- Lusanda (1/5): I had a horrible stay at KwaMageba's Palace. I wouldn't recommend it to any one, not worth my money - There were 3 Dogs that looked so terrifying.
We waited over 10 minutes to access the property. On arrival, there was a man passed out on the couch and the place was very dirty, including the floors. The host promised to send someone to clean, but no one came.
The bathroom was unhygienic, with toilet paper left around and a dirty dishcloth. We were disturbed by people knocking at the door late at night, including someone claiming I had a delivery at 23:40 and another person looking for a SIM card. The place was noisy and offered no peace.
The iron did not work, the rooms were extremely hot, and the property was difficult to find.
Overall, a very unpleasant experience.
- Mpendulo (1/5): - Nothing and at all. Accommodation wasn't easy to locate.
Got no response from the owner in terms of getting the room we were helped by a "stranger/tenant" who was intoxicated.
We found underwears of people who previously used the room.
There's no gate, no reception just dogs who scares the shit out of guests.
Accommodation is not safe... ohh and also, wifi is not working.
- Boitumelo (5/5): It felt like home but the bad out weighed the good. - The cleanliness of the place. The pool was well maintained. Hot water in abundance We struggled to get help. A lot of things were not working. We didn’t have proper cleaning supplies and the bins were not collected, meaning rats. The dogs on the property almost attacked us. Proper cooking utensils

- Bongie (1/5): Horrible experience - Nothing it was a horrible experience, I would not advice anyone to visit that place The place was dirty It seemed like they didn't know people were coming, they were smoking inside the apartment, condoms under the bed,the fridge was dirty, the toilet was dirty, they had dogs on the yard which was not noted when we booked,Dogs pop all over the host never picks up his phone or even bother to get back to us the whole weekend, sanitary used pads on the yard.
- Zulu (10/5): -
- Ntsikelelo (1/5): It was appalling, very bad, it had trucks and old cars in the yard. - The place is not easy to find, the neighborhood is not safe. No safe parking outside in the open. There are vicious dog at KaMageba we were scared to come out of the car, we ended up looking for another place to stay. We waited in the car for about 30 minutes without being attended after such a long wait we called a girl about 20 years old from whom we tried to get some information about the owners of the KaMageba palace. We did NOT stay there on 17-20 July 2025 because the place was not conducive for our stay. The place is adertized as near the lake, there is no lake near the KaMageba palace. The neighborhood and the location is not a place I can recommend
- Lwandle (8/5): - I didn't like when they had to close the water at night, the dogs were barking non stop, and we couldn't watch anything on the TV like a movie etc but everything else was good

- Jabu (2/5): - I didn't like anything First it was hard to reach them through call and Location is very hidden. Worst part is in the yard I was almost bite by dogs I was very traumatized about 10 minutes we stood still being barked and surrounded by dog (worst fear)..Then the house itself it was not clean at all they only cleaned it with us standing inside, bedroom sheet not ironed even worse there were no towels..Im never booking myself in there and absolutely would never recommend it to anyone..Very disappointed 😢 😞

- Mere (3/5): Poor - when you call to confirm booking make sure to ask if your room is ready I was told to look for alternative accommodation at past 8pm because my accommodation wasn't ready and had to stay 35 minutes away from booked resident it was just difficult and stressful to deal with
- Thandolwethu (1/5): Bad - They gave us back our money they said they dont take bookings now
- Sphesihle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mthobeli (1/5): Bad - Only spend one night, wifi not working and no staff to attend to me Nothing at all
- Nompilo (5/5): Passable - It's a private space, and quiet, water 💦 is always hot and good Car parking is too small for the guests,
- Nandile (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (1/5): A very bad Palace, I wouldn't even recommend it to my enemy - The stuff was unfriendly. We waited outside for while to be assisted, while they looking at us through the window. There are 2 dogs and they wanted to bite us. Everything was uncomfortable there. They made us wait outside in the rain and said there's someone in the room. After an hour and a half, they told us the person checked out and they didn't see him. We regret going there waste of time and money. Saturday morning we checked out to Tudor house Hotel. Wished we went there before Everything, the house looked like, it was ages being cleaned. The couches full of dirt, there was water in the house, seems like there's a leakage somewhere. And Saturday before we go the geyser was licking and the dogs wanting to bite us each time tgey see us
- Lindokuhle (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything about the place felt off 😔, it was not properly cleaned, inside and outside. Even dogs are not tied up.

- Durabae (5/5): Passable -
- Mohapi (1/5): Bad - Nothing there's no such place there I'm so disappointed because I was robbed.
- Teboho (1/5): It was shocking that they can even think of having guests in that place.. - I did not enter the guest house because they were busy cleaning it when we arrived
I did not like anything from what I saw which included the premises, security, parking, cleanliness. 1) No safety and security. 2) Too many contractors within the premises. 3) No parking. 4) The premises were full of dirt. 5) The place does not meet minimum standard of a guest house.
- Mfume (7/5): It was a good place to be with a potential of being the best when it is fully complete - It felt like being at home It is a bit far from everything else
- Pamellah (1/5): Bad - The pictures were good as the house, it has Netflix even though the place is under renovation but it's good looking inside The service was poor, there was no greetings or reception for booking confirmation. I had to phone and ask for a towel n tissue. We were just given keys by kids. And we had to ask them to tie their dog cz the kept barking and following us if we went outside
- Siphesihle (9/5): Superb - The lodge Am afraid of dogs
- Phumla (5/5): Passable - Not all cars can be parked there....this particularly problematic when u r driving a H1 or 22 seater.
- Nokulunga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samukelisiwe (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (1/5): Is nonsense, there is no way this place should be rated a 7.2, Booking.com, Biggest scam of my life - The place is an active construction site, the owner has very large dogs, there was no water

- Funeka (8/5): Good - 1. The structure is spacious.
2. It's a quiet place
3. It's cheap
4. Beds were comfortable 1. I understand that the place is still under construction, but the basics would be appreciated: there was no mop/towel and dust bin
2. There was a window which doesn't close properly
3. The place is not easy to get, atleast if there would be a direction board at the turn it would help.
