- Thomas (10/5): -
- Sonja (8/5): very comfortable - peaceful and beautiful . you could just relax and soak in the peace.
very cosy inside as well as on the borad verandah.
- Pete (9/5): A peaceful stay a little out of Yea. - Located a little out of town, this lovely cottage was private, quiet and comfortable.
Clear communication from the owner made everything easy.
I have a comfortable time there and would return.
- Phillip (10/5): - Fabulous property. Everything we could have wanted was there. It far exceeded our expectations in regard to comfort and location. Nothing
- Liam (10/5): Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - My second stay at Starlight Lodge was just as perfect as the first. It’s a true slice of paradise. Peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. The night sky is one of my favourite things about this place. Phil is a fantastic and attentive host who goes the extra mile for his guests. Whether you're travelling solo or with a friend or a partner, it’s the ultimate spot for a relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to head back during the winter! Thankyou 😊 Absolutely nothing
- Brian (9/5): Peaceful location close to yea. - Views were great, close to town. Quiet and private. Great stars
- jay (10/5): Amazing place hidden away for luxury - Everything was perfect so clean and more then enough facilities. Very homely welcome and sitting out on the swing chair was just what was needed . I've stayed in many places across the world and this is one of if not the best place I've stayed at. The peace at night just pure darkness All was just perfect

- Colin (9/5): A lovely rural spot that is very homely. - Phil is a very enthusiastic host and looked after us very well. He was easy to communicate with (once we'd ironed out some initial location problems) and his lodge is really nice. In some ways, it's worth staying there for two or three nights as there's so much on offer in the area.
- hill (10/5): Highly Highly Recommend for a peaceful quiet couples getaway. - Very peaceful. Big yard n secure fence for my dog. Beautiful place to star gaze. Awesome wildlife. Phil the owner goes above and beyond. Everything u need is 5mins away. Beautiful modern lodge with everything. I have stayed in 9 Hotels n Resorts in the last few months n this lodge is by far the best to get away from the busy cities n towns. I will b coming back. I couldn’t stay longer.
- Michael (8/5): Good - Privacy, full fenced yard for the dogs to run around, not far from town Some signage would make the property easier to see off the hwy. missed the turn twice even with the photos of the gates
- Charles (9/5): -
- Robyn (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Cute and comfy cottage - Cute little property and although we were only there one night, we would definitely stay there again and recommend it I would have liked a small pack of long life milk for a cup of tea/coffee as there are no local nearby shops
- Natalie (9/5): The cabin was nicer than expected and great location for getting away. - Very neat and tidy. Cabin had everything I needed with full kitchen, clean bathroom, comfortable bedroom, veranda with BBQ, gas heater, chairs and nice view towards green hills and little finches flitting about. I stayed to take photos of the blood moon eclipse and was wonderful viewing of the night sky. There's also a creek with table and chairs at the back of the cabin. Lots of little inclusions to make the stay comfortable. Having to bring own timber for fireplace was understandable but another thing to worry about bringing.
- Laura (10/5): - The place is very lovely. It is quiet and well maintained and has all the amenities you need. The outside deck and garden are very nice, perfect for a sunset drink all year long.
Communication with the owners was also great, and instructions for check in very detailed. The owner let us know early that we need to bring our own firewood (they only provide one log and small wood to start a fire) - but it needs to be specified that the fireplace is the only heater in the house, so if you visit in winter like us and want to be toasty all evening, you do have to bring some logs to keep the fire going.
- Marie (10/5): A break from the hustle and bustle! It was so peaceful, comfortable, and a full “switch off” rest. - The views were outstanding Nothing- everything was great!!!
- Nick (9/5): Superb - Everything. I booked Starlight Lodge for 1 night for a getaway for my partner and I. It is absolutely perfect. It feels like you're hours away from anything, but Yea is 5 minutes away. I cannot recommend this place enough and I will be returning very soon. NOTHING.
