- Samwel (7/5): With working wifi+water it’s a 10 - Clean, great location and great staff they help with tours, bike rentals and transfers. but no working wifi AT ALL data doesn’t work in the rooms and showers drip water there’s no water pressure.
- Nina (8/5): -
- Selim (10/5): 10/10 - best hostel in Siargao! the staff is the best!!
- Melodie (8/5): Surf & Stay - Casavia is lovely and well located, close to Cloud 9 area, away from the hustle and bustle of General Luna. The hostel is confortable and suitable for longer stay. Room was nice. Relaxing vibe. The shower pressure was the only down side for me. Would recommend if you’re visiting Siargao!
- Tanja (10/5): -
- Evelyn Abigail (6/5): - Staff was nice and location great Towels were old and broken even if they were clean, they didn’t look good
- James (10/5): - Staff were all lovely, Carlos can answer any and all questions for you and set you up with whatever you need. Accommodation is super clean and I love the shelves in the bed, I tried to extend but was already booked out unfortunately.
- Beth (10/5): Excellent, would defo stay again. - the staff wren great, Carlos is a legend. The facilities and room were comfy and practical. Lovely communal spaces with good wifi connection. Easy access to main road. I found the room quite hot especially on top bunk.
- Yi Jen (9/5): - wifi

- Michelle (4/5): It‘s good for pretty young people (<25) - Friendly staff, close to cloud 9 and other surfspots The bathroom was not clean enough
It was loud in the shared room but this is a problem of the guests not from Casavia
- MARIANNE (10/5): Waaas good!!! - It was a really good stay! We’re well informed about what’s happening evey night! They have a whatsapp group too! Really clean too!! Though they have construction going around the property, doesn’t really make a loud noise til mid day (if you prefer sleep all throughout) everyone was friendly!!! If you want a quiet spot near cloud9 and the tourism road defo would recommend this place! Nothing!!! Just the construction nearby but they dont do any heavy machinery up until midday i would say which is pretty understandable, fair and nice of them
- Daisy (8/5): Cool place! - Carlos at the front was so lovely and helpful! Hostel private room was nice and people staying there were friendly. Very cool location near cloud 9 surf break and the motorbike hire there was a good price and new bikes. Bring earplugs to sleep in as it’s noisy at night and dogs barking loudly next door.
- Cathelijne (7/5): Best hostel of all that I stayed in, would book again. - I liked the location of the hostel and the staff was kind. Also the rooms are great, really nice beds and there are a lot of bathrooms which is really nice. The showers and toilets are together but there is no wall, so the toilets were wet all the time of people taking showers. Also there was almost never toiletpaper. It would also be nice if they would hang up more vans (or vans that actually work), in the chill areas. Bc now people went to lay in their room in the ac.
- Eric (9/5): Top - Prive kamer was top Werd weinig geregeld Activiteiten en dergelijke
- Philipp (10/5): -
- John (8/5): - I like the facilities - I feel like they created a space where people can gather and talk. They really need to hire staff who communicate better and respect boundaries. I had a friend who stayed here for two months and was treated poorly by the staff on her last day. The same thing happened to me.
- Abigail (7/5): Comfortable, but wouldn’t return - The room was clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Both the air con and the wifi was good.
Close to the beaches at Cloud 9 and some nice restaurants for brunch or dinner. The staff on reception was quite rude and dismissive when you asked her questions or for advice.
There’s also quite a lot of building work going on around the hostel which you will be able to hear in your rooms. Similarly to this, and I don’t know if this was worse as my room was right behind reception, but the walls are pretty thin, so you can hear the courtyard/reception/other rooms.
Not that close to the centre of general luna so would need a bike/to take tricycles
- Janella Louris (10/5): The comfort, location, and esp the kindness of the staff made it memorable! I'd be back for sure! 💛 - I stayed in both the bunk bed and a private room, and both were genuinely comforting. The vibe of the hostel is relaxed and cozy, but what really made my stay special was the staff, especially Carlos and Jake! They truly took care of me during my time there. They were so welcoming, always checking in, making sure I had everything I needed, and even helping me get to where I needed to go. It’s that kind of thoughtful, personal attention that makes you feel right at home. The location is also a big plus: just a 5-minute walk to Cloud 9, and far enough from the busy part of General Luna to enjoy some peace and quiet. It hits that sweet spot - close to the action, but not in the middle of the noise. Would have preferred a room farther from the stairs and common area, since it can get a bit noisy when people gather there. The private room was lovely (spacious enough for a solo traveler) but I do hope there will be an option to adjust the lighting cos it was a bit too dim for my taste.

