Guest Reviews
- Birgit (10/5): - Der Meerblick, die Ausstattung der Wohnung, die ruhige Lage.
- Bernadette (10/5): - Loughview Lodge is a gem! Don't really want to write this as maybe booked up the next time I want to visit!🤣 Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and relaxing. The Lodge has everything you would want and more, didn't want to leave. So many places to visit nearby! The host Michelle is a lovely lady and her doggy is beautiful. The fact we had to leave!
- Glyn (10/5): A perfect little lodge in a great location. - Well appointed, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The hospitality to arrange the beds as requested was perfect! Nothing.
- Lora Beth (9/5): Excellent stay. Home away from home. - Instructions were clear
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect 2 night stay - Everything!
Decor & furnishings - this is a high end place!
Cleanliness
Facilities - all the little extras you don't need to take - toiletries, chargers for any device, hairdryer, iron, even razors, feminine products etc
Shower was powerful, choice between 2 heads.
Excellent quality toiletries
Lovely welcome basket with biscuits, tea, coffee machine, cereals, milk, butter. Even complimentary prosecco to celebrate friends wedding. The added touches.
Lovely and cozy, comfy beds.
Spacious.
Wow factor.
Value for money
Lovely correspondence, so helpful. Gave us late check out just because. Thanks so much! Seemed a bit 'in the sticks' finding it but we stuck to the clear instructions and found the place no problem. Once we knew where it was, perfect, wasn't an issue. But worth mentioning I guess. Literally nothing else!!
- JOSE RAMON (10/5): Perfect and incredible! - All was incredible! The house is very nice. It has all that you can need. It's very very clean and the decoration is very beautiful and with all the details. Kitchen very complete with all the accesories, and Michele left us a basket prepared for breakfast. The place is amazing with the sea and the lighthouse near. Very peaceful place. Perfect 100%!!! Nothing. All perfect
- William (10/5): - Beautiful setting Access road needs attention, although its a private road.
- Robert (10/5): Relaxing, luxurious stay at Loughview Lodge - An excellent welcome basket when we arrived. A home away from home with all the things we needed. A gem of a property with a great view of the sea. Internet intermittent so TV would have to buffer for main channels. However, Netflix seemed fine!
- Bronte (10/5): Perfect in every way, 100% would recommend and return - The house was perfect in every way. The facilities were absolutely brilliant and the lodge offered everything down the very last details. The location is private and very relaxing, we were lucky with the weather too so the children played in the garden and had an absolute ball. There was a welcome pack that included milk, butter, bread, biscuits. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need and the beds are very comfortable. The decor is stunning and the views are perfect. The living room has beautiful views and they had a great selection of family games that we loved. We had the best time and would definitely return.
- Alec (10/5): Michele the Owner was very friendly and provided clear instruction regarding the property - The House is absolutely lovely very clean and comfortable in a quiet location Nothing
- Clare (9/5): Superb - The lodge was spotlessly clean and well serviced. Warm and cosy when we arrived later than expected. Michele was an excellent host and left us a welcome breakfast pack for our early morning start. Would definitely stay again. Peaceful, with beautiful views.
- Holly (10/5): Relaxing, homely, lovely stay. - The property was beautifully decorated, had lovely views and everything you could need for a stay away from home. Every detail had been thought about and the host was attentive and helpful. -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely feel to the place. Nice and peaceful
- Ross (10/5): Loughview Lodge felt like a home from home. - The location was spot on for our trip and the cliff-side walk around Whitehead lighthouse was an unexpected treat.
The lodge was well stocked with all the essentials; we could definitely have brought a lot less stuff with us. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper was all on hand…and a very generous welcome basket with milk, bread, cereals, jam, biscuits and more.
Heating was set to full cosy on arrival. We dialled it back a bit to suit us during our stay, but it would certainly be cosy in the winter months with comfy sofas, blankets and throws all around.
Multiple lighting options in the living space made it feel homely and the night light on the z-bed was surprisingly useful as travelling with a young child.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Everything ....the Lodge was immaculate...my hostess was very attentive and informative. The welcome pack was, very welcome! The Smart TV was too smart. I found it difficult to operate initially. My hostess was poorly qualified to help. This tv was connected through the Internet and was quite prone to showing 'the circle of doom' which is extremely annoying when watching most programmes.
