• Nicolas (1/5): Unsafe, misleading apartment with dishonest landlord - The apartment is well-situated, making it convenient to access the main attractions of the city. Public transportation is nearby, and the neighborhood has plenty of restaurants and shops. The negative aspects of this apartment are unfortunately numerous and significant. Contrary to what the "4-room" listing suggests, there is no actual living room! The apartment is in fact split into two completely separate sections, requiring guests to cross a dangerous so-called "terrace" to move from one section to the other. This improvised terrace is actually just a converted rooftop, without adequate railings or appropriate safety measures, presenting a real danger for everyone, especially children. The layout is therefore not only misleading but also dangerous, and this bizarre configuration was never mentioned in the listing. The two bedrooms separated by this dangerous terrace make daily use of the apartment particularly uncomfortable, especially with children. Many of the bedroom windows are either blind (facing a wall) or non-existent, giving a claustrophobic feeling and poor ventilation. The absence of a common living space (living room) forces everyone to crowd into the bedrooms or kitchen for social moments, which is far from the expected comfort. The installations also present concerning safety issues: the electrical system is visibly non-compliant, with poorly secured outlets in some places. A persistent gas smell coming from the boiler was artificially masked by multiple incense diffusers - an obvious attempt to conceal a potentially dangerous problem. The most disappointing aspect remains the landlord's behavior, which was blatantly dishonest. Not satisfied with presenting accommodations that don't match their description, they subsequently attempted to charge us completely unjustified additional fees (€500 for a simple broken cup!), without even conducting a check-out inspection. I strongly advise against this apartment whose description is misleading, which presents safety risks, and whose owner demonstrates unacceptable dishonesty.
• Costin (10/5): Spacious, well-located and family-friendly - Ideal for two families with grown-up kids, this apartment offers a spacious terrace and kitchen, perfect for gathering and planning your next day’s adventures. The location is excellent, just a 10-15 minute walk to two main train stations and nestled between two key walking routes through the old town. Local delicacies can be found at Piazzeta Forcella nearby. The thoughtful touches, including good coffee, a welcoming Prosecco, soft drinks, and water, were much appreciated. Our host was very kind and helpful every step of our stay. Thank you for the early morning taxi solution.👍 The building entrance and stairs may appear a bit dim and not in the best condition, as they could benefit from collaborative improvements among neighbors. However, the apartment more than makes up for this with its warm, welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness. This is the state of all Napoli, and as we can't judge the book by its covers I changed my review from 9 to 10 as we are here to rate the property, not the whole block. Almost forgot: the Boiler in one of the rooms is very noisy and needs service or change.
• James (10/5): A very, very good stay. Great apartment and very friendly, accommodating and warm hosts. - Location was extremely central and very close to restaurants, shopping, sites and local metro and central station. The apartment, bedrooms, living room, kitchen and showers were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with lots of that you’d need for your stay. The hosts were also very welcoming and provided us with very informative advice for places to visit in Naples. They also were very accommodating for our late arrival near midnight and waited for us so that we could check in late at night with no issue. They also provided us with a free bottle of Coca Cola and Prosecco, which was very generous and going above and beyond what we’d otherwise expect. The Coca Cola was great for a drink after a long flight and the Prosecco we were happy to use with our own bought Aperol to have a very nice Aperol Spritz for our last night in Naples, which was a great way to finish the holiday. A very nice stay and everything was perfect. There were some issues with some of the keys being jammed. But the hosts and owners were extremely quick to resolve the issues and handled them on the same day. The hosts and the owners were very prompt and so even when issues did pop up, we always felt not worried, confident and reassured that they’d solve the issues quickly and thoroughly.
