Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (10/5): - This is my third time staying at Peekaboo Hostel, and once again, I have no complaints. For this trip, I stayed in a private room, and it was nice and clean. The staff were amazing once again and always made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, I was only there for one night this time, but it was still a great stay. I highly recommend this hostel!

- Sara (10/5): Excellent quality and value in the heart of Marrakech. - Fabulous stay and amazing staff. The terrace was a fabulous place to hang out. Ziad went up and beyond to ensure I had a great stay by chatting with me, preparing tea and making me feel safe and welcome as a solo female traveler. His English and French is perfect and he treated all guests with respect and I felt he genuinely cared about all guests. Zine the dog was super sweet and made me feel at home while I was far away from my family, friends and animals. I hope to return and will highly recommend this hostel to my friends. I wish I could have stayed longer.
- Crimilda (10/5): - Everything was great. Ziad is an exceptional host. It was clean throughout my stay and Fatima, la femme de ménage is so sweet. I’d definitely be back.
- Anuar Merrouni (10/5): - Todo bien :) Nada
- Sakina (10/5): -
- Hamman (2/5): - The beds make noises at each move, the rooms are smelly, and the bad have no comfort at all. Also, there were no quiet hours, even though the host was loud after getting back at 3am.
They say that parking available, which is not the case. i had to pay 7$ for it !!!
- Jana (9/5): - The Hostal is great, beds have curtains and you get a locker.
Ziad is an amazing host and made my stay really special!!!

- Mohamed (5/5): - The beds are comfortable its clean very kind staff, i loved the breakfast although its not included The location is good safe and friendly but its far for my preference

- Nasrredine (10/5): -
- Ahmed (10/5): Unforgettable - I loved the owner who was a sweet young g lady as well as the rest of the staff.
- Miraf Haileab (4/5): - The staff are friendly however, they keep their personal things in the customer's lockers as well the room to change their clothes. The owner came in at 3am after she took a shower to change her clothes. This woke me up and was disturbing. All lockers in the female room were not good. One keys can unlock all lockers.
- SSEBUNNYA (8/5): It was a good discovery eventually - My first experience of a mixed sex accomodation room The shock of having to share a room with the unknown yet opposite sex
- Virginie (10/5): -
- Alicja (10/5): The hosts were extremely friendly, ensuring everyone had a good stay. Everyone spoke good English, the facilities were i - Lokalizacja -

- Catalin Alexandru Fratila (7/5): -
- María Fernanda (4/5): Cheap, but uncomfortable - The beds where comfortable enough. Mariam, the person who received us the first day, was super helpful and nice. The facilities are poor, and small. The only common place was a terrace, which made it a bit uncomfortable when cold. There was a guy who was pretty rude working in the hostel, who could barely speak English as well.
- Carmen (1/5): - Muy sucio
- Afsaneh_1001 (5/5): -

- YEHIEL (1/5): - nothing There's a girl there named Miriam, she's a bad woman who doesn't respect me. I'm Latifa Twiil, number one in Marrakech.
- FZ Mouttaki (10/5): Will, be coming back for sure - Like is not a word I would use I would say I loved this place. The staff are just gems nice fun to hang out with very friendly and u feel as if your home!!! The beds were comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay.
I would like to add that the staff in the morning and the evening are just incredible, nice, caring and actually makes you feel as if you are staying at a friends house or even family. Meriam is a gem, very adorable helpful and there to help anyone that needs help in the hostel. Abdoulghafour is young gentleman that is there for any help you need, very fun to chill with in the evening.
I have been coming to this hostel since September and staying there for more than a week. That i had to leave!!! I want to stay more

- Paula (10/5): Felt very comfortable. Fatima was lovely and her team. Abdul and Mariam (met Ziad too - bikes) - The staff were amazing. The A team!
A warm welcome drinking tea and having crepes together.
Bed was so comfortable and the kitchen very useful.
Rooftop was a good location too.
Shop right next door for groceries.

- Lahlali (10/5): - Everything is good and clean ! The host is very kind
- Jennifer (8/5): A Cozy Gem in the Heart of the Medina - Peekaboo Hostel is a charming little place tucked away in the medina of Marrakesh. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made my stay so enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and had air conditioning, which was such a bonus during the 39-degree heat!
The washrooms were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and there was even a kitchen facility available if you wanted to cook. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Marrakesh. The only issue I had was the other guest in my room. Other than that it was great.

