• alice (8/5): You get what you pay for - Very convenient for where I was going. Kind and helpful elderly couple. Great neighbours (Mr Dlamini) who helped me out as I was stuck outside since there’s no signage, it’s just residential area. He rang around for me to find out if I was at the right place. It’s in the south of Johannesburg ( more back rooms or granny flat/cottage ) where electricity situation can be dicey so I had no hot water for a much needed shower on arrival, that was a bummer, shower pressure could be better too.

• Fredolene (6/5): NOT GOING THERE AGAIN - The elderly couple is really friendly and helpful, but you struggle to get something when they are indoors. I'm not sure if they can't hear or their bedroom is far from the door. I didn't sleep much the first night, as I wanted to do some work on my laptop, and then the electricity went at about 02h45 without warning and no communication . It was quite a chilly weekend, so I wasn't able to fall asleep again. I called the property contact number about 4 hours later (after not sleeping at all) to find out about the electricity, and the lady didn't answer. I texted and only received a response four hours later! And very casually so. Only after I took her to task she apologized, saying she was sleeping and only checked her texts then (and here a paying guest had very little sleep). The elderly couple was very apologetic, and even though I had requested a refund for the next night, I decided to stay. The old man even offered something for me to sleep better the next night. The problem came on Sunday morning, and I wasn't able to get to my car because the garage door leading to my car was locked. I screamed and screamed to get the people’s attention in the house, but to no avail. It's only when I walked around the house and triggered the alarm that someone finally came to open. It was definitely not one of my best experiences
• Nhlanhla (6/5): Could have been better had the shower been working properly, the place was very clean and neat. - We left without showering because the shower was not working properly, water just dripping a little bit, the little water that dripped out was cold. Mobility in and out of the property could be better, had to call the host to open the gates when I had a family emergency in middle of the night. I did give feedback to the Host before I left and they said the issue will be addressed. A shower is very important, leaving without bathing or showering was very disappointing.

• Thembi (8/5): Very good - The host was very welcoming and warm. We arrived just after load shedding and she was able to explain their backup system and how long it lasts which was helpful. Very neat intimate place close to FNB Stadium I loved everything however the host can just put 2 chairs and an ashtray outside to accommodate smoking guests who want to sit outside.

• Vicky (9/5): The room was neat and clean. The family made you feel at home, everything was easy to navigate. - The Host and the family were super friendly and accomodative. Nothing that was within their circumstances.

• Mahone (6/5): Besides the complaints, overall the stay wasn’t so bad. - Private room as stated, with accommodating cutlery, and necessities. The place was unprepared when we got there and we actually got sent to a different guest house nearby that we didn’t even agree to and no communication was made that the room was not yet ready for new guests so we had to wait for it to get prepared. Plus the shower was also not working as well.
