Did not address reported maintenance item (safe not working) during our stay. Would not provide ice when requested (9:45pm) Very steep road to access property.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made a big difference to our overall experience. The food was also very good, and we truly enjoyed our meals. The location is very convenient, being close to Kandy town, yet the hotel itself felt calm and not overcrowded, which we appreciated. They’ve also made very smart use of the limited space available If there’s one small area for improvement, it would be the bathroom, it felt a bit cramped, and having a towel rack would have been helpful, as we had to place towels on the bed.

The bathroom has a proper closing shower stall, rather than a wet bathroom like most other bathrooms in Sri Lanka. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Nice views to have coffee/tea or meals.

No fault of the hotel but it was slightly scary to be out in the town in the evenings, so ensure you know where you are going! The trees around the corner was a great spot with a rooftop pool & bar to visit. There was ongoing construction that we weren’t aware of prior to our stay

Some lovely views over the valley and a comfortable room There are local tropes of monkeys that go past, giving some lovely views of them. The location is challenging - it is at the top of a hill and fairly challenging to access on foot. Even in our van, our driver had some difficulty in accessing and our van briefly got stuck. We also had considerable difficulties with water temperature in both our rooms throughout our stay. It would either be scalding hot or cold, with nothing in between

• Arvind (10/5): Excellent,Perfect Base for Exploring Kandy - I stayed at Hotel Cassendra(Feb 2026) for one night and it was truly exceptional. The location is perfect—within few Km distance to major landmarks like the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and Queen’s Hotel. Highlights of my stay: The Views: Being on the 2nd floor offered lovely views that really added to the atmosphere. Breakfast: was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. Service: The staff were incredibly polite and went out of their way to accommodate my ad-hoc requests. Well nothing to complain about, Overall, it's excellent value for money. I’d definitely stay here again!

A hotel bar or any drinks would go a long way to meet friends in the evenings. We went to a nearby one instead.

Mr Dharshana and Mr - The location was really convenient as it was close to city centre. For short stays this was one of the best places to stay in Kandy. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful. • Ting Hsuan (3/5): - 我買了一顆鳳梨🍍 飯店幫我切好 很棒的服務 住了兩天都沒熱水 跟飯店反應也沒改善 第一天反應 只說第二天會請人來修 而我們已經洗了一天冷水澡 第二天還是只有冷水 且飯店不給換房間 也沒提供其他補救方案 一直叫我們再試五分鐘看看 但跟飯店人員講之前我們已經試了15分鐘！！！ 然後後來再試也是沒熱水！！ 不知道為什麼要花那麼多錢洗冷水澡
• BERNARD (7/5): - L'emplacement , la gentillesse du personnel. Hotel qui a besoin de rénovations : fuites dans la salle de bains. Pas d'ascenseur et un problème évident dans les escaliers avec des marches très irrégulières. Le restaurant ne sert pas de bière ou autre alcool. J'ai du demander un changement de chambre car la première chambre standard qui m'a été proposé n'avait pas de fenêtre.

• Roshni (5/5): Avoid. Poor customer service. - Location and comfortable rooms We had asked for rooms next to each other and they had accepted our request. On arrival they only had to rooms far apart and just stood there with no explanation as to what had happened. Our kids were on a different floor to us. Breakfast was tiresome as nothing was replaced in the buffet and had to wait ages for refills.
