• Keith (9/5): Authentic Korean feel - Authentic Korean feel. Superbly clean. Staff were very helpful. Nice quiet spot. There is a great seafood restaurant about half a kilometer away, near the burger bar. Korean map apps do not appear to have it listed so it was not easy to find but taxi found it from the directions on the Booking.com listing.

• Priya Forst (9/5): A peaceful, comfortable getaway just steps from the beach - I had a wonderful stay here. The location is fantastic—just a two-minute walk to the beach—and visiting in November meant the area was peaceful and quiet. The room itself was spacious, very comfortable, and very clean. While having a car is helpful for getting around the area with ease, there are convenience stores and cafés within a short distance. Overall, it was a great experience and I would happily stay again.

Une arrivée autonome est possible mais les gérants ont attendus qu'on soit là. Gel douche, shampoing, dentifrice fournis, trop bien. Belle taille du logement et grand parking ! Nous étions en voiture, indispensable pour l'emplacement.

The pension is close to the beach, and there are two convenience stores about 500 meters away. The room was nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We had a pleasant stay here! No complaints!
• airene (7/5): Leuke plek als je met de auto bent - De woeste zee Als iemand die met het ov reist was dit geen goede plek. Er was niets in de buurt. Voor restaurants of winkel was t n paar km lopen. Verder was er niets te doen. Op de kaart leek het alsof je midden in de natuur zat maar overa bebouwing de weg nabij eas best druk. Dit in combinatie met aanhoudende regen maakte dat ik eerder ben vertrokken.

• Sunghee (5/5): 숙소사용 (2025. 8.21 ~ 8.23) 가성비 ! 글쎄..... - 해변까지 걷기는 좋았고, 형태, 크기는 가족이 숙박하기에 무난했습니다. 호스트님 친절하시고 수건, 에어컨 사용하기에 괜찮았어요 5인가족으로 숙박하는곳 찾으며 욕실 두개라 하여 좋았는데 펜션을 가보니 하나는 화장실 용도로만 사용하게 되어 있고, 세면기가 없어 손을 씻기에도 불편하여 거의 사용 안했어요. ㅠ. 큰 욕실은 샤워, 화장실로 무난했지만 바닥타일부터 전체적으로 어둡고 환기도 잘 되지 않아 상쾌한 느낌이 들지 않았네요. 에어컨 없는방에 준비되어 있던 써큘레이터는 소리가 너무 요란하여 켰다가 놀라 바로 끄고 사용 포기 했어요. ㅠ

Les fenêtres étaient ouvertes et il y avait une menthe religieuse et un frelon dans la chambre que nous avons du chasser. La literie n'est pas très confortable, ce sont des matelas à ressort, et ne correspond pas aux photos. (sur les photos elle a l'air plus confortable)

The pension is stunning; in June, the garden is full of blooming roses. The staff were incredibly kind and always happy to help. The room was spacious and cozy. 🌹 Just one small detail: the fridge didn’t smell great — probably because the previous guest left kimchi inside. Maybe a more thorough cleaning next time :)

About the property itself there is nothing to not like. But if you’re traveling by public transport the bus timetable wasn’t always accurate.

The beach is like 5 mins walk and you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset from there. And usually not many people so almost felt like a private beach to us! Highly recommend it ! 너무 좋았어요! The room is bigger than what I thought and it's super easy to find the room even without internet. There's only Seatea Bus 1 passes by and the hour is very limited. The apartment was amazingly big, comfortable, totally cozy and lovely decorated as well as absolutely clean and everything seemed to be new. The kitchen offered everything we could have wished for so we could easily cook our meals for dinner at home. The hosts were super friendly and we where happy they proactively liked to help us with spots to visit, transportation options etc. The apartment was located just in front of the beach and the bus stop to go to other beaches or the city center. We absolutely loved the place and Gangneung and will definitely come back! ♡ Everything was perfect!
• Nini (9/5): Cozy place and great host! - My friends and I enjoyed staying at Eungabi Pension for the weekend! Everything was very comfortable and clean. The check-in process was super smooth and the host was very sweet! Although we didn't end up leaving our bags after check in, she allowed us to leave our bags at the pension for as long as we wanted! They also provided us with a map of the city and gave us quick tips and recommendations, which I found very helpful! The Pension was slightly far from the main city and downtown but close to one of the beaches, which was exactly what we were looking for. However, we did take a lot of taxis.

They even added a heated blanket to the bed that was warmed and waiting for us at our arrival. There were also a great amount of towels. The bathroom was extremely spacious. The area was also the most perfect location. The owners also gave us brochures to help us navigate the area and find things to do. Gangreung is a beautiful place all year round. • Marcin (9/5): A very nice guesthouse - A nice guesthouse not far from the sea. We were I think the only guests as it was the offseason. The room was interesting, as it was more "Korean style" than the ones we stayed in earlier, with a futon bed, a low table with no chairs. It was an interesting diversion from the regular guesthouse fare. The room was a bit cold at the start but we turned on the mattress heating and it was more than enough. The owners met us when we arrived, don't speak too much English but are very nice people. When we had a request, they were very quick to help. Theere was a parking lot next to the guesthouse. The room looked like it was cleaned some time ago, probably due to the offseason.

• Foteh (7/5): Overall satisfactory. 7/10 - It says there’s no bed so I assumed we would sleep on the floor but it did have a mattress. It’s also located right nearby a beach which was a plus. Absolutely gorgeous views if you go there at the right time. The staff never bothered us. The price for the barbecue. 30k for just a place where you can cook your own meat and eat? That’s a bit over the top. The place doesn’t look like the photos. Certainly less attractive but nothing drastic. The bathroom had a smell of mold which made the whole experience feel like you’re spending your time in a retirement home or something. They did not provide a single-use toothbrush like other airbnb places do. No female hygiene products either, but to be fair they made it clear from the get go. Good place if you want to save up some money and treat this place as a sleeping space between exploring the city and beaches. Not the best place if you want some aesthetic experience.

• Chelsea (10/5): Exceptional - The property was clean, a short walk to the beach and very close to several convenience stores. The property was also very beautifully decorated outside with flowers and fairy lights. It was clear that the owners took pride in the property and they themselves were very friendly — they offered us free drinks and food and were generally very kind when giving advice regarding taxis and getting to the beach.
• Liza (9/5): An aesthetically pleasant, relaxing stay - Welcoming, hard-working and kind hosts. My room with the garden view was the best - the owners do an exceptional job at landscaping and caring for the garden. Clean, tidy and very cozy room, which was equipped with everything I needed. Enjoying coffee on the balcony was debatably maybe even better than going to the beach. The pension is a family friendly place. Korean humidity during summer rainy season gets the best of all of the wet bathrooms. Clothes don't dry, and a bit of mold here and there..
