• Robert (10/5): Very comfortable house in a very scenic location. - Orchard Cottage is a very comfortable house with a good well equipped kitchen, and good sized lounge and bedrooms. It is in a lovely quiet location. It is close to the River Till. We liked visiting nearby Etal which has a castle and tea room, and also Heatherslaw Corn Mill. There's plenty to see and do in the local area.
• William (8/5): Very comfortable cottage in a great location. - The beds were very comfortable and the shower worked well, with plenty of hot water. The property was very clean. Several of the internal doors would not close properly because of defective latches. The toilet door lock did not work. There were no instructions about rubbish and food recycling. There were no side tables for drinks alongside the sofas in the sitting room.

• Selina (10/5): Comfortable, clean cottage in peaceful beautiful countryside - We had a fantastic week at Orchard Cottage, Lucy and Rosie’s hospitality is exceptional - we had everything we needed in the cottage to make our stay comfortable and carefree and it is in a beautiful and peaceful location. If you need a quiet and comfortable break with country walks from your doorstep this is the place for you. We loved walking along the river and saw an abundance of wildlife including dippers and kingfishers along the river and an incredible number of hares in the fields. Our 2 dogs had a joyful time - lots of time off the lead as there are no roads or farm animals to worry about anywhere near the cottage. And there’s plenty to see locally in a short drive - market towns, castles, river walks, hill walks, fantastic countryside. We’ll definitely be booking the cottage again as we left with plenty still to explore.
