• Matthew (10/5): - Definitely the best homestay I stayed at during my trip to Indonesia. Nia and Ian are incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. It feels more like visiting friends you instantly know you’ll have a great time with. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the city had much more to offer than I expected: nice restaurants and cafés, plus a lively beach with street food to enjoy while watching the sunset. It also seems to be possible to do little hikes around. Ende may not suit travelers looking only for Western-style luxury and infrastructure, but if you want authenticity, go for it! Honestly, if I came back, I think I would stay here instead of Moni, since Kelimutu is still easily reachable from Ende even if you would have to wake up a little bit earlier. The only downside is that I wish I had planned to stay longer to Lanina homestay <3
• LEANNE (8/5): Warm and friendly hosts, great location. - Great location with a short walk to the airport, various restaurants and a big supermarket. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Room was only just big enough to fit us and our luggage. Room was air conditioned. Breakfast was served hot and fresh which was lovely. Good value for the price we paid. Water pressure in the bathrooms is very poor - no hot water. One of the rainfall shower heads had 144 holes but only 27 of them had water coming out of it. Need new shower heads for a better result.

• Isabelle (10/5): Un des meilleurs Homestay ! - Choisi pour sa proximité avec l’aéroport (10 minutes à pied très simple) j’ai surtout apprécié le Homestay pour Lamina elle même. Elle vous reçoit avec simplicité et naturel et vous accueille comme des amis. Quelle belle rencontre! Elle est pas ailleurs une masseuse exceptionnelle ;) Ne manquez pas l’occasion de vous offrir ses services. Une nuit chez Lamina avant de quitter Ende est le meilleur choix à faire.
• Maïlie (9/5): Must go there! - We were really welcomed, Nina spent a lot of time with us to discuss and gave us a lot of advice about what to do and where to eat. 😁 Everything worked well and was clean ! We had a comfy room with AC. Breakfast was so nice. I paid an extra for a massage and it was perfect 😍 The only thing to notice is the cold shower but not to cold and ende is a warm place.

• Keenan (8/5): - Our host was amazing - super friendly, a good sense of humour and happy to give recommendations or let us chill at the home. She also dropped us off at the harbour early in the morning for our boat trip. The motorbike was in very good condition, bed and room were comfortable.

• Julia (10/5): Ідеально. Дешево, тихо, зручно, привітно. - Все чудово. Це прекрасне "гніздо" створила молода пара. Молоді, розумні, активні. Все дуже розумно. Затишно, чисто... Спати дуже тихо, бо гестхауз захищений від шуму іншими будинками поруч, хоча практично 50 метрів від головної дороги. Ліжка зручні. Але є всього 3 кімнати, тож якщо ще думаєте де спати в Енде, то може бути пізно..:). Це єдиний нормальний хоумстей в Енде. Також прямо в них можна взяти мотобайк в аренду. Нічого. Все було супер.

• Kadri-Liis (10/5): Best homestay experience in Flores - My favorite homestay at Flores! Felt like staying at friends home. I booked it because of the location, it's easy few minutes walk from the airport (very convenient for morning flight), but I wish I had stayed more days. If I could plan my trip again, I would book two nights here instead of booking accommodation at Moni (Nothing much to do there after morning hike, I was done by 9am and was just sitting around the whole afternoon the day before and also after hiking while waiting for transport back to Ende). It's easy to visit Kelimutu from Ende, also Ende has beaches, some great coffee places and many food options. I would recommend to visit Moni& Kelimutu in the morning and spend afternoon around Ende. (Honestly Ende is very underrated!). I stayed in double room with AC and slept really well. The bed was comfy and despite of being close to airport, there was only little street noise, no airplanes during the night. Also appreciated the abundance of power outlets in the room, easy to charge phone and any other appliances. Breakfast was delicious, toast-egg-fruits with large mug of local coffee, great start for the day.
• Joanna (8/5): Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, przyzwoity pokój z najlepszą właścicielką ever. - Najlepszą “rzeczą” jest właścicielka. Bardzo sympatyczna i pomocna w każdej sytuacji. Pomogła ułożyć mi plan wycieczek i wypożyczyć tanio skuter. Jest mozliwość wypozyczenia u niej skutera z opcją odbioru w Labuan Bajo. Drogi są bardzo bezpieczne z małą ilością pojazdòw. Z lotniska do pokoju doszłam na piechotę w 15 minut. Pokój ok i śniadanie też ok. Indonezyjski poziom czystości.

• Joos (10/5): Süßes Homestay mit familiärer Atmosphere in mitten von Ende. - Die Inhaberin ist die süßeste, netteste Gastgeberin, die wir in unserem Florestrip kennenlernen durften. Die Ausstattung ist Basic aber absolut ausreichend. Alles sehr sauber. Der Hinweg ist „schwer“ zu finden. Man muss die Augen aufhalten um das Schild in einer kleinen Gasse zu sehen.

