- Patricia (10/5): Hope I am fortunate enough to stay again - The host was outstanding the caravan had everything we needed even bread, milk cheese,, and chocolate We couldn't have felt more at home. The driveway was a little tricky but the host backed us out every day. The resident dog was a hoot (tip- bring sticks) The view was incredible My ability to back out of the steep driveway on to the narrow road
- Rafael (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay in the caravan. The Connop family were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The caravan itself is beautifully cosy, and we were provided with breakfast provisions for the duration of our stay. A special mention must go to Leo the dog, who was eagerly waiting for us every morning, ready for a game of fetch!
- Richards (10/5): - It was cosy. Perfect place for some peace, quiet and stunning beach walk Fire alarm kept going off when making toast 😂
- Péter (10/5): - Ultimate stay when you love cozy home feeling! You have there everithing what you need. When weather plays with, then ,you have stunning view out of the window while liying on the couch!
The hosts are very frendly and they are ready to help you to feel comfortable. What i dont liked? We could not take the caravan with the view with us! 😅
But in our memories we do...thank you!
- Matteo (10/5): Very nice and cozy - Beautiful caravan in the middle of the countryside. The host was really welcoming and all was clean. Really a nice and cozy stay. Better to reach with a car.

- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional stay. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants quiet and be surrounded by beauty . - The breakfast of fresh eggs and sourdough bread were delicious. There was also juice and cereal. It was a real treat to eat our fresh breakfast while looking out the ocean. Loved meeting Leo as well :)
- Caroline (10/5): Amazing !
- Louis (10/5): Very cosy, cost effective, and ideal! - Very cosy and incredible location! It was also well stocked with everything we needed. N/A
- Mathews (10/5): - Loved the attention to detail 👌 Nothing

- Gerard (9/5): -
- Marc (10/5): - Cosy caravan with all equipment you require and special attention to detail. Lovely little items like the "happy rabbit doll" made us smile. You need to come yourself to find all the hidden gems. Lauren and her family were great hosts. Fresh eggs from their chicken and a very lovely dog greeted us too. We felt most welcome and should have stayed longer than 2 nights.

- Joanne (10/5): - This was an absolute gem! We loved being away from Portree but still close enough. The caravan was perfect with so many extra touches and items. We had fresh eggs and a loaf of bread. It was such a lovely stay. We would definitely stay again if in the area! Only thing to comment on are the midges. There were a lot and they were very annoying. But that has nothing to do with the property or the host! It didnt take away from the amazing stay we had.

- Kevin (10/5): Lauren was a pleasure to meet and gave us good recomendations. - Very cozy, clean, personal touches, nice family friendly dog, Great views, neat beach nearby.
- Loretta (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Kintyre Caravan on the Isle of Skye was one of the highlights of our recent 3 week trip to Scotland. Lauren was a charming host and immediately made us feel at home. She warmly welcomed and surprised us with delicious treats ready and waiting including fresh eggs from her own hens (imagine!) and a delicious loaf of bread! The kitchen was also stocked with many items for us to use if need be. The location was stunning looking onto a beautiful loch and the Isle of Raasay where sheep roamed in the field across the way! A quintessential Scottish experience! Communication with Lauren both prior to our arrival and during our stay was smooth and immediate. Thank you Lauren for such a wonderful stay! We will definitely recommend Kintyre Caravan to family and friends travelling to the Isle of Skye.
- Sandrine (9/5): Superb - Very nice and well-equipped caravan. It's small but has everything you need. Clean and comfortable : a budget-friendly and cozy option for staying on the Isle of Skye.
- Lois (10/5): Comfortable caravan stay in rural Isle of Skye - A very comfortable caravan that is very well equipped and has many thoughtful touches such as fresh eggs, bread, butter, condiments, drinks, face washers all supplied.
The setting is beautiful, views out the front to the Isle of Raaasay
The host family are friendly but also very respectful of their guests’ privacy.
A quiet setting away from the busyness of Portree but not too far away.
The bed is very comfortable and there are comfortable couches for relaxing on and looking out at the scenery. There is an outdoor furniture setting just at the front of the van.
A pleasant stay, we would have happily stayed for longer if our travel schedule had permitted it. Nothing.
We were very happy but the following information may be helpful for some people to know when booking.
If you have large suitcases like we have, storage of them is limited to the area between the couches.
The bed is against the wall so one person has to climb over the other one if getting up in the night.
