Guest Reviews
- Peter (10/5): - Well appointed, clean and comfortable. I could stay longer
- Paulette (10/5): - Beautiful location. Sensational little cottage, immaculate inside. The garden was amazing ,so pretty.Would definitely stay again. Nothing
- ELIZABETH (10/5): Would recommend to anyone. - Have stayed here a few times. Never disappointed always great value for money. N/A
- Beverley (10/5): Sweet cottage, perfect for a couple - Located on the edge of a small quiet village, it’s the perfect size for a couple and has the sweetest garden! The owner obviously takes great care of the place and her guests - left lots of little things to enjoy such as a book swap, and some local artwork you can buy using an honesty box which were very cute. Even had the food essentials such as milk in fridge which came in handy in the morning. I’ve seen in previous reviews that the driveway was tight but it was actually fine! We reversed up halfway and had no issues. Very close to areas like Newton Abbott, Kingskerwell and Torquay which was perfect for us!
- Nigel (9/5): A very pleasant experience - The property was very well presented, with a large well equipped kitchen. The whole accommodation was very nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch, as was the milk in the fridge on arrival. A really pleasant property throughout. The only problem we had was getting the hot water to work in the kitchen and bathroom taps, though we thought we followed the instructions (the hot water in the shower worked absolutely fine).
- Catherine (8/5): Practical, comfortable, clean and lovely homely touches - Gorgeous garden, great, village location , immaculately clean and well equipped property Bed a bit on the small size for us but it was still lovely and comfy
- Philip (9/5): A comfortable stay in a lovely property-cleanliness was 100% throughour The hostess very friendly.We -
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The cottage was spotless, comfortable, well priced, and in an excellent location As suggested to the owners, a proper bedside table, large enough for personal items and high enough for a proper reading light, would be fabulous. The one that comes with the cottage is a very small square built into the wall, only big enough for a single lamp and too low to provide a decent reading light.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Excellent accommodation - It was modern and well equipped with everything you need. Great communication from hostess, personal touches excellent. Would definitely recommend. Easy access to attractive areas. Lovely art work, a pleasure to have as a souvenir.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Good having the outside garden space, even got a bit of a tan. Janet was always communicating & was always available if we needed her to pop over. Great host N/A everything was great
- Glenys (10/5): Great place for just relaxing. - The property was all new, scrupulously clean, contained everything you could think of except a wooden spoon, but that is me.. lol. Owner open to questions even though I did think silly but just wanted to check. Detailed directions was very helpful and did not overshoot the place. I like gardens and enjoyed the birds visiting and walking round looking at the crafts the owner has placed around, looks like a work in progress, so when I visit again love to see a change. Steep drive, not a problem for me but maybe for someone with mobility problems, although there is a rail.
- Hope (10/5): I would definitely stay at Sundial Cottage again - the property was exactly what we were after! - Our stay at Sundial Cottage was great - the property was lovely and had everything we could’ve hoped for. Debbie was a lovely host. I loved the little touches and the art work around the house and in the garden. We would definitely stay there again!
- Grayson (10/5): Great location, relaxing, and perfect for our visit - Property is lovely and spacious, very clean and relaxing
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing house with all the amenities you could possibly need & more. Very clean & well decorated, with some lovely touches. Lovely garden with a balcony to sit on or you can just gaze through the lounge patio doors & look at the view. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you want some peace & quiet. Host was very helpful & replied really quickly to any questions we had. Definitely 5 stars ⭐️
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (8/5): Our stay was enjoyable - The property was spotless and everything was accessable The hot water from the taps was very poor. Not ideal when shaving.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (10/5): 100% happy from booking, to checking in , we loved everything about sundial cottage - Was just perfect , modern , clean , comfortable , had all
That you needed and more , loved watching the birds in the garden, and the little personal touches by the owner , including milk & biscuits , a little welcome note with flowers , and slippers ! I don’t want to give anything to dislike but it’s worth mentioning it’s a very steep narrow drive to park
- Ward (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable cottage in a lovely village well worth a visit.
Accommodation beautifully kept and nice peaceful garden to relax in
- Carroll (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful, Perfect find - Very well equipped such a beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting If I had to not like something the only criticism would be the air fresheners and strong scents but that’s because I don’t like air fresheners:)
- Anna (8/5): Very good - Really well equipped. Felt v new. No breakfast but milk supplied.
Possibly more shelving or storage in bathroom. Felt very empty space.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional - It's really nice and clean, and there is plenty of stuff to use in the property that you night need . Really lovely accommodating host would recommend
- Wendy (10/5): A lovely quiet cottage not on busy main roads. It was very relaxing to stay here. - It was central to all South Devon holiday resorts. The property was very clean and it was stocked with what you needed for your stay. The access road is quite narrow. It wasn’t a problem for us but thought you should know.
- Martin (10/5): Excellent - Everything you need. Very clean. Excellent
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Very smart and comfortable, well equipped and in a lovely location. - Location was excellent - very quiet village and pleasant views. The cottage is very smart and with plenty of room for two and a well-equipped kitchen. The owner kindly rang us at home about some spare specs we'd left behind and will be posting them on to us. The bathroom tap didn't produce any hot water, which is perhaps down to a problem with the inline heater. Easily fixed by 'transferring' hot water from the adjacent shower!
