- Breege (10/5): Fantastic short stay in a beautiful cottage. - This is just what we wanted for our short visit to the Cotswolds. The house was beautiful and Cat added the extra touches. Sourdough, butter, milk and water when we arrived plus toys appropriate for a 1 year old. The cottage was right in the middle of Stow- in-the- Wold, a beautiful town in the midst of the Cotswolds. Spacious with everything we needed.
- Andrea (8/5): Wonderful stay - we would love to visit again - Lovely property in the heart of stow on the wold. Beautifully presented and very homely. Nothing
- Jemma (10/5): -
- EMMA (9/5): Beautiful well located cottage - Gorgeous property, finished to a high standard with everything you need for a comfortable cosy stay. Nothing!

Very comfortable throughout with especially comfortable beds!
Convenient parking just up the road with beautiful shops and restaurants nearby.
I would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area
Thank you There is nothing not to like in this lovely property.
- Neil (10/5): A perfect country cottage stay where everything we needed was catered for. We would definitely love to return again - The cottage was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed. It had a wonderful warmth with cosy nooks and has been decorated to a high standard with crisp linen and comfortable beds Nothing it was perfect
- Pamela (10/5): Just perfect - The cottage was as it was described
Perfect Nothing
- Geordie (10/5): Cosy accomodation in a great location - Great location and cosy accomodation. We spent most nights by the fire !
- Victoria (10/5): A beautiful cottage in a beautiful village, a perfect day with our family - The location is amazing and the decoration is beautifully done and in keeping with the Cotswolds vibe Whilst we stayed, it was unusually warm and we had all the windows open. The road outside of the property can get quite busy and a little bit noisy. This probably wouldn’t be an issue in the winter when the windows were closed. We recognise there is nothing to do about it and as we live in London and are used to surrounding noise it wasn’t a problem for us but might be of concern to some guests.
- Gary (9/5): Beautiful cottage in perfect location. Makes for a fantastic english countryside stay. - The location was fantastic, right in the centre of the village and just around the corner from a great selection of cafes, shops and pubs.
The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean and beautifully decorated. The private courtyard was a great bonus.
We were able to find free street parking not far from the cottage every day, even if we stayed in the busy summer season. We had a couple really warm nights and if you like sleeping with the window open, the road outside can get a bit loud in the morning.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional hosts and a lovely cottage in a wonderful location. Bread & eggs wonderful. - Very easy. Communication was clear and direct.
- Felix (10/5): Amazingly cute Cottage in the Cotswolds - I cannot say enough good things about how wonderfully comfortable and cute this little cottage was. My family and I felt like we were living in a fairy tale. The owners communicated very clearly. They also gave great advice on local restaurants and hikes. Check-in was a snap. We enjoyed the nice thoughtful touch of some fresh farm, eggs and bread. Everything felt so fresh and new. Excellent kitchen. We loved sitting outside as well. The upstairs bedrooms were good size and the beds and bedding incredibly soft. Both of the bathrooms were very clean. Everything in the village was an easy 1 it Minute walk away. Fantastic location. Would highly recommend this Cottage Can't really find anything off. The bathrooms and bedrooms are upstairs so need to be reached by stairway only.. so if there was a disability that would be difficult.
- Timothy (10/5): It was a very nice experience. The host Cat and John made our stay very enjoyable. - Wonderful perfect cottage in the best town to stay in the Cotswolds.
- Ann (10/5): We loved it and would like to come back! Stow in the Wold and Whitsun Cottage are little gems. - The location was perfect. Minutes by foot to great shops, restaurants, cafes. The property was impeccably clean, comfy, well appointed, and beautifully decorated. The photos are accurate. Our hosts were great communicators, extremely thorough and highly responsive. We could not recommend them more highly. Nothing.
- Posey (10/5): Throroughly the high quality, cottage experience we were hoping for. - Right around the corner from Whitsun cottage is a wondeful coffee shop Otis & Belle. . . 2 mins in and out for great pasteries and coffee- then back with them to the cozy cottage. FYI Stow On the Wold is filled with coffee shops- restaurants and unique stores and shops. Also, BTW-The owners had a beautiful loaf of bread, Costswold butter and fresh eggs waiting for us on our arrival. Try the Sheep Pub (particularly on Sunday) and Alfonso's Gelato shop. For us the coattage was perfect. There is a narrow steep staircase-
- Andrew (10/5): Superb accommodation and great location - A lovely cottage with great facilities and walking distance to the town centre - a super place to stay A great welcome pack and a very well kept place to stay that’s also dog friendly
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location in beautiful Stow on the Wold. Cottage was really pretty, very comfortable and immaculately kept. Dog walks from the front door and town on your doorstep.
- Helen (9/5): A perfect hassle free couple of days having some chilled family time relaxing together - Cleanliness, comfy beds, location to shops, restaurants and helpful friendly owners. We felt the small room could have done with a black out curtain/thicker curtain for privacy and for sleeping when others were up and about with lights on.
- Robert (10/5): The cottage was beautifully furnished to a very high standard. Cat and John were great hosts! 5* - The cottage was beautifully furnished to a very high standard.
- Donna (10/5): Beautiful Cotswold cottage - Beautifully decorated with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Beds and showers perfect! Fireplace was a nice addition and made the whole experience special . Loved Stow on the wold. Lots of great restaurants. Loved everything. Would stay there again!
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- B (9/5): Superb -
- Louis (10/5): Exceptional - Whitsun Cottage is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds, the cottage is just as nice as it looks in the pictures and Cat gave us some great recommendations for places to visit in the local area.