- Imane (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed at Peekaboo Hostel in Marrakech for two months, and it turned out to be a great choice for a longer visit. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, with a tasteful and thoughtful decor that makes the space feel warm without being overwhelming. There's a good balance between common areas for socializing and quieter corners where you can relax. The cleanliness of the facilities stood out throughout my stay. Rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces were always well-maintained, and it was clear that the staff puts real effort into keeping everything in good condition. The hostess and staff were consistently friendly and professional. They were approachable, helpful with any questions I had, and made the environment feel safe and well-run. I appreciated that they were available when needed but also gave guests their space — a hard balance to strike, and they did it well. What I enjoyed most was the genuine, relaxed vibe of the hostel. It attracts respectful, like-minded travelers, which made for a pleasant and easygoing social atmosphere without feeling like a party spot. Overall, Peekaboo is a solid option if you're looking for a clean, well-run, and welcoming place to stay in Marrakech — whether it’s for a few nights or a longer visit. I’d happily return.
- Akshatha (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were very helpful
Location is good
Very clean and tidy
- Mudassir (8/5): Recomended and value for money. - A budget-friendly and spotless place to stay, conveniently located within walking distance of major tourist attractions. The staff were kind and very helpful.
- Jinnette (8/5): Really cool place for connecting with people and chilling away from the Medina - The host was amazing, and very friendly. The location.
- Margarita (10/5): Exceptional - Very kind, helpful staff, clean and cozy hotel, perfect location! I really liked this place! There is also amazing roof with beautiful views of the city🤩
- Ahmed (1/5): Bad -
- Portia (8/5): Very good -
- Mireille (6/5): Thank you Nora! - The cost aligned with the product. Nora was very helpful, solved problems and was friendly.
The kitchen had what we needed. The location was convenient for pick ups during tours. The upstairs bathroom gets flooded when laundry is being done. The first floor light shines brightly at night in the full size bed room. People did not close the main door completely upon entering; essentially leaving it unlocked. There are zero hooks on the wall in the full size bedroom.
- Melo (7/5): Good -
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luka (9/5): Superb - It was very clean, that is big advantage, compared to other places in the city. staff was very friendly with excellent knowledge of english. recomend
- Sam (10/5): Lovely welcoming stay. - What a lovely welcoming hostel. Noura and Ziad are the nicest people and made me feel welcome. Everything was cleaned daily. The breakfast was lovely and good value for money. Didn’t want to leave as I felt so comfortable, especially with Chance the cat being so loving. Kitchen would be nicer if it were larger so more than one person can cook at any one time. A dining area would also be a plus.
- Riki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fathi (7/5): Good people but few things to work to be the perfect stay - Very nice staff
Reply fast on booking
They book taxi and meal for me Overpriced meal and breakfast
Lamp for deco only in the room (not working)
Shared bathroom (not detailed on booking or I missed it)
No water (like the other Moroccan hostel it seems)
- Christof (10/5): Exceptional - For me the best hostel in Marrakech.. and I tried quiet few ones. I felt like at home and met very interesting, special people. The owner and employees are wonderful people taking care of everything. You can use the kitchen and terrasse. It's very clean and the beds are comfortable. Hospitality is unmatched.. if you behave you might even get homemade cookies. Nothing
- Hanane (10/5): Exceptional - I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hostel! A huge thank you to Ziad and Nour for their exceptional service and warm hospitality. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel so welcome and were always available to assist with anything I needed. Their kindness and attention to detail really stood out. The hostel itself had such a positive, relaxed vibe that made my experience even better. I was also impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. A big thank you to Ziad and Nour once again for making my stay so special. You truly made the difference, and I can't recommend this place enough!
- Masheder (8/5): Very good -
- Deren (10/5): I love you Chance 💖 - The cat! Chance the black cat was the most loving cat I’ve seen. The beds were really nice. Noora was super lovely and helpful.
- Taylor (9/5): Loving people and staff very helpful - The staff and meeting other travellers was great and the cat chance is the boss! That's for the hospitality x
- Natalino (8/5): Very good -
- Lahcen (10/5): It was a wonderful stay at Peekaboo - The customer service was very good, we enjoyed our stay! Everything was in order so no cons.
- Clarice (8/5): Very good -