The shower is small and maybe difficult to use if a person has limited mobility.
- Lauren (10/5): A perfect spot to rest after walking the West Highland Way. Can’t believe we were so lucky to have found such a gem. - The location was idyllic. It was just enough off the beaten path but was an easy drive to all of the glorious sights on Skye. The caravan overlooked the Sound of Raasay, the deepest part of the ocean in all of the UK. It was affordable, sooooo cozy, very clean and full of charm. There were rocky beaches as well as a large stretch of sandy beach within a ten minutes walk (frolick) from the property. Sheep were everywhere and we were delighted to visit with them each morning. It was heavenly. Nothing at all. You will need a car!!!
- Jillian (8/5): Centrally located on Skye for access to points of interest. - Beautiful peaceful outlook and quiet surrounds. Good amount of basic food supplies plus thoughtful extras.
- Margaret (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful location. - Beautiful quiet location. The caravan was very well appointed with everything you could possibly need. In a situation where the supermarkets on Skye had empty shelves, we were so grateful that Lauren had provided milk, bread, butter, eggs and cakes. There was nothing to dislike.
- Damerow (9/5): Superb - We had a wonderful stay in this cute caravan! It was beautifully decorated, cosy, and had everything we needed. The hosts were super friendly and even brought us fresh eggs from their chickens, which was such a nice touch. The surrounding area is beautiful — peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely love to come back!
- Mcintyre (9/5): Loved the peace. Loved the view. Loved the supplies. Loved the bed. - Such a thoughtful host. Anything you may need is in there and more. Very cumfy bed. Good WiFi and she even supplied cake, bread and eggs from her chickens. There was even milk in the fridge. Good coffee, lovely view and nice and warm throughout the night. Caravan toilets are what they are. Bit tight.
- Alderson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitchell (10/5): Fantastic stay. - Fantastic location to explore isle of skye. Beautiful scenery looking out of the caravan. Caravan itself was clean, tidy and very homey. Everything and more you need to cook all your meals if you need to. We loved the owners have a very friendly dog that we loved to play with!
- Hughie (10/5): Cosy, well-equipped caravan in a gorgeous location. - The Kintyre Caravan is a cosy, exceptionally well-equipped van in a gorgeous location. The van is small but every space is used perfectly. The hosts were great and were always available if needed. It was really cold one night during my stay but the provided heaters did their job well. The views are wonderful. You can sit in the lounge looking at the Raasay ferry coming and going or glance to your right and see the Five Sisters of Kintail in the gap between Raasay and Scalpay. The location is down a few miles of single track road but is less than 20 minutes from Portree which is a lovely wee town. The hosts provided various items (teabags, chocolate, spices etc.) but the crowning glory was the basket of fresh eggs from the hens you can see (and hear) out the back. It was an absolute joy to stay there and I would highly recommend it. Everything was perfect, even the weather!
- Hana (10/5): Beatiful! 🩷 - The owners are very nice, the caravan has absolutely everything you need and rather a lot of extra stuff. From every shelf or cabinet a cute character with a nice slogan peeps out at you, which will put a smile on your face. The view and the surroundings are breathtaking.
- Kevin (10/5): A wonderful little gem of a - Lauren and Jamie couldn’t have made the caravan more cosy or welcoming. There were even some of their Hens freshly laid eggs for me, as well as loads of other nice little touches. The location is a superb base to explore Skye and the surrounding islands and has a stunning view.
- Clare (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (10/5): Tranquil, beautiful location. Clean and comfy room - The view , the location . Comfy bed, relaxed atmosphere. Little thoughtful extras Nothing
- Mario (10/5): Fabulous stay - Its a beautiful, well organized and most friendly owners who were there to cater to us. There was nothing i didnt like
- Hannah (10/5): Amazing little caravan bolthole on Skye - Unreal little find. Unique, clean, comfortable, warm, welcoming and in the most amazing location. Fantastic few days in Kintyre. Fell in love with this little caravan. Going to miss our little skye bolthole and Leo the dog who gave me the best hugs and played ball with me for hours xo Nothing.
- Rishitha (10/5): Exceptional - the caravan is so beautiful and well maintained, the location is great and easy to find.
the hosts were so sweet and friendly.
everything is available in the carvan. toilet size can be better
- Julia (10/5): Fantastic stay at we needed, well-equipped caravan with everything thought about, from an extra UK power adapter to grou - The views, the caravan that had everything we needed with all the little touches, very cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a short stay - with friendly hosts who make you feel at home. Warm hospitality and a perfect stay.
