Guest Reviews
- Virginia (8/5): Very good - Cozy and clean
- Ashleigh (8/5): Nice stay - It was a good location, good spaces and bedrooms decent size for price paid. Adorable cottage thst we will probably use again in future. Main light in first left bedroom didnt work, and it was so cold when we entered. It was lovely when the heaters all started working but would be a nice touch if they were turned on to warm up before guests arrived.
- Kate (9/5): Lovely place to stay. - Loved the cosy feel, good match of old but modern facilities. Very homey. Driveway took some courage and towels could be bigger (but understand this probably makes them more attractive to steal).
- Chris (10/5): Comfortable, Clean and Cosy. - The property was a wonderful mix of modern and original . The bathroom is very roomy with an amazing bath, a nice modern kitchen including dishwasher , while the rest of the house has original touches such as fireplaces and timber paneled walls. It has two air conditioners that keep it warm and snug. Beds are extremely warm and comfortable. The light in the master bedroom was out. That is the only fault I could find.
- Justin (9/5): Easy, great place. Quaint Antique Retreat - Easy, great place, clean. Everything was there and as it should be. Just good, well prepared.
- Irina (9/5): Superb - It was a good escape option for a winter holidays. Cold outside, plenty of heaters and warm duvets inside, very clean and cozy stay, absolutely recommended. Close to railroads - in the middle of night it was a bit surprising to hear the train moving
- Morgan (10/5): Exceptional -

- Deborah (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (1/5): Did not get the chance to enjoy, as I said through no fault of the owners so we are awaiting a refund. - ? Due to no fault of the owners we were not supplied with access to the keys to the property. A phone call to the owner to alert us to the issue was not received until after we had made alternate arrangements. It was 39 degrees Celsius and we had been of the road for 7 hours.
- Belinda (9/5): Enjoyable. - Clean, comfortable, convenient and great facilities. Noise from the trains
- Roxane (9/5): A quaint yet thoroughly modern antique cottage! - Dry comfortable and close to town.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Lovely house, loved the little added extras. - Property was lovely and homely, comfortable beds and very clean. A larger couch would be nice.
- Dave (9/5): Lovely house in Bathurst - Big house, well appointed. Renovation seems recent. Noise from trains, though it was no great problem. Luckily it was not too hot but ceiling fans would be useful.
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - The house was like a home from home, clean tidy and welcoming. Everything was exceptional.
- Deborah (9/5): Superb - It was comfortable clean. Had everything you need for a long stay.
- Beverley (9/5): Superb - The driveway rather awkward

- Angela (10/5): Wonderful home, perfect place to stay for a weekend in bathurst, great hosts will definitely return. in - Great place to stay, everything you need supplied. Very cosy and well kept home. Trains. But that was only a few, then didnt notice them.
- Tristan (8/5): Sweet period retreat, nicely updated, all mod cons, very comfortable for oyr family stay to Bathurst! Will definitely bo - Sweet period cottage, nicely renovated, very comfortable and cute. Lovely experience for our short stay in Bathurst! Some cards or board game would be nice, a couple of coffee table books to peruse, and a coffee table or side table to sit a glass of Mudgee wine on ;). Additional bedside lamp in master as it’s too dark to read in bed. I reckon swap the dining table to outside bathroom and put 2 chairs under window near kitchen with modem table in between for little seating area.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home with everything you could want Nothing to complain about
- Bill (8/5): Very good -
- Tara (9/5): It was amazing! Such a cute house. - Couldn't see any salt and pepper. That's all!
- Flowersja (9/5): Great stay! - Very comfortable
- Aroha (10/5): Great we’ll set up cottage - Loved the cottage and the way it was set up and presented.
Check in and all communication with owners was easy and pleasant.
Kitchen was well equipped and house was very comfortable and clean.
We would recommend staying here.
- Yingting (9/5): Overall was great - Good location , heating is great Only one bathroom
- Emma (9/5): A beautiful home in Bathurst to stay several nights. - The house was modern, cozy and had everything we could need and more. The beds were comfortable and the bath tub was lux. Loved the kitchen. Rooms were a generous size. Wished we could have stayed more than just the one night Would have loved a dryer to get our clothes dried, being cold they wouldn't have dried overnight so we didn't bother washing. No heating in the bedrooms but the split systems in the living areas kept us warm provided the bedroom doors were left open. The driveway is very steep, we were able to back our trailer in but without wheel chocks it would have been a bit dicey leaving it unhitched. A bit of noise from the train tracks across the road but we are used to train noises so it didn't bother us that much.
- Leanne (8/5): Overall beautiful cottage - Quality furnishings and looks beautiful Trains at night across the road. Very loud in bedrooms.
- Kathleen (7/5): Good - Facilities were great, house was cute and more than adequate. Had everything we needed. While not city centre, was very close to everything Right beside the train line. Fortunately the trains were not too loud or frequent, but I would not recommend for light sleepers.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (8/5): Very good - location was great and the accommodation was clean and comfortable maybe a lounge chair and side table or two would add to the amenity of the property
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Has obviously been renovated and is beautiful in every room. They have done a great job making us feel at home away from home. Beds were lovely.
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (10/5): Antique Retreat - a home away from home. - The retreat house was very lovely. It was a home away from home. It had everything that we needed for the weekend. Everyone had their own space & we could come together when we needed. The driveway was a little steep, but by the end of the stay was feeling more confident & comfortable driving up it.
- Kerrie (9/5): Very happy with our stay, would probably stay again if we are in Bathurst. - The house was lovely.
The drive way was challenging.
Very close to town.
Owners were very easy to deal with. It would be great if there was a mirror in the master bedroom and some hanging space.
It ended up being a very cool night and there were no extra blankets that we could find.
The lighting in the bathroom could be brighter for doing make up. Not a big issue.
- Kevin (8/5): Very enjoyable stay at the Antique Retreat - Cleanliness, facilities and comfort. Minor issues with two of the three TV's
- Lisa (10/5): What a beautiful little find! - Antique Retreat was amazing. Exactly what we needed to be comfortable whilst in town for a family celebration.
The cottage was beautiful. A very thorough renovation on a beautiful old house made our time here so comfortable we didn't want to leave.
Nikki was a fantastic host, assisting when booking platform had gremlins with check-in details.
- Glenda (8/5): Bathurst road trip - Easy, comfortable, clean. Beds were great. Shower too! No rail on front steps. Also suggest the front fly screen should open other the way. My elderly aunt was very unsure walking around flyscreen door, next to edge of verandah. Or a rail around the verandah, to give people safety.
Secondly, mirrors in wardrobe are placed too short..kids height! If they could be moved up, it would be fabulous.
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
