nice location
host (gary) on our arrival was very helpful

Gemütliches, zweckmässig eingerichtetes Zimmer
- Fred (7/5): Sans grand confort pour le prix - L’emplacement et l’amabilité du gérant Chambre petite, sombre, basique.
Trop cher pour la prestation
- Jan Michael (10/5): - Nice staff, AC was working fine. Spacious room Nothing
- Stephanie (9/5): -
- Alexandra (8/5): - It was a swift check in, my room was on the ground floor which was great, fridge/freezer, TV, air con in the room, towels provided, they loaned me a kettle. There is a supermarket just around the corner, 10 minutes walk to the nearest subway, great location.
- Leyla (7/5): -

- Bulaong (10/5): Conforblep - Nice Clean
- Anonymous (9/5): Good - Located in the Downtown, near public transport and affordable for a quick travel. The bathroom is slightly small but not a big deal if you just came there to explore the city, and not travelling as a large group.
- Anonymous (9/5): Great value for where you are - Does exactly what it says on the packet. Not flash but very comfortable and serviceable for what I needed. Owner made real effort to accommodate my early arrival. Just fantastic location easy walk to City Centre in a great neighbourhood. Nothing really would have no hesitation in going back.

- John (8/5): It worked really well for us. - Parking, especially the snow clearing during and after snow storms. A kettle to make coffee or tea.
- Charles (1/5): Bad - Close to area wanted to be in No heating
No response from person in charge
Had to sleep with clothes on
- Arsenije (7/5): For that price its okay -
- Henry (6/5): Two Night Stay - location, and staff was friendly couldn't control heat in room, it was very warm and uncomfortable at night.
- Kate (8/5): Very good -
- Christos (4/5): Low key central in Toronto - Location. Close to downtown Toronto Very basic accommodation, on Booking under different name I was wondering if I was scammed when I arrived and did not find Ada’s House but “Keppner”..?? Or something like that!
- Natalia (9/5): Superb - Polite, welcoming and proactive host. Excellent location, close to the subway station and many landmarks. Very quiet and peaceful. The room was a bit cold.
- Carol (7/5): Good -
- Ivar (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (8/5): Very good -
- Dominik (7/5): Good - Nice location in Toronto downtown for perfect price. Housekeeper was super nice and ready to help with anything.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (7/5): No frills, did the job. - Despite technically being in downtown it was a long way from attractions.
- Joel (7/5): Good -
- Martin (10/5): Highly recommend for a convenient and affordable stay - Great location in downtown Toronto, quiet and private room with all that is needed. Host was super friendly and answered all my requests promptly and kindly. Definitely highly recommend!
- Joven (9/5): Very good - Location None.
- Lacey (4/5): Not the best overall stay for me and my partner personally but the booking does show the room layout - We were able to walk to the Royal Ontario Museum and a wonderful breakfast spot. Accommodations provided necessary things such as bed and bathroom. Property manager was easy to be reached via telephone and asked if we needed house keeping after 2 days as they note in room and met us at the door. He showed us the room and parking spot. Although place has no smoking sign it had a hazy smell to it. Shower did not have a light so we had to shower in the dark unless we pulled curtain back to see. You can park here but have to pay $15 per day, which booking was up front about but we didn’t know how small parking would be. Layout is like apartment building. If you choose to do laundry you have to pay for it.
- Olha (9/5): Superb -
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good - Great location very quiet for being so close to the busy streets
- Sean (7/5): Good -
- Roger (9/5): Clean place - Good location, Gary is available for any concern, I stay there few times now when traveling to Roronto
- Anastasiia (8/5): Very good -
- Splatters (9/5): Huge room close to center - Perfect position. 10 minutes to Metro Bloor-younge. Some markets are 5 minutes walk. Room really big. Silence. Perfect stay. Bed was big and comfortable. Shower quite dark when curtain are closed. They should put some a white transparent one instead of dark. Need better illumination in the bathroom. Not a staying problem.
- Zhi (1/5): Bad - The room is small and it's facilities are old and damaged. The price and performance ratio is unbelievable low.