- Jeremy (10/5): Authentic & cozy stay - The location is great as it is central in the island of Skye and we could access every point of interest easily (by car). It is also a bit outside the main touristy road so it felt more authentic and has amazing views.
The caravan is amazing, it felt so cozy and intimate. You can really tell that a lot of attention was given to details, it felt like home (we particularly enjoyed the choice of CDs, all the spices available to cook and the wisdom potatos).
We highly recommend the place.
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy caravan, just as we expected. Very welcoming hosts. Everything and more inside just lovely. Unreal view. Nothing, it was as expected. The shower/toilet facilities were basic but that’s to be expected in a caravan of that size, same with the bed. Might be small for a larger couple.
- Judith-ann (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Lovely family. We loved our stay. Very thought out caravan, comfortable. Great hosts
- Vanessa (10/5): A great base for getting away from it all with this wonderful rural location. - We were blown away as to the cosiness and situation of the caravan. There has been a lot of thought put in by the hosts - attention to detail, planning for everything and wonderful arty finishing touches. We were given such a wonderful welcome when we arrived and would love to stay there again. We liked everything about our stay.
- Christine (10/5): Awesome - what a find! - It's an absolute gem of a location a short drive from Portree. Hosts are lovely - Lauren was super welcoming and helpful. It was just a joy to sit in the caravan after a day out and watch the sky and maybe take a midnight walk, admire the big sky, with no light pollution and listen the silence. Awesome. Caravan is very well equipped - they've thought of everything. Absolutely nothing.
- Christine (9/5): Very charming attentions, with a smashing view. - Lauren has spoiled us in her caravan: we expected the view, but we also got plenty useful and charming attentions on top (milk and butter in the fridge, a whole assortment of spices, activities recommendations,…). We felt very welcome and at home! And the environment is just wonderful: smashing view and sunset. The hot water is very very hot: be careful with it.
- David (10/5): Clean cosy caravan - Very cosy...well equipped... extremely clean...quiet scenic location. Nothing
- Makayla (10/5): Amazing stay - The caravan was absolutely adorable and very comfortable. Beautiful and convenient location near Portree!
- Gabriel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): A lovely unconventional place to stay. - Lauren has thought of everything. The camper is well-equipped, roomy enough for my adult son and me to still like each other after four nights (being able to sleep at opposite ends out of sight of the other person helps), is nicely decorated, and is just full of thoughtful touches from the hot and cold drinks to the firepit to the bug spray to the cookies. The views are beautiful and the location is far enough from things to be private while being close enough to Portree to run into town at the start of the day. Nothing I didn't expect going in, like the shower space is tiny because... it's a camper!
- Jeff (10/5): We enjoyed our visit. I would recommend going to “The View” restaurant for beautiful views of Portree and the bay. - It is close to Portree but away from the crowds and noise. The view of the water is beautiful! It’s quiet and peaceful and has everything you need. The host was warm and welcoming. Nothing
- Guy (10/5): Great caravan near Portree - Fully equiped caravan with all comfort. Great location, central in the isle of skye, to reach all the nice spots. Jamie and Lauren are great hosts, very responsive. We had a great time
- Brenda (10/5): Awesome, beautiful and exceptional value for money - Beautiful spot
Everything you possibly need is provided
- Karen (10/5): Amazing - Beautiful location, Lauren and Jamie had thought of everything for caravan, very well equipped and cosy.Lovely beach nearby. Location lovely and quiet. Lovely family.
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional stay - Very comfortable stay in such a lovely caravan! Our host was very kind and the place is wonderful.
The position is adequate to visitate Skye.
- Michel (9/5): Simple book Kintyre Caravan as success guaranteed! - The view was great, not to mention Lauren as our host who is very hospitable and helpful. Further the caravan has all one needs, and is especially suited for 2 persons. The garden is great for relaxing when it is dry and there is garden furniture to enjoy breakfast, dinner or just a coffee or a nice beer. Again do not forget to look at the great view!!! Nothing!!!
- Maciej (10/5): Exceptional - Localisation, friendly owner, greatly equipped caravan
- Markey (10/5): Exceptional - It was like our motorhome at home. If we needed help she was right there to tell us what to do. A pi ture in bathroo. Fell off wall in middle of night. Scared me so bad took hrs. To go back to sleep.