- Nicholas (10/5): Excellent - Quiet location, cleanness of the property, comfort, amenities, very relaxing atmosphere, Being a bit of a technophobic, not that’s it a big issue but I couldn’t figure out how to watch the normal tv channels, ie bbc itv etc, there’s Netflix and Samsung channels to compensate ,
- Colin (10/5): Loved it and hope to return in the near future - The lodge was spacious, airy and very well appointed, perfect for a family of 5. The outside space was good for the kids. It was spotlessly clean with everything you could need i.e. kitchen facilities, washer/dryer, clothes airer, cleaning supplies etc. The bathroom was great with a powerful shower. The location of the lodge was ideal for accessing the Causeway coast, Belfast and Larne. Nothing
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The property was absolutely stunning!
A pleasure to relax in, loved it ♥️
Michele, the hostess very attentive and kind.
Attention to detail superb 👌👌
- Andrew (9/5): Lovely quiet location with steps down to the lough where you can take a nice walk along the shore. - Breakfast is a welcome basket on your first day which has some provisions, they include milk, butter, jams, cereal and some bread or pancakes. Enough for a couple of days. Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional lodge to stay in - The lodge was in a nice, quiet secluded location with great views of the sea. The accommodation was exceptional, everything you needed and more, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Probably the best accommodation we have stayed in, and would highly recommend it to anyone who is staying in the area. Nothing, everything was perfect
- Kerusha (10/5): Exceptional - Definitely a gem amidst nature!
Our family holiday at Loughview Lodge was nothing short of excellent! Nestled in a serene landscape, the lodge offers breathing views that promise to leave you in awe. The cleanliness and attention to detail ensured a comfortable stay that lacked nothing!
The surrounding scenery, with its pristine view made us feel as if we had stepped into the epic world of the Game of Thrones. For the adventurous souls, horse riding and the Glencoe waterfall are available nearby, adding to the charm of this tranquil haven.
Above all, the hospitality received by Michele was remarkable, making us feel welcomed and cherished. If you’re seeking a peaceful escape with spectacular views and a touch of fantasy, Loughview Lodge is the place to be.
My kids loved the snack basket, too! Thanks, Michele! We will be back!!! Everything was perfect and amazing!

- Lynette (10/5): Beautiful holiday home - Beautiful house, very well equipt with everything you can think of, even down to an Alexa and chargers. The bed was super comfortable and we slept brilliantly for the whole of our stay. We chose to eat in every night (there's an M&S food, Sainsburys and Lidl in nearby Carrickfergus) as the house was so lovely! It's very close to the coastpath where you can walk to the lighthouse and nearby Whitehead. Loughview Lodge is perfectly placed for exploring Northern Island, it was just wonderful! Nothing!
- Eunice (9/5): Superb -
- Garvey (10/5): Exceptional - House was absolutely fabulous. Attention to detail and everything you needed. Bed was so comfortable, best nights sleep I've had in ages!
Living room so bright and spacious, lovely feel to the place. Very family friendly my boy wanted to stay forever.
Absolutely no complaints, fabulous stay would highly recommend
- Matthew (10/5): My favourite and I'm a hard marker - The house was absolutely spotless, private, all facilities are near new, great washing machine and dryer, welcome pack with cereal, milk, etc. I have never stayed at a self catering premises this good. Parking is also easy. Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): A spacious, well appointed, clean and tidy lodge. - The location, peacefulness, onsite parking and facilities were all excellent. 5 minutes walk to Belfast Lough and 20 minutes walk to Whitehead along the Blackhead Coastal Path.
Excellent communication from the host who was on hand should you need anything.
The restaurant at Whitehead Golf Club, 15 minutes walk, was very good too.
- Celine (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful space in an incredible location just minutes walk from the seafront and town. The hosts thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable!
- Quilty (10/5): Fantastic house, spotlessly clean - Great house with everything you could possibly need to hand. The host has thought of everything from spare toiletries, a very welcome "welcome pack", board games, Alexa, Netflix, WiFi and so much more.
Everything is in excellent condition with very comfortable beds. Access was very easy and communication very easy. Would highly recommend this property.
- Sinead (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful property. All the little extras made our stay special. Children loved the hot chocolates and it was wonderful having the coffee machine. Nothing it was all great
- Patrick (10/5): Excellent - beautiful property, walking distance to the coastal walks, just 30min from Belfast. - Everything was great, beautiful property with everything you need. I loved the coffee machine, kids loved the massive TV with Netflix, Disney, etc. And my wife loved the walks. The interior design is exceptional, made for a relaxing few days. Having to leave...
- Dearbhla (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Very nice area with beautiful surrounding walks along the coast. A lovely place to relax, very clean and great attention - A heavenly place of quietness, modernness design and charm. N/A
