- Hill (10/5): Our first stop on the EBC trail, set the bar high! - Quiet hotel with a brilliant host, Subash was fun and very attentive to our needs.
- Astrid (9/5): Perfect - Honestly this was the best place we stayed the entire time we trekked 3 Passes for 20 days. Benkar deserves a special mention, its a gorgeous little village and my favourite. Its a mere 2.3kms from Phakding (just keep walking for a little way), has delightful hosts, super cosy rooms with a view, shared balcony, 2 years old and a nice outdoors are and you can stroll around the beautiful village and feel like you're on holiday (unlike the trekking crowds at some very average accomodations). Theres a review photo that makes the handbasin look abominable and i saw a bit of water damage myself but it truly does not reflect the beautiful quality of the hotel. And OMG! Its a bargain stay! Absolutely nothing to complain about. Fresh produce grown locally in this village... I could rave on all day about this place

- David (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing lodgel. We had to cancel due to flights being cancelled to Lukla and the owner Pasan was very kind and understanding. It's a really clean place with a lovely sitting area overlooking the river and valley. The bathrooms and sitting area are very cute. I highly recommend this as a stop. It's also a very quiet area with few guest houses. Also very tasty foodđesp sherpa pancake and their home made spicy sauce and the dhal bat is great.