- Kirsten (10/5): Top accomodatie! - Vriendelijk personeel, daarbij is Carlos echt geweldig!!
- Paula (9/5): -
- Esmee (5/5): - The common area’s The shower’s and toilet not clean. Stains on the towels
- Mori (9/5): -
- Orsolya (10/5): - The rooms are extremely cold
- Eugenia (8/5): - Nice comfy bedroom, very aestheticaly pleasing and nice common area The bathrooms flooded a bit at night and smelt pretty bad. Also the staff weren’t very nice or polite
- Amber (5/5): Receptionist most unfriendly person ever met - The guests at the hostel are nice and the rooms are nice and quiet and the beds are comfy. Its chill and nice communal areas this is why I stayed here. Patricia is the worst most rude receptionist i have ever met. Most guests have said the same that she is rude and always so moody.
Unless you are a guy she thinks is hot then she will not be nice to you.
Considering she is the first person you meet when coming in the hostel you would think she could pretend to smile and be nice and welcoming. She will also argue with you when she short changes you saying you owe her money and then huffs and puffs that she has to give you your own money.
The bathrooms could be cleaner as they are mouldy and smell and alot of times there is no water which means no shower. And when you do get to have a shower theres never been hot water. The doors also bang loud so if you sleep in the bedroom next door, this will wake you up. I extended my stay a few times and ask carlos to swap to a lower bunk but was told im not allowed even though there was lots of free beds. And they question you when you want your bedding or towel changed after a week asking when you last had it done.
There was a whole family stay one week, so
Was hard to use kitchen and small kids running round which you don’t expect in a hostel, and then shouting 7am across the hostel to each other waking us up.
- Maja (9/5): - Loved the vibe of the hostel, very chill and relaxed!
The interior was cute and liked the fact that it was outside. Only stayed here for one night but would definitely visit again! Maybe cold showers? I liked that though since it was super hot outside!

- Adele (10/5): - I had a wonderful time in Casavia, stayed there for 6nights and didn't wanna leave. It's super cozy, clean, you can easily have your privacy but also stay sociable if you want to. Carlos - the receptionist was an amazing person to hang out with, super helpful, positive and cheerful, he showed me some beautiful local places and was a wonderful companion during this trip. Casavia felt like home and if i come back to Siargao one day, definetely stay in Casavia again. Salamat!
- Eugenio (10/5): -
- Cassandre (9/5): Great - The bathrooms downstairs are incredible! For a hostel, having outdoors showers spacious, with trees?? So cool. Beds were comfy and people friendly. I encountered an issue with surf instructors outside the hostel (so completely not Casavia's fault) and yet they helped me out right away. I didn't get to experience it, but there are family dinners organized every friday, and sometimes bonfires on the beach in front. The hostel is near Cloud 9, beachfront and has a really nice common area, where I did meet other travellers from the other dorm by playing cards and guitar (there are even yoga mats available!). Comfy beds with several international and USB outlets + small storage area. There's a place at the back of the dorm to leave towels and surf stuffs dry. It's a shame that there is a construction of a new building hiding the sea view. , it must have been so nice before from the common area.
Storage underneath the beds were a bit small, if you have a big suitcase.
There are no sinks inside the private bathroom, only outside in front of the garden, so you have to use them in front of everyone/not super private.
- iris Selene (10/5): - Carlos was very friendly he helped me to book the tours arranged a motorbike and dropped off to airport. Its a bit far from all the shops but if you get a motorcycle its just 8 minutes drive
- Steve (8/5): Close to the beach - Close to the beach A new hotel is being built beside Casavia so noisy.
- Trina (9/5): Comfortable and homey. - Love the bed and the pillows! It was comfy and gave enough privacy in a dorm. Loved also the electrical outlets provided per bunk bed, it was more than enough to charge my gadgets. Casavia is a cozy place to stay. Couldn't ask for more from the staff, they were accommodating to our needs.
