon endroit. Le mieux pour moi c'est le parking Myoban. Deuxième grand parking en entrant dans le village.

• Atchara (10/5): A perfect ryokan in stunning onsen town! - Everything about this ryokan is perfect. They have free pick up and drop off. Their ryokan is very well maintained. The service team is excellent. The location is perfect. The food was extremely good. They even have a really nice private onsen.

Prévenu en avance, le personnel s'est démené pour nous proposer des repas végétariens délicieux. Nous avons pu déposer nos bagages en avance et les laisser sur place bien après les heures de check in&out, et un chauffeur nous a amené jusqu'à l'arrêt de bus.