À part la maison du président extradé, pas grand chose à voir et c’est extrêmement sale! Par contre c’est une bonne étape pour aller plus à l’est (villages traditionnels, kilimutu volcano…)

• Adrien (10/5): Wonderful stay - I'm so happy I booked this place. The owners are so friendly it's like staying at a friend's house. They have good knowledge of the area, can help finding transportation or rent motorcycle, as well as organize bag transfer to Labuan Bajo if you're crossing the island on a motorcycle and want to travel light. My room was nice, clean and quiet with AC. Good breakfast and many options for eating out at walking distance. Also super near the airport if you have an early morning flight.

• Amber (10/5): Super tof verblijf! - Nia, de gastvrouw, is onbeschrijfelijk vriendelijk. Geen enkel probleem blijft onopgelost met de hulp van Nia. We vonden Lanina omdat we een scooter nodig hadden en doordat Nia zo behulpzaam, vriendelijk en grappig was, dachten we ook meteen: Hier willen we ook een nachtje slapen. Het ontbijt was ook super goed! Lekkere banana pancakes, fruit, eieren en toast. Nia kan je ook overal naartoe brengen als het nodig is en ze bieden zelfs dagtripjes aan. Niks!

• Daisy Johana (10/5): Exceptional real homestay experience. - Super easy access from/to airport. It only offers a few accommodation rooms which makes it feel like a proper and real Homestay. Nia and her boyfriend welcomed us as we were family already. After our flight got cancelled and moved to the next day they were extremely helpful and kept the room for us for one more night and even took us to the airport the next day. Breakfast was perfect for an early morning start. You could feel the home vibes every time, even at night when they gather in the living room to play the guitar and sing. Bathroom facilities could be better adapted for the quantity of guests.

• Fleurine (8/5): Homestay agréable - C'est une maison personnelle qui a été reconvertie en homestay. Quand nous y étions nous n'avons pas eu d'électricité, mais c'était toute la ville était éteinte. Le petit déjeuner est à se faire soit meme avec les ingrédients fournis. L'accès au homestay pourrait être amélioré. Mais dans l'ensemble, le logement est simple et a correspondu à ce qu'on s'attendait.

• Ben (10/5): Highly recommend! - Highly recommend staying at Nia’s Homestay!! Nia was super welcoming and helpful! Gave us so many recommendations for exploring Mt. Kelimutu and local coffee plantations. We also had to get the bus back from Ende to Labuan Bajo and Nia offered to organise all our tickets - and gave us takeaway coffee in the morning. She also directed us to the best Martabak stand for dinner!! The Homestay itself has a homely feel, super clean and comfy. We also met other travellers there who were lovely.

• Jolien (10/5): Exceptional - This awesome homestay was exactly what we needed when me and my partner were struggling on our overland Flores Tour. Nia and her boyfriend are so kind friendly and helpful. They took care of me while I was sick and kept my boyfriend company while I was just sleeping. They helped us with our sincere struggle and send one of our scooters back with the post. I wish I could have stayed longer and spend more time with this amazing hosts. The room was also good. Matress was comfy and the Ac was working good. Also she made us the best pancakes I had so far.

Enjoyed their company so much I stayed an extra night. Walkable to restaurants and the fresh clean laundry (recommend). Breakfast was filling, room was large, clean and comfortable, wifi available and a nice lounge area to relax 🏠

Lanina welcomed us in with open arms, tea and chocolate cake, nothing was too much trouble, from motorbikes to transport to the airport… She’s absolutely fabulous!! Location is awesome for the airport too :) The shared bathroom isn’t ideal and it’s little scruffy, not unclean but not clean either…

• Annelies (9/5): Best owner and good aircon :) - Nia is the nicest owner we have met in 2 weeks in flores. Our flight from maumere was cancelled and we come to ende to try to find a new flight, and she went out of our way to help us ! Most owners in flores try to help you with travel-plans, but she travelled a lot herself and is very western-minded, so all her tips were super usefull (in contrast to some of the other “help” from other owners ;)) They also let me use their laptop to send some emails to the insurance company. Our room was very clean and cosy as well. The aircon is very good ( Ende is sooooo hot … ) They drove us to the airport for free when we left ! Bathroom is very basic. Western toilet is right next to the shower. Our bed only had a bed cover and a fleece blanket, no sheet. The house is a bit worn down, but since the room is so nice, we really didnt mind. Would stay here again !

It felt like visiting a friend of a friend. She offered a lot of recommendations and it was appreciated. We could use her fridge to store or chocolate and water. We liked to be able to share with her while staying her house. The place is simple, but we had everything we needed. We want to mention, the bathroom is shared and doesn’t have a sink like many Indonesian bathroom.

She helped me plan out alternative routes to leave as flights were possibly cancelled due to volcanic ash. She was more than happy to help and she also cooked me noodles! Her and her partner dropped me off at the airport the next morning, so kind and friendly. I would be more than happy to stay again in the future, I recommend her Homestay and the air con was a blessing. The door to the room was a little stiff so a bit noisy to open amd close other than that it was a comfortable stay.
