- Thomas (10/5): - The garden was very pretty. I liked it was dog friendly. It feels very secluded. The stars at night were bright. It’s close to a lot but quietly off the beaten path. The water had a sulfur smell but I know that’s common with wells.
- Deidre (10/5): Lovely place with everything we needed - Very pretty. Loved sitting out with the bunnies Bedroom carpet
- Lisa M. (10/5): Private AND Convenient - It was wonderfully private yet convenient to town. The gardens are a bit overgrown but that was okay with me.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - We loved how private it was yet it was so close to town.
Loved the enclosed porch. The grounds and yard could use some upkeep; it was a little overgrown
- Dave (10/5): A Perfect spot in the Country, we wish we could have stayed longer. - It was well designed and very accommodating. Two porches/patios (one screened in), the walk-through bathroom, the garden/lawn, and the loft were all very nice. It was quiet and secluded. The kitchen was stocked with Everything you'd need and Overall it was like a home away from home. Any questions were promptly responded to. There was very little Not to Like.
- Welcher (8/5): We enjoyed our stay immensely. We would suggest that a gardener be hired to clean up the property. - The cottage was very comfortable and contained all you would really need for a nice stay. Being able to bring a large dog with us was a huge plus. BUT I would only recommend bringing a pet like ours that obeys when you call, no matter how great the woodsy smells are. I was disappointed that the 2nd bedroom was upstairs. We are all over 70 and the stairs were difficult for 3 out of 4 of us.
Also, the location was very difficult to find. The address is 3290 Skyline Dr, but the location of the cabin is actually on PineView, just off Skyline Dr. We actually knocked on a couple doors in the immediate area, and a kind woman directed us to the turn we needed. She told us, she often has to direct people to the PineView turn as there is no indication that the cabin is hiding just down PineView.
- Jim (10/5): great property, clean and quite - wifi was included in the rental, John was a great host and very helpful with answering questions nothing everything was great
- Maya (10/5): Amazing fully equiped cottage with large garden and pond, quiet, next to Keuka lake - a dream home. - This cottage is amazing, it is fully equipped, includes a deck with grill, a screened porch, and is situated midst in a large surroundings with garden, lawn and trees. An absolute highlight is the house's own pond where you walk around or sit in the adirondack chairs to see and hear frogs, watch bunnies jumping around and grazing, and observe birds. This rental and its setting is quiet and beautiful, just a dream. The cottage is at the Keuka lake and 10' from Penn Yan, with shopping, wine tasting locations, restaurants, boat renting and more. The location is a short drive from Watkins Glen State Park with its 19 waterfalls, other natural wonders and lakes, and about 1hr drive from the wonderful Corning Museum of Glass. what else can you dream of for a relaxing vacation. - Esther (9/5): Wonderful stay! Highly recommend!! -
- Julie (7/5): Very cute, quaint little cottage. - Such a quaint little cottage, I loved the paths through all the flowers and bushes, I felt like I was in a fairytale story. The owner was very responsive and worked with us. There was an issue with the previous guests leaving a little late, so the cleaners were still there even though we had requested an early check-in. Which we realized wasn't the owner's fault. Anyhow, they allowed us to come in and put our refrigerator stuff away before they were ready for us so it didn't go bad. The only issue we had was the water. There was an off-putting smell to it, and the water pressure was horrible. My morning showers took twice as long just trying to get all the shampoo and conditioner rinsed out of my hair. Oddly, the last morning we were there was the best water pressure we had the whole stay.
- Mercedes (8/5): Very good -
- Janelle (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, spacious, private and secluded. The overgrown weeds all around the house, no TV in the bedroom, the location pin- when traveling from afar it puts you at the neighbors house.
