- Peter (5/5): - Eine Flasche 0,7 l Mineralwasser mit Gas 8 dólar☹️
- Uwe (8/5): - Freundliches Personal. Sehr gepflegte Anlage und super Blick. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

Tolles Frühstück
Nettes Personal, leider teilweise kein Englisch- nur spanisch
Tolle Umgebung
- Katharina (6/5): Disappointing - The location is excellent There was not a warm welcome. We had been to the same hotel 2 years ago. We made a point to go there again because the Cambodian owner was very welcoming and helpful. The food used to be very good. We were quite disappointed by the dinner. All ingredients were of poor quality. We had paid for 2 nights and we left after 1 night.
- Wanda (7/5): Prachtige omgeving, ruime kamers.
- Kathleen (7/5): The view when it was not cloudy was spectacular. - The breakfast was very good and the fresh fruit was delicious. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The room was clean and basic.
- Beth (10/5): Great stay for a relaxing time - The hotel is cozy and has beautiful grounds we were able to enjoy. The on site restaurant was good and the breakfast had a wide variety. The rooms were comfy and clean. I will be back! Nothing
- Rowan (9/5): Beautiful hotel, excellent views, very relaxing. Lots of rainbows. - Great views. Lovely garden. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast. Good for doing yoga. Dinner selection small and didnt change. Roof over room doors short so during rain it’s a bit wet.
- Robert (10/5): Lovely, lovely place - Special place. We had had a stressful bus trip to arrive, but instantly relaxed when we saw the beautiful view. Nice room, great staff, good food - the breakfast was very generous. Santa Fe is a little spread out, but you can walk to stores and restaurants. The hotel serves Cambodian food Wednesday to Sunday and it was very good. There are a lot of biting insects in the area and you don’t see them!
- Tomáš (8/5): - Krásný výhled
Milý personál
Výborné snídaně
- Prokop (4/5): Don't go during the low season - The location is extraordinary. We loved to sit on the porch enjoy the view over the lush valley and mountains. The breakfast was fresh, rich and tasty. There was virtually no service. The woman at the reception did not know about our reservation, gave us a different room than reserved and did not have any information about activities or the tours the hotel advertised. The manager was never to be seen and nobody spoke a single word in English. An email enquiry sent several weeks in advance about hiking tours was never answered. The room was not cleaned in the morning and neither towels nor bedclothes were replaced. We understand we visited during the low season and we were the only guests but still we would have expected a minimal level of hospitality, also given the hefty price tag for such a simple hotel.
- emilie (10/5): Allez y !
Rien
- Michael (9/5): Ruhiges Fleckchen zum Entspannen und Wandern! - Gute Lage mit Ausblick in die Berge. Sehr schöne und gepflegte Gartenanlage, außergewöhnlich gutes Frühstück! Sehr gutes Essen im Restaurant (Mo u. Di leider geschlossen).
- Lorenzo (9/5): - Beautiful location. Nothing. Everything was great.
- Paula (9/5): Lovely stay in beautiful Sante Fe - Service was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. View and gardens were stunning. Very peaceful setting. Thank you for everything!
- Díaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Lovely place, magnificent food - A splendid location in the cool hills around Santa Fe, right next to the stunning national park. The gardens are lovely and the Cambodian style food is magnificent. Friendly helpful staff make this the perfect place to stay in a town known for hiking and birdwatching.
- Mathieu (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and helpful staff, amazing place and view. Excellent food (from breakfast to dinner).
Very good recommendations for a guided night jungle "safari" with Edgar.
We loved everything !!!
- Dave (9/5): A quiet place to enjoy a beautiful town. - View / Food/ services awesome! I didn't want to leave- we will be back ❤️
- Morris (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful landscape and unobstructed views. We loved walking through the gardens. Rooms are simple but clean and pleasant. Our mattress was ok, a bit springy. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order and they serve delicious dinners at reasonable prices. I will stay here again if I come back to Santa Fe.
- Mark (8/5): Gorgeous area, but use bug spray! - The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The location is beautiful. Well maintained gardens and property. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The area is absolutely beautiful, but the road getting to Santa Fe is absolutely terrible. That does not take away from the hotel, however. It took us almost 3 hours to drive 52 kms. Remember that this is a very humid area, and the biting bugs are terrible. I did not see mosquitoes but still got bit by no-see-ums about 100 times in the 3 days we were there.
- Monica (6/5): Mwah... - Staff pretty uninterested, food not very exciting especially since we expected Cambodian food, wine extremely expensive (price list in room is apparently an old one, in the restaurant the bottle was 10 dollars more so count on 35 a bottle).
The bed is much smaller than expected as it mentions "room with extra large bed" but it's only a queen size.
Pillows fall out of the bed because the bed is open at the back and not against a wall.
The room is pretty outdated for the price level.
