- Catherine (3/5): Depressing & not fit for purpose - It was clean apart from a long dark hair on the towel
Good location for what we wanted Dark - lights missing
No hot water from the tap or mirror in the bathroom, long dark hair on the towel, nothing to cook with eat with, just two mugs & a couple of teaspoons. no proper bedding, just a mattress protector, 2 cushions & a throw - he told us "we didn't need them, there was heating on & it wasn't a hotel" "he wants to make it homely " & then insulted me by saying i was the "roughest customer he'd had" (screenshots taken of the messages)
We had to go buy bedding locally as there was nowhere other available to stay nearby.
The bedroom curtains don't reach the bottom of the window.
- Keith (6/5): Pleasant - The flat was clean the facilities were good enough for a one night stay . The facilities were minimal with no plates, bowls knifes and forks no fridge. Address given was very confusing as it seems the flat was approximately 100mtrs further up the road.
- John (3/5): we didn't stay - it was clean “Nr 1 Cockton Hill Rd” It wasn’t. It was flat 1, 36 Cockton Hill Rd.
It was a clean, apparently newly upgraded property, but…
No light bulb in entrance hall
No cutlery or crockery apart from 2 mugs in the kitchen
The kettle was stuffed with kitchen roll
The double bed was side to wall –not as per website. No sheets, or pillows. The landlord appeared to not know the difference between pillows and cushions, and did not accept that the bedclothes as seen were not up to standard.
