• Kamron (3/5): Misleading Listing, Poor Service & Very Stressful Stay - Beachfront view very nice. Large space. Bedrooms comfortable. Large kitchen & living room with good appliances. 24hr Security was good and we felt safe. Security staff and cleaners very nice. Cleaners good came and cleaned almost every day. I stayed at this apartment with my son for 11 days during our trip to The Gambia, and unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. 1. False Location – Misleading Listing The biggest issue was that the location advertised on Booking.com was completely wrong. We specifically booked this apartment because it was shown to be on the Senegambia Strip, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the main tourist area. However, when we arrived, the host (Sofie) directed us to a completely different location, which was actually a 30+ minute walk (or 15-minute drive) away. This was incredibly misleading and cost us a lot of extra money in transport every single day. I genuinely do not understand why the host would advertise a false location—it completely changed our experience. I raised this issue daily (with proof via WhatsApp), but it was ignored. 2. Constant Power Cuts & Electricity Issues There were regular power cuts, meaning no AC, fans, fridge, or hot water—which is extremely difficult in temperatures reaching 41°C. To make matters worse, the electricity meter had barely any credit on arrival. It ran out quickly, and the host only provided a very small top-up, then expected us to continue topping it up ourselves. This was never clearly communicated beforehand. I also informed the host that I had medication that required refrigeration, but this was not taken seriously or resolved. 3. WiFi Did Not Work for Entire Stay The WiFi did not work at all during our 11-day stay. The router was on, but the password provided was incorrect, so we couldn’t even connect. We reported this multiple times, but nothing was fixed. We were told to use WiFi from another apartment, which was far away, extremely weak, and constantly cutting out. In the end, we had to spend even more money on mobile data, which became very expensive—especially as we needed internet for work. 4.

• Muhammed (10/5): Perfect seaside escape - This flat exceeded expectations! The modern, spacious interior had everything I needed and the private balcony was ideal for sunset. Host (Lina) made the stay exceptional – warm, helpful, and always available. N/A
• Wightbloke (10/5): The apartment was as described, smart, modern, clean and well located. - The view was amazing. Facilities were great. Location was, for us, superb. Our host Soffie,(although heavily pregnant) was very pleasant and helpful. Quick to respond via text to our enquiries and to sort out our problems. Although we had the view from the third floor were amazing, the 49 steps to get there were sometimes a challenge!

• Oumie (10/5): Amazing experience I would definitely stay here again with my family if I come to Gambia again - The atmosphere was beautiful and environment was excellent with the view, the property was so clean and our host Soffie was so lovely and friendly everything you needed was in the flat cooking equipment and utensils, tv with streaming, pool and appliances we didn't need to buy anything extra. Also there is 24/7 security so it is very secure N/A was perfect