- Donna (10/5): Pretty, comfortable little cottage that I would stay in again. It had all the comforts you require. - The location was right in town and the hosts left some bread, eggs and milk for our breakfast which was lovely.
- Linda (10/5): Cosy and comfortable in the Cotswolds - The cottage was even prettier than the photos and very comfortable. We did not have a car but it was not hard to get a taxi in Moreton to Stow. Once in the town square it was a short walk to the cottage. Our hosts had left us milk, eggs, coffee, tea, and a loaf of delicious bread. Communicating with our hosts was very good. Could not have asked for a better accommodation. Two of us in the party have hip issues and there are a few stairs. Even so I would book it again.
- Leith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kendall (10/5): Lovely house, perfect spot for my moms birthday weekend in the Cotswolds - Beautiful touches
All the amenities
Location was perfect
Easy communication with hosts
- Janet (10/5): We had the most amazing break in every way possible and will return -
- Matthews (9/5): Perfect for our needs. 😊 - Beautiful cottage in the perfect location.
Well equipped and lovely courtyard at the rear. A real bonus! 😊
- Allison (10/5): Absolutely fabulous place and stay! - This was by far one of the nicest rentals we've ever stayed in. The property is quaint, clean, maintained well, and filled with the smallest details of beautiful decor. I've always wanted to stay in what I viewed as a "quintessential Cotswold village house" and this ticked all those boxes and more. We were greeted by a beautiful spread of fresh, homemade bread, butter, and eggs, which we ate every breakfast on the back patio. Such a welcoming touch and so appreciated. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding quite nice. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, and the location is perfect for enjoying and walking around Stow and as a base for enjoying the area. There is no dedicated parking spot for those with cars, but finding a place to park our car on the next street over was never a problem (about a 5 minute walk). Lots of shops and places to eat all in easy walking distance. This is really not a critique of the property, as it is true for all of England in the summer, but for those traveling during the height of summer, just be aware that this property is located on a main street of Stow, and as such, when windows are left open overnight to keep the rooms cool, there is a lot of traffic noise; more than I anticipated for such a small town. Daylight also comes early, around 5:30am in the height of summer. So plan ahead and bring a noise machine. None of us slept past about 5:45 am each morning. *This is probably only a concern for us Americans from southern states who are used to sleeping in very dark rooms with air conditioning!
- Wei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Krista (10/5): Beautiful Cottage right in the centre of Stow - As soon as we walked in to the cottage we were charmed by the ambience and tasteful, charming decor. The cottage was in a fantastic location, right in the centre of Stow. It was well equipped with everything you would need, and the beds were ultra comfy! I want to buy the same pillows and duvets for myself. John and Cat were fantastic hosts. I will be back again! Not one thing.
- Cliff (10/5): A perfect place to stay, very well stocked and close to other locations in the area - Location was perfect to travel from around the Cotswolds. The town of Stow in the Wold was also very nice with great restraurants. The Bread and eggs and milk were a nice extra to find when we arrived. Not enough tea bags for four people and someone's left over ice cream in the freezer
- Kerry (8/5): We had a good time - The heating in the house was not the best. It was very cold in the early hours of the morning.
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful cottage in the heart of Stow - Amazing location, right in the centre of town. The house was exceptional, the decor was like a magazine and everything you could think of was provided. We travelled with our 12 week old daughter and there was a nursery rhyme book and floor playmat left out for us which was a nice touch. Parking wasn’t right outside however we knew this before and the hosts sent info on where it was available. The location was worth the lack of parking.
- Lynda (8/5): Enjoyable and relaxing - The bucket under the sink and the oven not been cleaned blocked drain outside but the owner got that sorted straight away.
- Margot (10/5): Perfectly formed boutique cottage in ideal location - This is the nicest cottage I have stayed in. The facilities are exceptional, every room is exquisite, the decor is beautiful, excellent showers, modern bathrooms, amazing fully equipped kitchen. I read reviews that it is small but we three adults found it plenty large enough. We even had a spare bedroom. Perfect location on Sheep St so it’s a few steps to all the wonderful pubs, restaurants and shops. If you get the chance to visit Stow, be sure to stay at Whitsun Cottage. Nothing could have been better
- Gill (10/5): A lovely place to stay - would highly recommend - Great location - beautifully decorated and well equipped. The hosts communicated well and left us some tasty bread, milk and eggs on our arrival. N/A
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Wonderful location, beautiful cottage with absolutely everything you could need, including bread, eggs and milk at arrival! Nothing, was perfect!
- Miceli (10/5): We loved our stay and would/will be back sooner than later I hope! - The cleanliness, charm, and decor were top tier! Could have used more toilet paper, if anything.
- Kay (10/5): Absolutely gorgeous decor and comfort in the heart of Stow - a very special find! - The cottage is the most wonderful mixture of comfort and style - beautiful decor and amazing facilities - proper kitchen knives and decent wine glasses, perfect beds, bedding and towels. Every detail has been considered and designed with great care and attention to detail. We loved how convenient the location was - it is on a busy road which can be noisy but the double glazing cuts it out pretty much and the convenience for so many great places to shop and eat makes it a brilliant spot to be. It is tiny but perfectly thought out - great for a couple with kids. Tough to think of anything we didn't like.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - All the lovely little touches that the owner provided. So many and so thoughtful. The whole of the cottage was so wonderfully appointed. So comfortable and relaxing with beautiful furnishings. Couldn't fault anything. We'll be back I am sure.