- Kath (8/5): / / - Beautiful, stunning views and garden. Surrounded by nature. Very quiet and peaceful. Staff were lovely, but may not speak much English. They prepare you a good breakfast
and the food in the evening was great. This is no reflection on the hotel, but the road from Santiago to Santa Fé is appalling(January 2025) It took over 2hrs. to go 57km. It is full of deep potholes which you have to dodge,/ or the surface is gravel. They are supposedly resurfacing, but the locals say that it has been going on for months.
- Brian (10/5): Beautiful boutique hotel of peace. - This is a beautiful gem located in a quiet and serene area. The staff was fantastic, the food was great and the garden beautiful. This is a peaceful place to rest your soul! The only drawback is getting there. Road 33 is horrific and is best driven with an off road vehicle. We had a sedan and we had to dodge huge potholes and non paved roads for most of the way. Warning: 33 is the only road in or out of Santa Fe. On the way out towards David, google maps took us down 33 to an off road area that we got our car stuck in. Be careful and use Waze
- John (9/5): Great place. Great location. Great staff. - Beautiful location. Amazing view outside your door. Great breakfast.
- Ed (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (8/5): Wonderful - The breakfast was incredible. The freshest fruit , crepes , eggs , homemade jams and bread, fresh squeezed juice, French press coffee - way above and beyond expectations. The location is amazing , wedged into a tropical paradise. While rooms had all amenities to cook and would quote a long term stay , the rooms had a “ home built “ style and so need to have an open mind if you are expecting “USA” standards. They were charming though.
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vannesa (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): We love it - The view, garden and breakfast are awesome.
Graciela and Odilka deserve special thank you! Beautiful smiles and attention to my wife and I that we did not expect. Well done ladies!
- Lawrence (10/5): Very relaxing with beautiful sights to see. - Breathtaking beauty and very quiet. Bishop, Oldika and Obaldina were very gracious and helpful. We took a tour of Jhon and Maria’s Organic farm which was fascinating. The road to Santa Fe is quite rough.
- Curtis (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful setting. Nice and well trained staff. Great Cambodian food for dinner which was a pleasant surprise.
- James (7/5): Good -
- Joem (10/5): Wonderful stay in tiny Santa Fe! - Wonderful view (see photo), and the food, especially dinner, was very good. I ate dinner all three nights I stayed there, and the menu changed daily. The staff was super helpful, arranging a tour and transportation to the Finca Organica de Maria y Chon for lunch one day, and a ride to Santiago with William. The chitras (no-see-ums) were bad in the evening. Not the hotel's fault, but do bring insect repellent, I never saw one but their bites hurt.
- Robert (9/5): Location and view were excellent. Everyone was very happy and nice, always greeted you with a smile. - Nice service by staff. Tasty and fresh.
- Gemma (10/5): Un gran lugar donde hospedarse en Santa Fe - Anachoreo Hotel is small, quaint and peaceful. All the rooms have a beautiful view of the mountains. The breakfast is excellent and inclusive in the room price. We had dinner every night there and it was fabulous. The personnel is so attentive of the guest needs. The morning front desk lady, Ines, was extremely helpful in organizing the activities we wanted to do. Would definitively recommend it. Everything was excellent
- Patrick (9/5): Spectacular view - Spectacular view, good breakfast, comfy rooms, good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again. The rooms in the main building are airy and bright and delightful, but the self-catering 2-bedroom cottage is a dark and the beds aren’t comfy. We switched from cottage to a regular room after one night, and had a great stay.
- William (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sonja (8/5): Friendly intimate B&B with the best view in Santa Fe - The view is magnificent, nice friendly staff and big enough rooms. Information about the area and suggestions for hikes and tours were spot on. We enjoyed our stay very much Unfortunately we didn't have hot water for 2 days, they had the problem fixed the last day which was the coldest so we were very glad to have a hot shower again. Breakfast is good quality, quantity could be a little more generous
- Hank2 (9/5): Superb - Room, staff,view No hot water -- a heater malfunction.
- Jacquie (8/5): Peaceful and great views - The breakfast which is included is good. There's pancakes and eggs, done a different way each day plus good coffee, teas, fruit etc. They can arrange tours for you. We went on an "night safari" 7pm - 9.45pm with Edgar. We saw some tiny treefrogs and a baby snake. We had expected to see more but we're happy with the frogs. The hotel lend you wellies if you need them, and even at the end of the dry season I'm glad we borrowed them. The windows are all mosquito netted. It may be difficult to have the curtains open at night for the breeze though as both front and back windows are on to the communal terrace, however there are fans in the room. We enjoyed the hammock outside each room (in the main block). The view is fantastic. The option of a Cambodian evening meal each day is good. There's always a vegetarian option. It's a relaxing, peaceful and gorgeous place The shower couldn't be used on the hook as it sprayed the whole room, you have to hold it to shower and getting the temperature you want, if it isn't freezing cold, is only possible for seconds at a time. Not major, but a bit of a pain.
- Andrew (10/5): A comfortable stay in a beautiful place. - The position, the big comfortable room.
