• Antony (10/5): Beautiful and big - Beautiful old house with lots of lovely rooms.I was worried beforehand that things like hot water for showers would be sparse but there was plenty of hot water even with 8 of us staying. Lovely location too with enough restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook. Kitchen was a bit small but functional. Needs a kettle and coffee maker.

The villa appears much better in the photos than in reality – it was darker, colder, and felt far less inviting than expected. Towels provided to us were damp and didn’t dry due to the cool indoor conditions. I simply asked to replace them with dry ones, as we couldn’t reuse them. No one informed me that this would come with an additional charge, yet 40 EUR was taken from my credit card without prior notice. When I raised the issue, I was met with cold, defensive replies and even accused of “inappropriate towel handling” – because we had placed them on the floor, which is a standard way to signal used towels in hotels worldwide. Instead of showing any understanding or flexibility, the host’s team insisted on justifying the charge, and I was left feeling more like a problematic guest than someone welcomed. Sadly, I cannot recommend this property – not because of the villa itself, but because of the poor communication and lack of basic hospitality.