- Sue (10/5): Relaxing and beautiful - It was secluded and it was so relaxing to have no noise anywhere in sight Nil
- Liam (10/5): Quiet, peace & comfortable - This place is exceptional. Located perfectly just outside of the township, providing peace and quiet. You'll hear birds and insects all day, a slice of paradise coming from a busy inner city suburb. Phil was amazing with communication, gave awesome tips and tricks to my stay. The lodge was incredibly clean and comfortable. Even at 31 degrees, I didn't find it necessary to use the air conditioner at all, the fans, and the natural light breeze did the trick. The bed was super comfy. Clear beautiful night skies. This place is special. Thanks Phil! There's absolutely nothing to dislike. If you're not on Telstra, your phone might struggle to receive calls & texts. However, the WiFi was superb, allowing that nice balance of switching off but, having the option to connect when needed.
- Rory (10/5): Your home away from home, just more peace, quiet and stars - The serenity, peace and quiet, and especially a chance to see the stars at night!
The accomodation is off grid, so solar powered and has satellite internet, so it’s very eco friendly and we enjoyed that. Streaming services available, and lots of useful pamphlets about the local area and things to do.
Very chill house and atmosphere, has all the essentials like aircon and kitchen, even a BBQ outside!
Owners were good at explaining everything, and they ensured our privacy.
Think of it as your home away from home. Perhaps a little towel rack could be installed next to the bathroom sink on the right hand side. But we were very satisfied with our stay.
- Dearnne (8/5): Very good -
- Thea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deidre (10/5): We attended the Yea cup race meeting, and there was nothing better than to find sereal place to stay - Detailed text messages fro, Phil, nothing was too much trouble. nothing not to like everything was , perfect
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brianna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kms (10/5): Exceptional - very romantic and relaxing - beautiful views nothing to complain
- Jo (7/5): Excellent- if you can find it. - Comfortable and clean. Lack of signage - very difficult to find. Because there was no signal near the property I had to drive 7km back to Yea to call the owner to get further directions. It was a very frustrating experience
- Nancy (10/5): Restful, peaceful and beautiful - The serenity, the ambiance, the country, the view, the tidiness, animals, the quiet.
- Liana (10/5): Exceeded our expectations :) highly recommend - Thanks to Phil for making our stay a night we will cherish for months, years to come. He provided a romantic night set up with the fire cranking and it was a special experience that was spent with a significant other :) thanks for going above and beyond I highly appreciate your efforts and have officially named it “The love shack away from home” was serene and cosy we will be back There wasn’t anything we disliked
- Gao (1/5): nightmare - When we arrived a big fat possum jumped out very scareful. So I ask for cancel the booking as we haven't enter into the room while the landlord refused. The landlord very impolite very bad experience
- Emily (10/5): Lovely little lodge, great place to unwind. - I loved everything, from the location, the vibe of the lodge, the privacy, the comfort, the view, to the listening of the animals and the serenity. There wasn’t anything I did not like, I loved everything and ever second we spent there. The lodge had everything to we could have needed and it was very homey.
- Gregory (9/5): Superb -
- Mick (9/5): We will be back! - Location excellent- great views of hills and countryside . Verandah a huge bonus with light rain. All amenities great ( bbq, oven, great shower!)
Quite private. Lovely big fenced yard with garden- we used a few of the fresh veggies
Perfect for dog owners Would recommend installing at least one handrail on the steps- was very difficult with bad legs to get up/down
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb - Very picturesque location and very nicely fitted out. Communicated with the Host but didnt see them. Its rather remote, so great if you like isolation and nature. Luckily didnt have to use the snake bite kit which was inlcuded.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): cool place in good location - Living in a well designed off-grid. small house.
House had character
Good Appliances
Located on small farm nestled between hills, facing paddocks on hills opposite were great vistas at sunset Not much
Better dinning seating.
Otherwise well though out layout and equiped
- Les (10/5): Fabulous - We absolutely loved the property
It was so restful with beautiful surroundings. We will be back soon
