Keine Sitzgelegenheit, keine Ablagemöglichkeit, keine Kleiderbügel. Gott sei dank waren wir nur für eine Nacht dort. Das, bei der Angestellten bestellte Frühstück, wurde nicht geliefert. Wir haben dann am morgen um 7.15 Uhr storniert. Ob ich das Geld, das ich im voraus für das Frühstück bezahlt habe, zurückbekomme glaube ich nicht. Außerdem hätten wir das Frühstück auf dem Bett einnehmen müssen, da kein Tisch und Stühle vorhanden waren. Auch den Kaffee hätten wir uns selbst mit Kaffeepulver zubereiten müssen. Und dafür 150,00 Rand pro Person zu bezahlen. Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Wie die positiven Bewertungen zu stande gekommen sind, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Das Personal war extrem unfähig. The room was next to the staff room, where they keep supplies. You hardly get a hold of the guesthouse via WhatsApp; you have to call, which makes communication difficult.

- Mashile (8/5): - I had a lovely stay at this guest house. The room was very clean and smelled fresh and inviting. There is an outstanding garden with tables and chairs where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet conveniently close to shops. Overall, it was a truly pleasant and relaxing experience, and I would definitely recommend it. One small suggestion for improvement is that there was no microwave in the outside rooms. Guests need to go to the main house to warm up food, and unfortunately, during the weekend I stayed it was raining, so returning to the room meant getting wet. It would be very convenient if microwaves could be added to the outside rooms in the future.

The website advertised the place for R496 and that is the room we booked and confirmed but the host made us pay R700 citing that the standard rooms were not available and that there is always a mismatch between what we see on booking.com vs reality. That was a kicker because that should be resolved between the host and booking.com being partners as opposed to making the client pay more than they reserved and confirmed on the app.

- Fritz (1/5): 🚨 Bait-and-Switch, Privacy Concerns & Felt Unsafe. Rating ⭐️ 1/5 - As a traveler who has visited 150 destinations over 10 years, I have never once felt my privacy so compromised in any accommodation. The presence of 24/7 security outside gave the illusion of safety, but inside my room, I discovered shocking privacy flaws. I booked based on the photos, but upon arrival, I was given a different, darker room with an unattractive bathroom. When I complained, the host tried to upsell me a corner room for extra money. After I refused, he 'generously' moved me to another room which I later realized had serious safety issues. Most alarmingly, the bathroom mirror was mounted completely flush against the wall (a known sign of a two-way mirror) and backed onto the laundry room. It is highly suspicious that the host’s own room is located exactly on the other side of this mirror, raising serious concerns about privacy and intended misuse. The room was also uncomfortably hot all night with the AC off, adding to the unsettling environment. When I raised my concerns, the host was dismissive and provided no proof of the mirror's safety. He then stopped responding completely. As a solo female traveler, I felt targeted and deeply unsafe. This appears to be a pattern of bait-and-switch tactics leading to placing guests, particularly women or even couples, in a room that may facilitate voyeurism. I strongly advise against staying here—especially for women traveling alone.
- De Wet (8/5): Very lovely and comfortable. - The staff was so friendly. It was so easy to do the booking as well. Definitely think it is for people that is just staying a day or two. Will use again when I travel for work. As I was visiting for a weekend, I went out until late at night. I did not receive my own remote and felt bad that I had to wake everybody up just to be able to get in.

- Charlene (10/5): Perfect for quick JHB visit - Our host, Klaus, was an absolute delight. We had lekker conversations with him, and he was very accomodating to the times we came in at night. At first on arrival our room was not yet ready, however within 2 mins, we already received our key to another room. Our room was perfect for what we needed, it was simplistic and comfortable. Location was perfect, with easy access to main roads. Signage is also good, you cant miss it! N/A

And the lady who welcomed us and showed us the room ,not friendly at all , she just put the key in the door and walked off. Didn't tell us anything , that there's no heating in the room. And wifi? Nope she didn't even tell us about that. Anyhow ended up checking out early and look for another place to stay. Unfortunately disappointed because first time we stayed there ,the experience was awesome

It was during winter and there was no heater in our room, however the stuff (or management) gave us an extra blanket. 😊 The lady in the reception seemed to be very confused about everything. The staff are very warm and welcoming. - The room was alright; the images on Booking.com were different from the actual room, which was at a higher price. Noise travels from the neighbouring room and the room was close to staff access which meant a lot of foot traffic noise in front of the room.

I was very happy and appreciative that they were able to do that for me. I loved the new room! Not critical but breakfast isn't included in the room rate. It is available to be delivered for a fee. It was good food. Also not critical but the staff didn't clean the room or remake the bed at all during my stay.
