Guest Reviews

- Debbie (9/5): Loved the cottage, location and Whitstable - Very comfortable, great location, liked the decor Only snag was difficulty in parking
- Janet (8/5): Short break in Whitstable - The location was excellent, short walk to High Street and Harbour area, also not far from station. The stairs in cottage are quite steep so no good for people with mobility issues.
- Jono (8/5): -
- John (8/5): - Booked for my brother and his family, they found the downstairs bathroom really useful. The location near shops and the beach was lovely.
- Rachel (9/5): Long weekend away - Fab long weekend at Painter cottage. It's literally a 3 min walk to the main street and beach. Loads of bars, shops and places to eat. Parking isn't great but we found a side street and just left the car there for the weekend. Got the train into Canterbury (change at Faversham) which I would recommend. House has everything you need.
- Michael (10/5): Painters Cottage, Whitstable - Lovely location - super convenient for the coast and market and shops. Well appointed rooms with everything that we needed provided. Beds comfortable. Really enjoyed having a bath, and our little dog loved her stay too.
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Sian (9/5): A very lovely place to stay. Attractive and cosy. - The house was lovely and very well equipped. The location was excellent. The beds could have been more comfortable.
- June (8/5): Very pleasant stay. - Breakfast N/A. The location for buses, shops, sea was excellent, especially as we did not come by car. The upstairs bathroom shower could be improved. The water went everywhere! The screen was inadequate and if the shower plus screen was changed it would be perfect.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Location Parking was very difficult
- Laura (8/5): Very good - The location was really great as short walk to the high street and the beach.
Cute and comfortable place, with lovely artwork and nice garden area. Everything you could need in the kitchen to get you started. Parking wasn't the easiest but we managed to get a space down the road and this was clear on the listing in any case.
The high chair was all confirmed in advance but wasn't there upon arrival. The host was able to deliver it extremely quickly however. Cot had a thin mattress so something to be mindful of.
- Michael (9/5): Excellent few days and would definitely stay there again. - Fantastic location, property was clean and had everything you needed. The beds were very soft.
- Nicola (9/5): Good, would consider staying again in the summer when we are out more. - Door lock is a little stiff though sofas and armchair round TV could be a little more comfortable. It rained a lot due to winter, so were in the property more than would be in the summer.
- Nicholas (9/5): Lovely Cottage that I would book again - A Lovely cottage well maintained in a good location, very clean and looked after by the hosts Parking is a bit of an issue and lacking a few kitchen utensils when cooking Christmas dinner but both very small issues that did not affect my stay
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Lovely cottage in a great location to explore and enjoy Whitstable. - Lovely cottage in a great location. We had a wonderful time. More cutlery and crockery so we could do a big dishwash after a couple of days rather than washing by hand because there wasn't enough.
A couple of the curtains need hanging fixing.
Cleaner at 10am sharp on the last day. It would have been nice to have had a little cushion extra time. She did give us a little longer, and grateful for that, as we were running a little late, with dogs, rain and parking to navigate.
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - The house of impeccably clean. It had all the amenities anyone would need, iron, hoover, cups plates cutlery, literally home from home, with a gorgeous garden to top! walking to the beach and town centre is a mere 5 min walk! there was nothing ! we were 100% happy! thank you
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, clean & tidy. No washing line
No cupboard space in small bedroom, i understand why but some hooks on the wall wouldnt go a miss
- Tina (10/5): Fabulous 5 day stay in a home away from home. - The cottage is cosy, welcoming and clean throughout. It is well positioned a short walk away from the attractions that Whitstable has to offer. Highly recommended. Nothing
- Wendy (9/5): Great place to stay. - Downstairs bathroom for my mother in law who has mobility issues. Comfortable seating - most definitely home from home. Good location too! Having to ask to have access to turn the heating on as the weather went cold.
- Tricia (3/5): Dissatisfied I wouldn’t book again - It was clean and had everything we needed. The garden was a disappointment as the grass was really long and was generally unkempt. When I booked it, it was advertised as having free parking but there was actually no parking. The advert was very misleading. In the end we had to pay for a parking space in someone’s drive which was a 10 min walk. Also felt badgered by the owner who kept messaging and emailed saying I hadn’t paid despite sending proof.
- Natalie (8/5): lovely cottage home from home. only drawback was the stairs. - location is amazing. the stairs are steep and narrow
- Анна (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is beautiful, very clean, design is very cozy and stylish. We had everything we need during our stay. Good location to the Main Street and the sea.
- Alison (9/5): Lovely Painter Cottage - We had a lovely stay at Painter Cottage. It was spotlessly clean, and very nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable, and the location was excellent. Highly recommend! Parking could be tricky, but that's just the way it is. We found somewhere on the road nearby, but there were several carparks in the town.
- Matthew (10/5): Lovely house in a great location - Lovely house, spacious and very well equipped. Ideally located for the beach and Whitstable High Street
- Harry (10/5): Very comfortable and pleasant stay in a well presented cottage. - Great location for access to town Centre. On street parking is a nightmare, although by sheer chance I did get lucky on this occasion.
- Melanie (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): I liked it enough I would stay again - nice easy comfortable and clean nothing
