Bikes. A loch behind the house. LP player with vinyls. Felt like home! Secret tip: Ask Esther about the match of women rugby ;) Nothing.

Both bedrooms en-suite and the mezzanine tv area was lovely and very comfortable. Even had a turntable and vinyl records to play 😊The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need.
• Lily (10/5): Peaceful cottage on the water with welcoming hosts. - Our hosts were so welcoming and kind! The cottage was clean and we were greeted with a sweet treat! A bit difficult to find the path to the beach but once we looked a second time we found it!

The owners gave us a warm welcome and were incredibly helpful with local recommendations that made our trip even better. The cottage is beautiful and cozy, fully furnished with all necessities and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy experience. Nothing to report.

• Piotr (10/5): A warm, welcoming gem in the most beautiful part of Scotland - Swallow Cottage was by far the highlight of our family trip to Scotland. Nick and Esther were amazing hosts and welcomed us in the kindest manner we ever experienced, ensuring we're all comfortable (and even providing extra toys and equipment for our 1 and 3 year olds). The location is perfect for a family trip- far from roads and surrounded by nature. The stay definitely exceeded our expectations and made us hope we will come back in the future. Thank you! Everything was perfect, I genuinely can't find a single flaw to describe here

• Thomas (7/5): okay but not as advertised - great location and easy parking access. Remote location across beautiful fields near a wonderful lake. We rented a spatious double apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and we did use the kitchen which was clean. Everything is quite basic. the "tv room" in the mezzanine is a bit strange and not so practical. We were however quite disappointed that we didn't have a view ((a view was advertised when we booked) and that we didn't have a fireplace (this was also advertised when we booked). So the place in tiself was okay, simple but accomodating, however we felt deceived because the reality did not meet with what was promised or advertised.
• Glenys (10/5): A lovely stay in a lovely location with great hosts who are on hand to assist you in any way they can. - The location is stunning, although it’s very quiet there is plenty to do if you want. Esther and Nick are the hosts and they gave us a lovely warm welcome as did their sons who were very similar ages to our grandsons. The property was well equipped , had everything we needed. We were all sad to leave and the grandchildren are planning when we can go back.

• Linda (8/5): Base to relax! - Exceptionally clean, very spacious. Great base for exploring the area. Scenery is heavenly. The mattress we had was very hard which is not to our liking but may be to others. This is purely personal choice. 2 shower cubicles would be better instead of a shower head over bath. The washing machine can be heard through the walls which wouldn’t be a problem if the hours of use were adhered to. We were awoken by this before 8am on 2 mornings. Perhaps locking this door would be more beneficial. There is work being carried out on the next property therefore some noise experienced and foul language overheard. Not adverse to this but the expectation was an idyllic, off grid type of holiday. Couldn’t find the bbq!
• Craig (10/5): We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful setting. - The facilities were great and the location was wonderful, allowing walks to the beach and up a nearby hill for beautiful views over the loch. The host and hostess were outgoing and very friendly. Nothing.

Better to be in the location and spend time around, we were out and about however would have liked to spend more time in the nearby areas. Will definitely plan another visit soon! • Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Ideal place to stay to explore Scotland. Lovely accommodation and owners. Plenty of local information available. No dislikes but the view of the loch is limited but the surroundings are very pleasant.
• Ralf (9/5): Superb - The cottage has a great location. Its centered in between all the western scotish highlights that you can reach from there by car. Also it has a nice beach (stones) to go swimming and where kids can look for seashells. There are some hidden nature features and there is a good restaurant nearby. The landlords are really nice. We really enjoyed our stay there.
