Could get hold of the property agent via Whatsapp and videocall them to locate the keybox. Bed was comfy. Biggest annoyance: property agent contacted me outside booking.com and demanded a "mandatory fee for linen, towel and cleaning". Since it was clearly stated in my contract that this was already included, I refused to pay, which lead to hours of quibbling, wasting my time. Since the property are not supposed to ask for money outside the platform, I also reported them to Booking.com for fee circumvention, but customer support was totally useless this time. Second annoyance: check-in instructions were useless. Didn't explain that I got a basement flat, which was only accesible from the outside. Also, didn't explain that I had to access a second hidden key box instead of the main one. Third annoyance: room had no windows at all, it didn't look like any of the pictures in the ad. There was a glass door leading to the kitchenette, but the glass was taped over with cardboard. Also, the bathroom was quite dark and dimly lit.

• Alex (1/5): SCAM - STAY AWAY! NOT THE PROPERTY IN THE PHOTOS. DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY AND TERRIBLE STENCH - Nothing. Absolutely horrible and mis-sold property - NOT the property in the photos, instead a dimly lit basement with terrible stench and an unclean living area - None of the amenities shown in the photos were present - The bathroom was disgusting. Everything. NOT THE PROPERTY IN THE PHOTOS. DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY AND TERRIBLE STENCH. COULDN'T SLEEP DUE TO UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOURS. From the start the online check-in process was invasive and asked me to take selfies, then the process broke and I couldn't access it any more - I had to contact the owner to resolve. When we arrived we were greeted with an overwhelming stench of cigarettes, then as we got to the room, there was an additional smell of human faeces. The images of the property on the Booking.com listing are NOT the same as the property we were given. It was a cold, dimly lit dungeon in a basement, NOT an upstairs room. The entire property was filthy and uncleaned, the floor was dirty, the sheets covered in human hair and the bathroom reeked and was also uncleaned. We arrived at 6PM and had to leave urgently for a dinner reservation, we returned late at night - otherwise, I would not have stayed here. Further, the ceiling was paper-thin and we could hear the upstairs neighbours stomping around, screaming and shouting until 1AM. I had to be awake at 6AM the following morning - this combined with the horrible stench of the entire property meant neither me or my partner could sleep and we're exhausted for an important day of work the following day. This was the absolute WORST property I have ever encountered and the host was unhelpful and complained when I contacted him when we returned from dinner about the state of the place. Further, the boiler and the fridge were noisy and in the adjacent room. There were glass coffee cups left on the draining board that were black with filth. Two of the power outlets were not working, nor was the bedside lamp. None of the amenities shown in the photos on the listing were present except for a TV that was half hanging off the wall, posing a safety hazard. Everything was absolutely terrible. Shameful and disgusting.
• Ahmad (4/5): - The room was spacious enough. The bed was clean and comfortable. After booking, an email was sent for "pre-check-in". This process included not only a very intrusive and probably illegal "identification" process, but also a mandatory "cleaning fee", which goes against the policies of this website (hidden costs). The heater didn't work. I asked the owner to turn it on. After three days of back and forth, they gave me a small but loud electric fan instead, which obvioulsy is useless for sleeping. Even on the sixth day of stay, the heater never warmed up. The room itself was large enough but the bathroom was extremely tiny. There was no real possibilty to wash your hands, unless you you went to a shared bathroom, even though the booked room was "en suite". The shower was also very small. There was a TV, but the remote had no battery juice left. The windows are old and one-layered so you can hear everything outside. Can't recommend, especially for this price.

Just outside the kitchen, there is a beautiful courtyard with trees and squirrels, which creates a very pleasant atmosphere, even though we did not have access to it. The location is good. The heating is adequate. The hosts responded our messages. The kitchen lacks sufficient utensils. The bathroom is shared and located outside the room, despite the listing stating that there was a private bathroom, which is misleading. The photos did not reflect the actual condition of the room at all. The room is in a semi-basement and has a noticeable dampness issue. The room was not clean, which made the stay unpleasant. Although the hosts responded quickly, our request to move to a room matching the original description was not accommodated. There are concerns regarding security: the door lock system uses a 4-button combination without a clear start/reset function, meaning it could potentially be unlocked by trying a small number of combinations(just 6).

Checked into our room as instructed using a key code and found other guests’ bags already in there so they’d clearly double booked our room. Terrible security as obviously we could have taken the other guests items, luckily we are good people! Obviously couldn’t stay there, no staff at the property and no answer on WhatsApp or phone call even the next morning. Booking.com had to find me alternative accommodation for the night. Avoid avoid avoid. Also paid them directly £15 for late checkout AND they charged me £3 for miscellaneous cleaning fees etc which I feel should be included in the room rate so will need to get those back somehow from my bank

Despite this, they didn’t even provide my check details until 4.45pm. 2: They gave me the wrong check in details. Instructions were so unclear. I was then on call with them for 25 mins whilst they figure I where I’m staying. 3: They make you complete an online form after booking. However, there’s a HIDDEN FEE for this place, that they don’t mention during booking. You have no choice but to pay the fee, if you want check in details. 4: Despite paying the fee, you don’t even get hand wash in the toilets. 5: The entire property smelt like weed. I was very uncomfortable here.

• Ekaterina (5/5): - The location is nice. We were given clear instructions on how to get in. The place has good ventilation, we didn't have to open the window to get fresh air during the night. There is a kitchen with a fridge, a stove, and an electric kettle. There is a washing machine. Towels and toilet paper were provided. The apartment was advertised as a second floor apartment but it is actually in the basement. The room is not what you see on the listing photos. The kitchen didn't have any cutlery or cooking pans or even soap for washing the plastic cups that were provided. Ants appeared in our trash bin at some point during our stay.

• Michael (1/5): Overall, a very poor experience and we would not stay here again. - Affordable. The room was extremely small and cramped, with slanted furniture and barely enough space to open a suitcase. The mini-fridge was tiny and almost unusable. Heating was inconsistent, leaving the room either very cold or too hot. Noise was a major issue—we could hear everything through the thin walls, and it was difficult to sleep. The listing also didn’t make clear that multiple other guests would be sharing the house, with only one shower for everyone, meaning long waits in the morning. Facilities were poor: the kitchen lock didn’t work, running water was limited, and on our last night the shower was broken and only ran cold, so we had to leave and book elsewhere. The property did not match the photos, the garden had rubbish, and there were very few amenities nearby. When we raised issues, staff were unhelpful and sent information that didn’t relate to our problem. Overall, very disappointing and would not recommend.

Advertised parking, but no driveway it is on road parking which is only available between 6:30pm too 8:30am as it is for permit holders only but if you’re only using it for somewhere to sleep then it’s perfect so wasn’t really an issue in the end but not made clear at time of booking as I did specify during the search that I required parking, no issues finding a space, plenty available, was able to park right outside just had to make sure I had moved car by 8:30am Only slight annoyance was the noise of heating/pipes during the night once asleep i didn’t hear it, but light sleepers may. Everything else okay, for the price it’s great

Llegada super fácil y ubicación ideal (20-30 mins en bus del centro). Estaría bien que en las fotos se dijera que habitación es cada una, ya que no todas son idénticas. Fue perfecto.

• Dave (7/5): Very cheap and fine if you don't require any luxury. - It's a quiet and very nice area of London. It is very cheap, consequently it gives very good value for money. The facilities are very basic. It's just a bed and a TV screen effectively. Having to share a toilet/shower is a pain. The biggest problem is the central heating system and the noise it makes. A high-pitched whine every 15 mins or so. It makes sleeping very difficult.