- Paul (8/5): It's a well-located simple base as an alternative to expensive hotels - It is centrally located with quick access to downtown and major arteries. This is a minimalist European-style guest house. It is a late Victorian conversion with no frills. If you are looking for a simple base from which to venture out, and you don't want to pay for overpriced hotels, consider this place. Pay the $15/day for parking behind the building. Street parking is metered and enforced, with few available spots by evening. I got lost on the way, and the proprietor stayed on the phone and directed me in - he is kind and very hard-working. It is relaxing and quiet in the evening. The pipes are old and loud (kinda like me) and the bathroom was cramped, which is not surprising for its age. The wooden floors need some work. The steep staircase can be a challenge for bad knees.
- Ouifaq (9/5): Superb - The place was clean, convenient and budget friendly for a downtown Toronto stay. The check-in was not smooth. Although we advised our arrival time, we had to wait at the door because there was no one to let us in. We had to call couple phone numbers posted on the door before someone came .
- Roger (10/5): GOOD PLACE, PARKING AVAILABLE $$, GERRY ALWAYS AVAILABLE - SITUATION IS GREAT AND GERRY IS AN EXCELLENT HOST IT WAS A BIT COOL
- Alexander (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (8/5): Comfortable and cost-effective accommodation. - Comfortable and cost-effective accommodation.
A short Uber ride to key attractions.
Owner communicates well and is easy to contact. I didn't have any concerns or problems with the property.
Everything worked, and it was a comfortable stay.
- Meng (8/5): Not a venue for business travellers but perfect for short visit. - While not exactly central, it is still in a convenient area close to public transportations.
This is not a hotel standard accommodation so lower your expectations. It does have a microwave, fridge, tv and hairdryer.
The highlight of my stay comes from the service of the property manager, Gary. I gone back to the room one midnight a little tipsy and forgot the PIN code as well as lost the room key. Didn’t help that it was snowing. But I called Gary at 2 am and he rushed through the snow to let me in. He was so understanding about the whole situation. The heating cannot be adjusted. It got so hot, I had to open the windows to the cold air in.
- Katrina (9/5): Great location and value for money. - Great room overlooking street, location and value for money. Great coffee shop around corner for breakfast. The property was great just didn’t like the disrespectful guests who thought it was appropriate to have long loud conversation in their room and on the street at 3am
- Steve (8/5): Clean and easy! - Location was great for visiting my family
- Michelle (4/5): Disappointing -
- Cyress (5/5): Passable -
- Narwal (6/5): Pleasant - Location uncomfortable, old, inadequate wasroom space, poor thermoregulation
- Siham (8/5): Nice place - Tidy an clean - The place was better than expectew
The manager was really nice and helpful
And best thing was everything was sparkling clean
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Great location, very clean and tidy. Super helpful it had a guest laundry area also. Exact coins required for laundry
- Roland (7/5): Good - Nice place to stay. Not cheap, but for central Toronto it's good value.
- Oliv (9/5): Will keep coming back for Ada's! - Very conveniently located, with Sherboure Subway, 2 big groceries n many eateries all within a few minutes' walk.
Gary is a super nice guy running the guest house. Brighter lighting for reading.
- Gregory (8/5): Very good - Was exactly what I expected based upon the listing. Manager was friendly, room.was very clean and orderly. Parking was affordable and convenient
- Jean-sébastien (5/5): Passable -
- Birgit (10/5): Exceptional - Loved location and room had sparkling clean sheets. Nothing
- Paul (4/5): Poor advertising and poor value for the money - Good location, close to the subway, and close to the things he wanted to visit When we reached the address of the guest house, we found a boarded up building. We fouiner the number for the Guesthouse and discovered that it had moved years before to a different location but this information was not updated on the website.
