- Flavia (8/5): Very nice family-run hotel. - The family running the hotel was very warm, welcoming and flexible.
The food (dinner and breakfast) was simple but very good quality (cheese was exceptional :-)
The room was simple and very clean. Nothing really. It was all nice but I think it was rather expensive for a simple stay in a small country village
- Frau (10/5): Awesome! - Many thanks to the very nice team for all their hard work to make our stay great!
- Ramasamy (9/5): Superb -
- Yana (9/5): Superb -
- Kyle (8/5): Great for families - Great playground for the kids and good food at the restaurant. Shower head didn’t stay in place
- Ellenna (10/5): We truly loved our stay and would absolutely come back one day in the future. - Where do I begin? The room was spacious, clean, and felt incredibly homey. The view from the window was stunning, and we truly loved our 2-night stay. Parking is free and there was an extra fridge on the floor of our room where we could leave a few drinks. The women who worked here were amazing—so kind, helpful, and accommodating. It felt like a real community during meals, especially breakfast (which is included!). There were a lot of children playing and there was also a corner dedicated to children's toys! We also had dinner here, and they kindly made a small adjustment to one of the dishes for me. I’d highly recommend staying here, especially if you're planning to hike to Seealpsee like we did! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so comfortable. It’s hard to say there was anything we didn’t like, as everything was lovely! If we had to mention something, just as a small suggestion, it might be helpful to add a note about the check-in procedure on the booking. Since there isn’t a traditional reception or lobby, it was a bit unclear when we arrived at 9pm. That said, a very kind lady greeted us and showed us to our room, which we really appreciated!
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb - Staff were very friendly. Rooms very comfortable and the location is great, very close to the Hoher Kasten cable car.
- Hana (8/5): Very good -
- Charlene (9/5): Superb - The lighting in the bathroom is too dim.
- John (9/5): Superb - It was very cute and offered us a great place to stay for the hikes we wanted to do. It's a bummer the town doesn't really have a market or cafe but the resturant and little shop across the street worked out well.
- Jacob (10/5): Perfect - We had a wonderful stay! Would definitely recommend this place :-) Breakfast was ok, could have Been more selections.
- Mindy (9/5): Superb - We stayed at Rossli for 3 nights. Claudia, the owner of the hotel, was delightful. She was kind enough to check us into our room early. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day. There are not many restaurant choices in this particular area, so her hotel/restaurant seems to be a gathering spot every evening with guests and friends. The room was very comfortable, 4 twin beds that were very comfortable. A beautiful view over the hills. The hotel is a little ways away from the town of Appenzell but with the use of the Appenzell card which allows for free bus and many, many more treats is worthy. It's super close to all kinds of beautiful walking/hiking/cycling trails. Just the church bells ringing! I recommend you wear ear plugs.
- Julien (9/5): Superb -
- Albert (9/5): Superb -
- Gerry (7/5): Happy to come again - Super friendly. Very relaxed. Highly attentive and quick. It felt like being invited to a big family gathering. Something unique making it a memorable experience. Value for money overall really very good! Special dinner nights feel oddly overpriced. However there are plenty of super tasty, very adequately priced alternatives on the menu.

- Richard (9/5): Great to experience this small village in a typical Switzerland setting. - Very nice Swiss Gasthasu. Well maintained and clean. We had the large upstairs family room to sleep four. Cold at night, with large comforters. Views of the town and Swiss countryside are amazing. Cows and Cow Bell sounds are everywhere. Food in restaurant was very good. Carrying luggage up three flights of stairs. Towels were scratchy, but these were minor issues.
- Antonis (9/5): Superb -
- Amal (8/5): Very good -
- Marc (9/5): Superb - Friendliness of staff
- Yaqi (10/5): This is the fourth hotel we stayed in Switzerland this time. The landlord is very caring and warm, and the service is be - The landlord is very warm and considerate. Let us feel at home. The balcony has a nice view. Everything is fine. If the passengers need help, the landlord will be happy to do his best.
- Philip (8/5): Very good -