- Khaoula (10/5): Can’t wait to return! ❤️ - I had a wonderful stay at Peekaboo. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The rooms are beautifully decorated, felt exactly like home providing a cozy experience. The location was also ideal, making it easy to explore the area, especially Jamâa Elfna. And what I loved about it most is being pet friendly, the dog and cat they have there were just the cutest. I would definitely recommend this hostel.
- Khaoula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Digitalboat (7/5): Nice place for a quick stay - Style and host One toilet for all
- Valentin (7/5): Good - The rooftop is really nice and we liked the less touristic location inside the city The kitchen was full of dirty plates during the whole stay.
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Chun (9/5): Great value - Friendly staff! They are amazing and introduce everything once I arrive at the hostel. Beds and duvet are really comfy. Close to the medina and around 10 minutes of walking. It's a little bit too quiet at night and I hope they'll get a door sign in the future.
- Roua (8/5): Very good - the stuffs are very nice ad place is very clean. they are welling to help. just you can here the noise outside from the street
- Mikołaj (9/5): Superb - Very good location with friendly staff. The local cat was amazing 🐯
- Isla (10/5): perfect :) - it feels very homey and comfortable and is very clean. the rooftop is perfect for getting some sun or for stargazing at night :) the location is great and my most favourite thing about the hostel is Chance the cat!
- Jennifer (4/5): More a private residence stuffed with beds than a hostel - Good price, good location Less a hostel and more a couple of bunk bed put in a single family residence. The hostel worker was also sleeping in the same room as me where she listened to her phone without headphones. The "hostel" also had no enforced rules or bedtime so obnoxious younger tourists came in very at late, speaking very loudly and argued with an older person that told them to keep it down waking the whole (tiny) hostel. There were European tourists smoking in all semi-open spaces. I was put on the top tier of a 3 tier bunk with no railing. There is also a free roaming cat and dog that you will inevitably step on in the dark.
- Marcela (9/5): Superb -
- Marcela (8/5): Very good - It was close to the centre, many different and interesting places. Noise coming from the streets, but I guess it is like that in most places in Medina due to a lot of motorcycles and cars driving around day and night.
- Marcela (1/5): Bad - Nothing The place is too noisy, the girl who greeted me was rude, the surrounding area didn't make me feel safe.
- Sally (9/5): Would definitely recommend! - Amazing location, lovely host!
Also very cute animals living there ;) Bunk bed was a bid wobbly to climb down - but who can complain with that price?
- Katia (8/5): Cute Hostel - I really enjoyed my short stay at Peekaboo Hostel, Houde was a lovely host which helped me with everything I needed. Thank you so much! The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious enough. There are also a cute dog and a smart cat that add extra cuteness to the stay. :) This room face a main road that could get busy, better to use some earplugs.
- Christopher (9/5): Perfect play to stay when you’re in Marrakech - Really nice and welcoming host!
- Hurley (9/5): Superb - Ideal for solo women travellers. Safe and comfortable homelike atmosphere. Friendly local neighbourhood.
- Aysu (8/5): Nice economical option - It is clean and has a nice location, close proximity to medina. Host were welcoming and helpful. It is not the most comfortable of places but it is definitely worth is value.
- Khuyen (10/5): Highly recommended - The bed is comfortable
The owner is kind and hospitable
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional - The place is wonderful, accessible and very clean.
Well equipped.
The crew is very friendly 😍
- Derhourhi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Fatima and Houda are really kind and helpful. They helped us with everything needed during our stay . The hostel is near the city centre which is really helpful for exploring Marrakesh. We fully recommend it !
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - The staff is soo lovely and helpfull, we really enjoyed our stay!
- Jeffrey (9/5): Friendly and relaxing for the Marrakech medina - Small and relaxed hostel, not as busy as some of the other Marrakech options. I had a fantastic sleep, despite some noise from the street, which doesn’t bother me but might bother others. Small rooftop deck was pleasant to relax a little after a lot of walking.
- Maciek (10/5): Great experience, hosts were very friendly (especially Chance), Good location and easy to get anywhere. Cheap and cheerf -
- Iñigo (3/5): Very nice staff, very poor experience - Centrally located. The members of the staff were very nice, I am grateful for their kindness and their very warm welcome upon arrival. We felt welcomed, we appreciated the niceness of the staff. The good location and the graciousness of the staff earns them some credit, however there were other several things that we didn't like. The most important downside was that we booked a twin room, and we were given a double room. A twin room by definition is a room with two separate, small beds. As soon as I booked, I sent a quick message to the property to ensure that we were provided with a twin room, just like we booked, but they said they were giving us "a room with a king bed". I called Booking.com to better understand if I made a mistake myself when booking it, but Booking.com said I reserved a twin room correctly, so they called the property. After the call, Booking.com told me that finally the hostel agreed to provide us a twin room with two separate beds. However, to my surprise, when we arrived we found that the small room had only one bed, and IT WAS NOT A KING SIZE BED. Not even a queen bed, it was just a double bed. Very disappointed. Then there were other issues, like there were no towels, so we asked the staff, and they provided one large very wet towel, and another very small toilet towel. Moreover, the corridor just outside the room was very noise during the night, making it difficult to sleep. Lastly, on Booking.com the indicated check-out time is 2pm, but we were asked to checkout at noon. We showed the staff a photo with Booking.com's official check-out time being 2pm but they still asked us to leave at 12:00. All in all, many issues in a very brief period of time, therefore I can't recommend it.