We also had to pay a much higher than expected rate, because the advertised rate did not include taxes
- Gillian (3/5): Would not return - Convenient for subway. We booked Ada’s Guesthouse in Linden St, when checking it was another house in Huntley St with no proper sign outside; just a bit of paper in the window with another name on it. The bed on the first night was very old and could feel the springs. We had to put 2 blankets under the sheet. The second room given the bed was comfortable. Gary was helpful & let us leave our luggage. No kettle in the room but mugs & glasses. No milk or teabags, crockery or cutlery Fortunately there’s a supermarket around the corner. Room had good size fridge & microwave. Overall the rooms were clean but the shower in the second room had a lot to be desired. We felt the house is a HMO/ student accommodation. It was quiet but warm and stuffy. Washing machine good. It’s a very tired, dated house. Not sure when we booked Ada’s how we ended up with this property…. I can guess… took a walk around the corner to where Ada’s is and it’s all boarded up.
- Oliv (8/5): Repeat bookings for 20 years. Suiting almost all my needs. - Quiet m privacy. Sherbourne Subway station, large supermarkets, Circle K, 7/11, Tim Houtan, and 24-hr McDonald all nearby. No open view.
- Norm (5/5): The price was so reasonable compared to many places I read about. Just wish a few niceties were add - Convenient location in a quiet neighbourhood. Easy walk from Sunnybrook Holland Orthopaedic Hospital where my wife was. No coffee/tea facilities or supplies. The step down from the bathroom was about 18" with no warning markings; very dangerous for using the bathroom during the night.
- Scott (6/5): A bit pricey for what it is but overall it’s OK - The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is really good, lots of stores and food places within walking distance, the metro stations are also easily walkable to.
The place is pretty much a big old house converted into a guest stay, the rooms are very spacious and contain decent facilities such as a fridge and microwave. There was a TV which was quite small and far away from the bed but it did have live channels and Netflix on. Everything seemed to be clean enough. The rooms could really do with a bit of a makeover / bringing up to date. They really don’t feel very cosy at all especially with how spacious they are, this wasn’t really an issue for me as I didn’t spend much time in the room though. The bathroom especially could do with a bit of an upgrade, although it was clean it didn’t feel very nice to use as it was so dated. Shower was so tiny and I hit my head when I was getting out, using the bathroom in general is pretty difficult especially if you’re on the bigger side.
Despite these issues though, they really didn’t affect my stay much. If you need a place to sleep and shower whilst visiting Toronto this will do fine. Just watch your head when using the shower.
- Pedro (8/5): Great value for money in a great location - Great staff, easy to communicate. Spacious rooms and great location. The room is a bit old.
- Ashley (7/5): Good -
- Mathias (9/5): Great location and good value - Spacious room, and easy to check in
Bed looks good as new, very firm mattress Pillows are a bit thin, especially for sleeping on a very firm mattress
- Miguel (6/5): Pleasant - Good location and price. Friendly and helpeful staff. Small room. Bathroom not clean.
- Jade (6/5): Would recommend but cleanliness needs to be improved - Brilliant location, within 10 mins walk of 2 subways.
Good size room and value for money The facilities were slightly lacking ie no kettle (but mugs were provided).
Shower curtain smelt quite strongly and overall cleanliness could have been a lot better.
- Dkoziol097 (4/5): Disappointing - Staff was super nice, location wonderful You cannot pay for parking place with card/bank transfer. Doors to rooms are in bed condition you can hear whole house and light from the hallway enters your room. Shower had super low water pressure and whole bathroom was rather dirty
- Roger (9/5): It was my 7 times at that place - good location. parking available $$, clean
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Suhyb (5/5): Passable -
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorota (6/5): Pleasant -
- Warwick (6/5): Pleasant -
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Xiaorui (6/5): Old small house with good location - Old house but good location, staff is nice. Near to bloor street. The house is old, our room is small and the bed is old and noisy, bathroom is super small, the toilet area is too small my boyfriend can barely fits it.
- Miguel (8/5): Very good - Excellent location (near downtown and subway stations, friendly neighborhood). Great price/location relationship. Attentive and friendly staff. Easy to check in and check out. Comfortable bed. Very large room.
- Merhawi (8/5): Very good - I like the staff. the price was a bit expensive compared to the standards.
- Tighearnan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (8/5): good location close to down town toronto - no breakfast at all
