Guest Reviews
- Jackie (9/5): Family visit - A clean spotless house Nothing
- Natalie (6/5): OK for a couple of nights but property could be refreshed and more of a guide on the property needed - Good size main bedroom
Bath in property
Parking was easy Needed a better clean and a decor freshen up. Patches showing damp etc evident
2 smaller bedrooms bed just about fit but affected door opening
Not the nicest area - drunk girl knocking on the door 2nd night of stay
No property guide on site so unsure of things like WiFi code, what needed to be done before checkout etc
- Rachel (9/5): Fabulous place for a family gathering - Great location for where we needed to be, as described, plenty of facilities in the house. Maybe leave a couple of extra binbags
- Chris (10/5): I have stayed here several times with my children and will continue to do so. It’s a lovely little house with everything - Clean, spacious and homely. Great communications with the host, Juliet. If you need to know anything she will get back to you with a speedy response. Not applicable.
- Mick (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. Won't hesitate to book again.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabia (10/5): Exceptional - The house was clean and what we needed for our girly trip with the kids.....
- Churchill (8/5): Needs radiator covers securing to walls. - Property was spacious for our family size and the beds were comfortable. Loved all the artwork and accessories that made it look homely. The coffee pod machine doesn’t work, the out door bins in the garden were full to the brim.
The hallway’s radiator cover is not secure to the wall and actually fell on my three year old.
The larger bathroom shower head doesn’t actually work, it looks like it’s there for show.
- Joanne (10/5): Excellent property - will book again! - Location perfect for visiting family in Redcar. Nothing.
- Edward (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Phill (7/5): Nice comfy house . - The house was nice, warm, and very clean . Nicly decorated. The beds were very comfy .location was good for town centre parking was great considering parking out on the road outside the property. If needing the loo at night, it's a bit of a walk as it's downstairs at the end of the kitchen. Sadly, one of the bedrooms was a bit snug for two adults and suitcases . The beds are comfy but let down by the metal bed frames, which moves and disturbedes your partner when you turn over I the night .
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynda (8/5): We had a lovely stay, thank you - The location is good, free and easy parking on the street. Easy access into the cottage which was larger than expected. Very close to centre and the beach. The toilet seat needs attention, it was very loose
- Vicki (8/5): Comphy and house beautiful - The accommodation
- Jess (10/5): Exceptional - lovely decor, very clean, very good value for money, close to the beach Nothing!
- Andrea (10/5): We all had a great time. - The property was very comfortable, spacious and suited us perfectly for a trip to see family in the area. Everything was great, really impressed with the property.

- Anonymous (8/5): Great value for money, host very contactable, lots of quirky touches 🫶 - You could see the love that has been given to this property Hall radiator cover needs fixing to the wall
- Lesley (9/5): Perfect location - The location was great, close to the beach and shops.
We went exploring nearby Whitby and Robin Hoods bay which were absolutely beautiful.
The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed.
Communication with Juliet was great as well. There really wasn't anything to dislike that could have been fixed I.e. noisy and nosy neighbours.
I had trouble using the oven and washer/dryer and couldn't find any instructions, I ended up googling the washing machine to figure out the dryer component. Also, the front door could be tricky to lock.
But apart from that everything was great.
- Siobhan (8/5): Very good - The cottage is beautiful once inside. It's clean, spacious and the decor is stunning. Parking there was easy and the owner very kindly let us check in early. The street the cottage is on (and actually the whole of redcar) is quite run down. The walls of the cottage are really thin which wasn't great particularly one night when the neighbours young child seemed to be quite upset throughout the night meaning that we didn't get much sleep.
- Angie_lm (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely decoration, nice comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, table and chairs outside, private yard, plenty of parking
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Good sized room, excellent decor

- Josie (9/5): Superb - The place was so comfortable. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Nothing really. The mattress was a bit soft for our liking, but that's just nit picking.
- Carol (10/5): Amazing host, felt it was home from home - Great location for rye beach and town. Absolutely fabulous decor, everything was finished to a very high standard and beds super comfy.
So many amazing little touches to make it home from home and provided so much more than I expected and will be back soon 😀
- Euro (9/5): Charlotte Street cottage - Excellent communication from Juliet throughout. This is home from home, has everything you need to enjoy quality time away with family. Close to the beach and shops and a good base to explore the surrounding area. More of a victorian terrace than a cottage
- Jackie (10/5): lovely - clean modern well decorated property location was great parking tight
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Steve (10/5): Years since we have been to Redcar so really nice to return especially to a great accomadation. - Location was great and the Cottage was very well equiped and the decor very quirky. Very helpful owner and cleaning team.
Will be back all being well Just the bathroom being downstairs but could cope with that for a few days.
