• Bruno (1/5): much better for less money elsewhere - i chose this place after comparing it with another option on booking.com, mainly because of its stronger reviews across platforms. in hindsight, i wish i hadn't. i arrived late and, as often happens, the person i had been communicating with on whatsapp was not there. instead, i was checked in by staff who seemed very young, spoke no english and handled things with little sense of urgency. it set the tone: slow, disorganized, and not particularly welcoming after a long day of travel. the room itself was problematic in several ways. it is located directly next to the staircase: so close that stepping out requires immediate attention to avoid the drop. as expected, this meant constant noise from people going up and down. combined with very thin walls and a building that feels generally worn down, there was no sound insulation. the room was also extremely small, with barely enough space to move around the bed. the windows were old and didn’t close. despite a supposed quiet time after 11pm, there was loud activity from staff late into the night. when i reacted to the noise, the situation escalated in an unexpected way: instead of addressing the disturbance, the owner called to complain about me 'making noise' and potentially waking other guests, when i was telling them to shut up! this was particularly frustrating given the circumstances. attempts to discuss the room issues,especially the windows, were consistently avoided. requests for any form of compensation were dismissed and the conversation was repeatedly deflected with reassurances like 'no one else has complained' and suggestions that i was overreacting. i was told i could change rooms the next morning, though it was implied that this would come at a higher cost. after a sleepless night, i went to check the other accommodation i had originally considered, located about 650m away.

Junges, hilfsbereites Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert! Im Doppelzimmer könnte noch ein Regal/Schrank zum Verstauen der Sachen angebracht werden.

• Antoine (9/5): Beautiful sunset rooftop and great location - A great location and a beautiful rooftop terrace! Rooms are basic but clean and for this price in this location, this is good value for money. Mahen at the reception is nice ane helpful.
• Susan (3/5): Not for us - It is a in a good location close to places of interest. The view from the terrace is lovely over the lake. The young man who manages it is friendly. If you are over 24 this is not the place for you. It is rundown, dirty, noisy. You cannot describe the bed as having a mattress. It’s more like a padded board. The pillows are rock hard. You need to keep an eye on your shoes as my husband’s flip flops were taken. After making a fuss they did turn up. The room was dirty with rubbish under the bed. The walls are crumbling. After one use the towels were musty.

• Claudette (7/5): The dorm might be good but the rooms are bad value for price point. - I am unsure why this place rates highly except for the staff who are so accommodating and lovely. I saw mihot take a solo traveller around everywhere so they were not lonely. The place is well located, and the views from the small, non glam rooftops are beautiful.. and you don't need to buy anything to be on them. Management were good in communicating and getting us two rooms. The cleaner does a good job with the equipment she has. And she cha ged our smelly bla ket and gave us a top sheet when we requested it. Aside from that the dorms must be good because the deluxe and 'best room' in the house are not good value at all. The main problem is the design of the building with the staircase against the back wall. It is basically an amplifier and echo chamber. So if someone is upstairs making a phone call (not loud) you are going to hear every word at 1am. If they are listening to sport below at 2pm... you are going to know about every goal. Its just acoustics. The bathroom was tiiiiny.. we have travelled for three months and have not had such a small bathroom full of limescale and red mould. This would require a deep clean with products I'm sure the cleaner doesn't have access to. If you are bathroom sensitive this is not the place for you.. check out the photos. At this price point.. the best room was 3500.. you can expect much better in India.

Special thanks to the community manager Misbah and Mahen . They didn't let me feel like I was on a solo trip. Is not value for money . Prices are higher according to the facilities . • Anouk (8/5): The BEST location! - The people: we did not see the owners but Mahen was running the hotel at the time we were there and he was simply wonderful. He also took us on a morning tour through the hills and i highly recommend this!! It is very very beautiful. Also the location is AMAZING! Thanks for everything Mahen. Compared to our other stays this was more expensive.

Il letto è scomodissimo, durissimo e il bagno piccolo e lo scolo della doccia non funzionava bene e l’acqua faticava a scendere.

Prima camera che ci hanno dato non aveva la chiave, sono rimasti sconvolti quando gliel'abbiamo richiesta. Non so se il posto abbia cambiato gestione ma onestamente se potete, evitate. Noi la seconda notte ad udaipur abbiamo cambiato hotel direttamente, all'ultimo, e venivamo da 6 giorni di standard indiano gestito senza troppe turbe. Aiuto.