- Rüdiger (10/5): Perfect for solo travellers - Nice location, clean, comfy, cool people, nice chill area, very social hostel, many activity offers
- Rosemarie (10/5): Clean, calming, homely - The place was very clean! Just as we entered the room, we felt the need to stay at the place for a long time because of how cozy it felt. Like the longer we stayed, the more we felt it healed our bodies off of what made us tired from work. I loved the place! Wish we initially chose this one to be our long-term stay instead of the place we stayed at the previous week. Well, we would definitely bookmark this one and come back.
- Ralph (8/5): Very good - The bed was really nice. It was a hostel, but you did have the feeling you had a private room. The receptionist that welcomed me was really rude and unprofessional.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juliezah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maddi (10/5): lovely hostel - clean and beautiful hostel, loved staying here, and good location
- Chethan (4/5): Disappointing - It's a hostel with private room. It's near construction site. It's definitely not worth 100 SGD per night
- Jimmy (10/5): I’d highly recommend it as a must stay at accomodation, I’ll definitely be booking there for my whole trip next time I v - It an awesome place with all the facilities you need!
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eva (10/5): perfect - Super clean, relaxed vibe, sociable, perfect place to stay in siargao everything
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - A great hostel with good vibes; great activities; in a cool area!

- Eva (9/5): Superb -
- Francisco (9/5): Superb - Top atmosphere, family dinners, rooms, bar/restaurant, kitchen, location.
- Melchor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zebra (10/5): If heaven were a hostel - Where do I start? It’s hard to find words for place as lovely as Casavia. The people are the best around - Carlos, Patricia, Jake and the rest of the gang are absolutely impeccable. They make you feel like family, cannot do enough and are just generally awesome human beings. Jake is also an awesome musician, and chef. Carlos is the king of Casavia - ensuring smooth stay for everyone and has an unbreakable bond with the dogs, and just generally makes you feel safe and looked after. Super clean, and the cleaners (whose names I’ve forgotten - sorry!) are super lovely and working super hard to keep the place spotless. Beds are the best I’ve ever had in the whole of my time in Asia. Kitchen facilities awesome. Views of the sea. Great location. Pretty much a private beach nearby? Showers in the jungle? What more could you ask for.
Obsessed with the shelves you get inside your pod.
This was a place you could fully unpack and make a “home”; which is why I stayed for 3 weeks - and why you should too.
- Josef (9/5): Superb - Nice staff, nice room, nice outdoor showers and close to the beach. The area to chill is really nice as well! Perfect place to spend lots of time in Siargao
- Kent (10/5): Honestly the best back packers I have ever stayed in. - Staff were fantastic. Knowledgeable and polite at all times.
Special mention for Jake and Patricia who really went out of their way to help out group.
- Jose (5/5): Passable -
- Caroline (10/5): 10/10 - Carlos was amazing! kindest and most helpful staff I've met anywhere. constantly going the extra mile. for instance helped one of the guest to learn how to ride a motorbike since she was a bigger and a bit shared.
Super nice place, I needed to do a lot of work and there is plenty of space to work in this super work/chill beautiful.
beds are large and you get TWO (!) super comfortable pillows. Never experienced that at any hostel.
- Marieke (10/5): Home away from home - The people absolutely make the place. Everyone working here is exceptionally friendly and professional. They go beyond their job description to address all the different issues guests may have. Special shoutout to Carlos who is genuinely going above and beyond, has the best eating recommendations and handles everything with a maturity that is rare for his young age
- Joana (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing hostel! it’s a social hostel but there are also a few digital nomads staying there, so it’s a good mix. Loved my stay there and will definitely come back!
- Oren (9/5): Superb -
- Leblanc (10/5): Exceptional - Super host Carlos and great facilities !