- Ma (8/5): Next time will spend more time to relax - Nice place, really
- Brenda (8/5): Recommend for quiet get away - Amazing view of the mountains. Very secluded and inviting All was good
- Sheryl (10/5): Exceptional - It was beautiful, comfortable, food was excellent. Ime Mendoza, who oversaw the property was welcoming, warm and more than accommodating.
Kudos, Kudos, Kudos!
- James (10/5): Idyllic friendly mountain town with a quiet rural way of life off the beaten track. - Wonderful views across the valley from the patio and dining room. Spacious rooms with screened windows and ceiling fan. A fresh and hearty breakfast with local ingredients is included daily. The evening meals in the dining room are beautifully prepared and also fresh. Close to bus station. Wifi is a bit weak away from main area.
- Julie (10/5): The Magic Awaits at Hotel Anachoreo - This is my third stay at Hotel Anachoreo. My last stay was seven years ago—and this stay felt like coming home. I love this hotel. Laying in a hammock looking out at the amazing vista is extremely relaxing. The atmosphere of the hotel is tranquil and quiet. The rooms are cheery, roomy, clean and comfortable. I especially love the ample storage space and the decorative mosaics in the bathroom. The breakfasts are wonderful, especially if you love crepes. The restaurant is open for dinner W-Sun. Make sure you reserve a table. You’ll be rewarded with fresh and perfectly prepared Thai-style dishes. The staff is very attentive without being intrusive. They’re very helpful in arranging excursions or guides for hikes. There’s a beautiful garden to explore on the grounds. The location is within walking distance to town and a local swimming hole at the river. I wasn’t sure I would ever make it back to visit this area and stay at this magical place. I’m so glad it did. I hope you get the opportunity to visit it as well.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - The staff went above and beyond in helping us book a boat trip, then got up early to make sure we had breakfast before leaving, which was delicious.
- Bernd (2/5): Very poor -
- Leticia (8/5): Lovely if you are looking to escape and have some peace. - The breakfast was tasty-two mornings and different items each morning, the view is beautiful. It is very quiet and far from action. Santa Fe is a very small quiet town. For us, 2 nights was enough time. It was lovely but basic.
- Gilly (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful gardens
Fabulous breakfast
Jade- so lovely Stayed 3 days with 4 people in one room- room not cleaned, but most importantly bin in toilet not emptied.
- Alexander (9/5): Gorgeous views from mountain hotel. - The view is absolutely amazing. They have a nice overview of activities in the area. The breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. Shower water is not super hot/low pressure, but so far up in the mountains that's not totally unexpected.
- Elise (10/5): Exceptional - The calme,the view,the garden Nothing
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - Amazing views. Delightful garden. Great food. Very friendly staff. There could be a small pool and that would make it a 10.
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful - It was beautiful! stunning gardens, majestic mountains, and staff that were the best! nil
- Lisa (10/5): Absolutely awesome! - beautiful location, stunning gardens. Excellent food, staff were awesome!! Nil
- Mark (9/5): Awesome adventure in the mountains! - Breakfast was very tasty. Fresh fruit, eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, sausage and pancakes. The rooms were large and comfy. The view is spectacular.
Dinner (you had to pay) was unbelievable. The owner is the cook and she is Cambodian and she cooks the BEST meals!
Jade (Assistant manager) was a real asset. She was very helpful with what was happening in the community and places to go and see. Very personable and we loved her! Nothing. It was all good.
- Jen (9/5): Superb - Everything was amazing! Gorgeous views, lovely staff, delicious food! We didn't have hot water in our room. Not a huge deal and kind of expected.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - The view from our patio was stunning! evening meals are
served Thursday through Sunday and we didn’t miss any of them! So good. the rooms are very clean and attractive, and the staff
amazingly helpful and kind. I loved it all.
- Beat (9/5): Superb -
- Benjamin (8/5): A nice place - - Very friendly and helpful staff. Hat on to Stephanie in particular !
- Very beautiful view
- Peaceful - Bed not comfortable
- Room quite basic (not even a fridge)
- Allison (7/5): Good - very clean room, amazing view, nicely decorated, beautiful garden. the food at the restaurant was amazing the staff did not speak any English, service at the restaurant was very slow - but the food came out quick , we had only 2 minutes of hot water per day
- Eliasury (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cory (10/5): when can I come back?! - Such a beautiful,, relaxing corner of the world— run by the most wonderful group of women! from the hammocks overlooking a perfect view to the super comfy rooms to the incredible food, I could’ve stayed for weeks. Plus couldn’t ask for a nicer owner, manager and staff, who I loved getting to know. nothing. it’s so special
- Fabienne (10/5): Exceptional - A nice, little, quiet hotel with big rooms and a beautiful garden with an amazing view. The staff are very friendly. The owner had to go to Santiago the same day as I left and took me the whole way with her car. Everything is clean and the food is really good. I highly recommend this place.
- Ralph (8/5): Very good -
