Guest Reviews
- Claire (10/5): Recommend - We had a lovely stay at Teresa's Cottage. The cottage was cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed for relaxing break. The location was peaceful and perfect for unwinding, while still being close to local attractions. Eamonn was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Recommend 👍
- Christian (10/5): Confortable et douillet - Très chouette petit cottage authentique, spacieux ( 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains), confortable et douillet. La cuisine est très bien équipée, avec aussi une machine à laver le linge.
- Sarah (10/5): - Gorgeous cosy little cottage , it was like stepping back in time.
Perfect location for exploring Killybegs, Slieve League and Malin Beg
- Daniela (9/5): Great place, highly recommended, we’ll definitely go back - Very nice, traditional Irish place
- Blemings (10/5): - Exceptiinal welcome we arrived very late- our fault
- Brian (10/5): - Brilliant time here Eamon was a gent . Accommodation like this is hard to find a real treat will be back this year again and have sent on pics and videos to friends and family. Nothing all was perfect
- Rachel (10/5): Highly recommend a stay at Teresas’s cottage - Lovely to stay in traditional cottage and a great location for exploring Donegal. Eamon was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.
- kieran (3/5): Bed linen and towels were clean - The location was convenient The building was not properly sealed and appeared damp and musty with no backing on some cupboards which did not seem appropriate for food storage,The bathroom appeared to be in a coal bunker and the backdoor was hidden behind a dresser, In my opinion it fell far below health and safety standards. Memorandum cards of dead relatives...creepy.
- Christian (10/5): Liebevoll eingerichtetes Cottage - Sehr, sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes altes Cottage, ein Unikat. Netter Gastgeber. Nichts, was nicht zu erwarten wäre: Wer bewusst ein sehr altes Haus bucht, darf sich von knarzenden Dielen und gewöhnungsbedürftiger ( aber funktionierender ) Technik nicht gestört fühlen. Also alles gut.
- Mícheál (10/5): Home away from home. - One of the coziest places i ever stayed in , beautiful cottage
- Fiona (10/5): Superb host and accommodation - Superb breakfast. So many extra touches. A most convivial host. We had a memorable stay and would recommend this accommodation. Nicely situated between Killybegs and Donegal town.
- Caolan (8/5): A interesting experience in a vintage cottage. - The property was as described, the cottage was decorated with traditional items and vintage possessions that add to the traditional rustic decor.
The kitchen has original fixtures that were fine to use.
The cottage stay was interesting and not an experience you could find everywhere. The house TV was on the smaller side, and it could have used a tv in the side bedroom.
The village the cottage is in is very small and limited.
- Neal (6/5): - Looks like an authentic old Irish cottage inside and out. Had everything that's needed - One morning they put a big-ass generator right next to the cottage and pressure-washed the asphalt around the property with horrible noise. Zero consideration for guest's comfort.
- It can be quite cold inside the cottage even in July if it's rainy and windy outside. Heating is controlled by the hosts and is turned on only for a few hours a day.
- The inside is decorated with lots of unsightly empty wine bottles for some reason.
- Roof leak in the bigger bathroom.
- turcu (10/5): - True Irish experience.... felt like time travelling.... if you want something different, go for it!
- Guest (10/5): Relaxing and homely stay - Very

- Joanne (10/5): Teresa's Cottage quirky & quaint - Beautiful quirky cottage which was dog friendly.
Owner Eamonn was extremely helpful & let us use his washing machine as the one in the cottage was out of order. Cottage was warm & quaint & homely.
- Jo (10/5): Highly recommended. Interesting, cosy stay. Dog friendly - This cottage is an experience. The more you look the more you see. Quirky, interesting family memories and iconography of a bygone day. We enjoyed the eccentricities and the homely feel. The place was spotless. The beds were so comfortable. Bed linen soft and cosy. Everything was perfect for our group. 2 couples and a dog. Good base for exploring Killybegs, Sliabh Liag if you are travelling by car. Brocklesby area is lovely for a wander, the church grounds and holy well are worth a look Could'nt fault the cottage. The cars pass so quickly outside there is no fence/gates into the carpark. You need to be mindful of your dog and if you are travelling with small children. There are good paths to the shop 2 minutes up the road.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - It was just like it said. We were visiting with family from Canada. They were very impressed with the cottage. No heating in bathrooms, which would be no problem in the summer months.
- Niamh (6/5): Pleasant -

- Marie (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): Central location in Donegal County in a small character property. Would be ideal for one couple but space is limited for - Clean and comfortable. Good parking for our vehicle. Heating system was great once we learned how to operate it. Obviously a much loved cottage with considerable history. Very good amenities Limited space for two couples and many, many owner’s mementos and treasures which took up a lot is space while making it unique. Bathrooms small but we’ll appointed.
- Eleonora (7/5): Very sweet - The warm welcome and general atmosphere were lovely I cannot imagine how it is possible to truly keep a place like this clean. Someone with dust allergy might have a hard time!
- Una (10/5): Super stay in an amazing little cottage. Couldn't have asked for a better location or facilities. -
- Ursula (8/5): A real ‘one off’ experience - It was twee and a rarity to stay in a thatched cottage. Nothing

The bed linen was high quality and the beds so comfortable.
We had such a lovely stay and walked the beach every day with our dogs, which was near by. 🤶🤶🎅🎅😀😀😀
We will return for sure, and can highly recommend Theresa's Cottage
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cottage. Very special atmosphere. Like a museum full of stories.
Very warm. Even though it is an 150 years old cottage all the facilities are modern and clean and comfortable to use.
There is a gas station with a supermarket within 1 min walk. It was a bit of confusion in the beginning- the owner confused our date of arrival, so we had to call him for check in. But the problem was solved within an hour and the rest of the stay was perfect.
- Ekaterina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - A lovely cottage. Cosy, nostalgic.
- Laura (9/5): Helped us enjoy a break away with a homely feeling! just what we needed! - A lovely little Irish Gem! A home away from home and a welcome reminder of why our little island is so special! Full of memorabilia, personal touches and warmth!
- Frank (9/5): Cottage is very quaint, in a great position with an excellent host! - No breakfast - expected! Was self catering. People walking on floorboards in one bedroom could be heard in the other bedroom. Otherwise, great!