- Rona (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Naptha (8/5): Very good - The bathroom!!!! So Bali-like! And the work spaces. Brown outs and no generator to back up, especially when you are in the middle of an online meeting and electricity got cut off :(
- Erwin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chichayworld (9/5): Superb -
- Donel (9/5): Best dorms in Siargao, Wish I had warm water - The facility was epic, the lounge was very nice and cozy and the place itself build very nicely Didn’t had warm water in the shower
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Binnur (1/5): Poorly managed and don’t care about guests - Outside of the good people I met when staying here I can’t say much positive things about the property. It had been well decorated but unfortunately atlet very poorly managed The property wasn’t very clean, on many occasions guests were reminded to take their shoes off when entering the shared areas. However if you did this it was extremely dirty. This is because dogs would be roaming in all areas and come in with muddy paws and this wouldn’t be cleaned. Didn’t actually see them mop these floors once. They also had a kitchen area but they’re not managing infestations and mice can be seen roaming around and can access the shelves where food is kept. One guest had to throw away her loaf as a nice had chewed through it. The management all round is very poor and when you report a problem they don’t resolve it. I handed in my laundry and my black top was handed back to me with a bleach stain. This wasn’t there before and they had clearly made a mistake. Instead of resolving it I was accused of handing in the laundry with the stain already there and they refused to put things right. After my issue, a couple of other people started having issues with their laundry and they stopped accepting in house laundry although continued to deny it was their wrongdoing. On most occasions, the toilet rolls weren’t replaced so there would be no toilet roll in toilets. They would also be very dirty. There were also times where rubbish remained on the side of the sinks for days before anyone got rid of it. Awful management who only cares about taking your money
- Ashley (7/5): Good -
- Katharina (7/5): Good - We stayed in a private room in Casavia. The room was very spacious with a good working aircon. Bed was also very comfortable. Vibe in the hostel was nice, we liked the common rooms to relax. The kitchen was messy and not very clean. No space left to store our groceries. Our bathroom in our room was also not very clean, tiles were yellowed. Currently, there is a large construction site right next door so it is quite noisy during the day. For the private room, price-performance ratio was not OK, but I think for dorm guests its a nice place to stay.
- Urrego (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel has it's own great little vibe. Open outdoor setting with a beautiful and comfy lounge upstairs. Short distance from the beach. Reception was the best at resolving and answer any questions. what a great team. Also had an organized family meal on Friday to get to meet everyone and sing. Loved my stay here. Construction going on during stay made it a bit loud in the mornings.
- Victoria (9/5): Superb - The staff was so friendly! There wasn’t any social events the whole time I was there :/
- Flavie (6/5): Beautiful but poorly managed and understaffed - The property is recent and gorgeous. The designs are nice, the sleeping pods are comfortable and very practical. The social area is also chill and nice to hang out. Nice social vibe with some really cool people The management and maintenance of the hostel is really not good, and they seem to be understaffed. They claim to have multiple activities and dinners a week but I stayed there 8 nights and there were zero.l (it was even the only hostel that didn’t organize a Christmas activity). The hostel was very dirty, there was no toilet paper in all 8 bathrooms some nights. They ask to leave your shoes outside the rooms, but one of the dogs destroyed my new Salomon shoes and they don’t want to take responsibility. The quiet hours were not respected and people were extremely loud until 3am most nights. The receptionist never really had an answer, told us to be ready an hour too early for the day tour, the tuk tuk he booked to go to the ferry came 30min late, etc. Overall, a beautiful hostel that has lots of potential but is poorly managed. Everyone who stayed there at the same time as me was greatly disappointed and surprised by all the amazing reviews.
- Hugo (8/5): Very good -
- Doregios (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tahira_m (8/5): Very good - Dorm rooms were a good size. There were shelves inside each capsule/bunk, including a lockable cabinet to store valuables.
The entire hostel is very designed and feels quite luxurious. All common areas are cleaned regularly.
Carlos the receptionist- very helpful at all times. I stayed three nights including a Friday and there was no hostel event organised by the staff which was disappointing because I had read other reviews praising the staff on their social events.
The only social areas are outside the rooms so the hostel has a quiet policy after 10pm. Socialising in those areas after this time is discouraged.
There were a lot of mosquitos in the upstairs lounge area.
Showers did not have hot water.
Bed linen and towels are not changed regularly.
The grass in the court yard is patchy and looks pretty bad.
The path leading up to the hostel from the main road is concrete so when it rains it is really muddy and difficult to walk on.
I had read other reviews that mentioned there was a dog in the property but I wasn't expecting an 8-month puppy that goes around chewing guests' trainers/shoes as well as 4 permanent stray dogs.
Lighting in the bed area is way too bright like a hospital light!
- Cameron (9/5): Superb - Good atmosphere for a hostel reception was under staffed
- Jonas (10/5): Exceptional -
