Guest Reviews
- Brenda (10/5): Excellent stay in lovely cottage. Really nice owners. - Lovely situation and outlook. Nice and bright. Nothing
- jo (10/5): Beautiful location and very comfortable stay! - Beautiful location!
The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Jenny was really friendly and welcoming.
- Paul (9/5): - A deceptively spacious cottage, well thought out and equipped.
Jenny was a lovely host, friendly and helpful. The cottage is in an excellent location, in the middle of this historic area. Nothing I didn't like.
- Malcolm (9/5): -
- Lorraine (10/5): Wonderful. - It was lovely. Peaceful. Well equipped. Everything we wanted in a much needed break, Nothing absolutely perfect
- Ashland (10/5): Wagtail is a beautifully renovated place, in an extraordinary location. We loved staying there. - The location in Kilmartin Glen was extraordinary.
- Sarah (10/5): Beautifully presented cottage with amazing views across Kilmartin Glen. - Beautiful location and very well equipped and decorated cottage. Owners were really welcoming and friendly. Very clean and tidy. Not really anything other than mattress was a little soft but that’s just a personal preference.
- Louise (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. - Jenny, the host, was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was very clean, extremely comfortable and had every possible thing we could need for a self catering holiday while being uncluttered and tidy. And everything worked well and good quality items were supplied. The location was amazing, very relaxing to watch the sheep grazing in the field next to us, and watch the sky change colour over the surrounding hills. The hosts' chickens were charming and good entertainment for the little one. The property was fairly close to the main road (down a short lane) but this was also quite useful for easily getting about.
- Geoffroy (10/5): -
- Lolita (10/5): Perfect in every way! - I loved the fact that when I opened the front door I was met by soft lamplight and the most relaxing music on the TV which accompanied a rolling slide show of beautiful Scottish scenery. The owner came to welcome me and showed me about. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very cosy. My favourite place was the sunroom/dining room where I spent most of my time either reading or being mesmerised by the splendour and tranquillity of the sweeping views across Kilmartin Glen. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

- Gordon (10/5): Highly recommended. - Location was perfect for us interested in the local heritage. The property was thoughtfullly and well kitted out. The local museum is outstanding. We also went on a free guided walk which takes place every Wednesday. Local bistro got eating was shut - not the fault of the property or indeed the museum. As there is no longer a village shop, one has to plan a bit more.
- Anthony (9/5): We stayed for 5 nights and found the property clean, bright and well equipped for our stay in an area seeped in history. - The property was perfectly situated for what we wanted, it was clean and fresh, warm and cozy. Nothing
- Elizabeth (10/5): Kilmartin glen, fabulous getaway - Location was perfect, beautiful outlook, easy walk to good local pub/ restaurant. In the middle of all the Neolithic cairns. Good sized rooms, lovely walk in shower and dining area with a view, all you needed plus parking and an outside sitting area.
- Steve (10/5): We hope to return. - Great position close to kilmartin.
The house is well furnished, well kitted out and spotless.
Jenny is a great hostess - nothing was a problem - and Roger was very helpful.
- Morris (9/5): A fantastic relaxing break - Clean excellent facilities well located a relaxing break would definitely recommend it Nothing
- Maureen (9/5): Would definitely recommend if you want to relax in the quiet of the countryside. Lovely walks on the doorstep and local - Perfect location and super little cottage. Very clean and comfortable with everything we required for our stay. Really enjoyed our time here. We put the log burner on and was very cosy. Weather was great so sat outside for our breakfast watching the lambs. Hardly worth mentioning as it’s not a huge issue. Our son is now over 6 foot and the beds were slightly too short for him. After the first night found ways around it so didn’t impact us hugely.
- Gillian (10/5): Peaceful, serene stay in lovely surroundings. - Brilliant location, very well equipped cottage, bright and light, very clean too . The owners are very helpful and friendly. My stay was very relaxing and peaceful, thank you. n/a
- Michelle (10/5): Marvellous accommodation in a beautiful location. - Warm and cosy. Perfect location and wonderful view of the Glen from the conservatory. Really well equipped and lovely host.
