Guest Reviews

- sophie (10/5): Clean, homely, accommodating. - Simon was extremely welcoming and by far the most accommodating place we have stayed. It was clean and felt homely and safe. Will definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Rav (1/5): Stay was spoilt due to attitude of host - would not recommend. - The property was nice but location not as shown in photos…..there was no reservoir or fields to the rear. The host was very rude and obnoxious, blocked our vehicle in until we did not pay extra. Would not stay again due to host being disrespectful and not allowing us to leave without further payment!

- Paulina (9/5): Fantastic stay! - Lovely and comfortable accommodation. Nice and quiet location. Would definitely book again
- Susan (10/5): Very peaceful property, well kept and excellent host - The host was exceptionally helpful and accommodating
- Kylie (9/5): Lovely property and location with super friendly host - It’s a lovely little property with everything you need for a home base. Simon was a wonderful host and my granddaughter loved seeing the chickens and the sheep and the fresh eggs were fabulous. The only negative was the lack of WiFi but it wasn’t the end of the world.

- Teresa (8/5): Good location for our trip. -
- Linda (6/5): Convenient location - Quiet location Could have been cleaner. There was a shortage of cooking equipment for a two bedroom property and a lack of seating to accommodate up to 4 people. The Wi-Fi was poor as it was supplied from the main house an I feel the chickens were housed too close to the outside patio.
- Ann (5/5): - Decent accommodation and facilities Could have been cleaner
- Gillian (5/5): - On arrival we were very pleased with the accommodation. On a closer look however, it wasn't very clean.
When we opened draws and cupboards they all needed cleaning. The outside table was full of bird poo, and cigarettes ends on the floor.
In the bathroom there were cobwebs over the shower, and shower tray looked grubby. All of the above
- Glynn (5/5): We stayed out most of the time, as the evening was uncomfortable to sit in the evening. There were 3 adults, one of whi - The location was perfect, loved the chickens. The cottage itself was nice with plenty of room, for two. Not enough seating for 3+ guests. Second bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. Shortage of kitchen utensils, ie can opener.
- Franck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Everything lovely little house . Bloke who owns its a lovely man very helpful told us we're Everything was Nothing

- Kieran2515 (10/5): fantastic - fabulous hosts outdoor arra was perfect spotless definitely booking again next time in area nothing it was all perfect
- Scott (8/5): Great - Quiet easy access great spot Couldn't get the wifi working otherwise it was fantastic
- Amy (4/5): Lovely cottage, poorly maintained. - The cottage is in a lovely setting with beautiful views. It has been finished to a good standard. The cottage was not cleaned fully before our arrival. The fridge was full of dust and dirt, as were the kitchen drawers and drawers under the bed in the front bedroom. The lounge and kitchen floor was covered in dust and hair and some brown stains, some of which came up after a good scrub, but some did not. There were old spider webs throughout the property, especially in the lounge and bathroom, which contained both dead and living spiders.
We were not able to connect the WiFi on any of our devices despite it being promised as being available in all areas. We messaged the host about this, but he stated it wasn't very good and offered nothing else by way of remedy.
The kitchen is not well equipped, no tin opener, no knives other than standard table ones and a bread knife, the cloth left for washing up was stained, only one saucepan and a small frying pan to cook with, the freezer compartment in the fridge doesn't keep food frozen as the door is not.able to close fully due to a build up of ice being in the way and one bowl in the cupboard had mould in it.
The mattress in the front bedroom sagged in the middle, making it very uncomfortable.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amrit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hodgson (8/5): Very good - No oven
- Dani (3/5): Disappointed as this was the first time I’d taken my partner away. Felt embarrassed as this was a suprise booking. - Lovely wee cottage, cute location. The owner was friendly on messages (didn’t meet in person) and replied quickly. Very dirty, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Headboard was covered in dust, had to clean it before bed. Cobwebs everywhere, living and dead/ old spiders in every room, dead Cellar spiders stuck in the cobwebs and floor. Skirting boards covered in dust, carpets stained, walls stained & dirty. Mattress was very uncomfortable and springs were popping all night. Stains on bedding and bed frame.
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb - Great location, quiet. Has everything you need.
- Patricia (7/5): Good - Good value for money. Quiet spot with views across the fields. Clean.
Great pub close by called The Star- food and Friday night musical bingo. Bed in front room mattress was poor. Felt springs..
Bed in other bedroom was very comfortable.
There were 3 of us staying and only had towels for 2 people and two wine glasses.
No information about local amenities or WiFi.
- Melanie (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfy
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - Great host - super helpful - great facilities and quiet. Pub close by is great and the DVD library is excellent with all that you need. Nothing to complain about and price is OK. Nothing significant to mention.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Everything I needed, peaceful out of the way Mattress was a bit soft for myself.
- Karolina (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect little cottage , clean an everything you needed Another bedside lamp in the 2nd bedroom. So you didnt have to.get out of bed
- Clarke (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, well kept cottage. Nice and clean, shame we were out most of the time and didn't get to sit outside and enjoy.
- Sophia (6/5): Convenient for motorway. - Easy going, quick to meet us and get us in.
Very quiet. The fridgecwas dirty and smelt sour, under the coffee table there were crisps, sweet papers and dust.
Outside where you could sit was full of chicken muck.
- Barbara (5/5): The property was adequate for a one night stay. - Handy location, near to the place we were visiting early the next morning.
Plenty of parking close to the front door.
Nice modern bathroom. Cleanliness of the fridge and the property.
Cooking facilities were poor, no oven except a microwave. Very small frying pan and the sofa was small, bearing in mind the property sleeps 4.
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (8/5): Lovely host with a beautiful cottage. Slept really well and would come back again. - Warm and modern. Not far from Motorway or Morley. Farm/ smallholding type of setting with chickens and cats wandering around. No toilet roll or holder in bathroom- looks like it had previously fallen off the wall. Nowhere to hang clothes in bathroom whilst showering.
No welcome pack giving details of wi-Fi or places of local interest.Although could sleep 4 people easily with the 2 double beds, there was only kitchenware for 3 people and only 2 dining chairs at the breakfast table.
- Simon (8/5): Very nice - Nice and cosey
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (7/5): Good - Great helpful and friendly host. Easy to find and lovely and quiet Wifi very patchy
