• Ewelina (9/5): Unique, charming place :) - Aranka Tempasan is a unique, charming place where you can relax being far away from the city noise. You are surrounded by nature, you have a beautiful view to the mountain and rice fields. You can see that this place was created with love. The personel is helpful and friendly.
• Lauren (1/5): Extremely disappointing stay that fell well below basic acceptable standards - Beautiful view over the rice fields. We booked for three nights in the double room with balcony overlooking the rice fields. It was beautiful, but upon arrival, there were animal faeces on the bed. The sheets were promptly changed but this was sadly just the beginning of all the problems we experienced. During the first night, we discovered hundreds of ants inside the room and bathroom, and we woke up with biting insects in the bed so we changed rooms. In the second room, there was initially no hot water and the AC dripped water all over the floor and bed. We also discovered three mice who defecated all over the room and went in our belongings, and found a cockroach in the bed so we moved rooms again. In the final room (deluxe double with garden view), we experienced repeated power cuts, some lasting over an hour, and disturbance from rodents in the walls and ceiling during the night. We did not have a single night of proper sleep during the stay and were not able to rest after hiking mount rinjani. We have been backpacking for five months now, and are familiar with rustic, open accomodation close to nature; but this stay was a serious failure in cleanliness, pest control, and maintenance. We also received incorrect meals on three separate occasions, including meat served despite clearly requesting vegetarian food. Despite all these problems, only partial compensation was offered, and the staff did not seem to take the problems addressed seriously. We were at times even told that the issues may have been caused by us, such as leaving the door open or having food in the room which was not the case. I therefore cannot recommend staying here.

Çalışanlar çok kibar ve yardımsever. Beef ribs favori akşam yemeğim oldu. Herşey çok güzel kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. Tesise ulaşım esnasında maalesef bazı yollar belediye tarafından yapılmamış. Bu Lombok Belediyesinin büyük bir ayıbı. Bu kadar güzel topraklar, gelişmeye bu kadar açık yerlerle daha itinalı ilgilenmeliler.

De mensen hier zijn zó vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ze doen er alles aan om je te helpen, ook met dingen die buiten het verblijf om geregeld moeten worden. Wat het extra bijzonder maakt, is dat deze plek is gebouwd en gerund door de lokale community zelf. Je voelt echt de liefde en trots waarmee ze dit moois hebben neergezet. De sfeer is supergezellig en het contact met de mensen maakt het verblijf persoonlijk en onvergetelijk. De natuur rondom is prachtig en het uitzicht is echt adembenemend, elke ochtend wakker worden met zo’n uitzicht is een cadeau. Een plek die niet alleen mooi is om te verblijven, maar ook iets goeds doet voor de lokale gemeenschap. Echt een aanrader!

Są pewne niedociągnięcia, czystość nie jest na najwyższym poziomie. Jak na położenie na uboczu cena wydaje się trochę zbyt wysoka. My zostaliśmy tylko na jedną noc, mieliśmy swoją moskitierę. Widok z tarasu rekompensuje wszystko więc mimo wszystko bardzo polecamy.

Uitzicht op Mount Rinjani, de rijstvelden en de mooi aangelegde tuin met haar ruim opgezette bungalows. Het personeel staat je altijd tot dienst met een grote glimlach. Ook het eten is goed verzorgd en ze organiseren leuke excursies. De eigenaren zijn betrokken mensen met oog voor het milieu en zetten zich in voor de gemeenschap. Wij zijn hier nu voor het 2e opeenvolgende jaar geweest en het was weer een schot in de roos.

Mindenki mosolyog, segítőkész és nem utolsó sorban kellemes beszélgető partner. Csodálatos helyet alakítottak ki a különleges házakkal és a buja - de gondozott növényzettel, csobogókkal. Igazi relax-élmény Nem volt ilyen.

• Vittorio (8/5): All good apart from the harbour scam because we arrived late - The activities are well organized (we strongly suggest the jungle tour), plus the guide is amazing and the rooms are nice! Also the dinner was ok We asked and they organized our transfer to the harbour for Gili islands, the only problem is that we asked to be there to take the last fast boat and we arrived 1 hour late (no boats anymore..) —> we had to pay 650k for a private boat (or we would had to wait next morning at 8 to go at Gili islands). Everything good apart from that (only stay on top of the organisation)

Auch die Aussendusche war ein echtes Highlight und hat für ein sehr angenehmes Erlebnis gesorgt. In der Nacht ist das Problem, dass überall laute Gebetsrufe ertönen. Aus diesem Grund liegen am Bett auch Gehörstöpsel bereit.

The property care about nature and how to keep it clean, which is great looking at how much plastic on the streets. Breakfast was good. The bathroom could be cleaner. We had a mushroom growing under the sink.

Nous avons trouvé le prix excessif eu égard à ce qui se fait ailleurs . Surtout pour la restauration ! En lisant les notes moyennes des commentaires on se demande comment on peut noter 9.5/10. La pizza : il n’y a pas d’ingrédients suffisants . Et à un prix de dingue . Certes la gentillesse du personnel est formidable mais les bruits des multiples mosquées et les contenus des assiettes ne nous ont pas séduits . C’est la première fois en 20 ans de booking que je me trompe sur mes choix ! Peut être que nous ne correspondons pas à ce genre d’établissement pour information nous avons fait 42 restaurants sur le séjour sur Bali et Lombok !

• Polona (10/5): A hidden gem in the heart of Lo mbok - Our family stayed here for three nights. We had an amazing time! Situated on a ridge above the village, Aranka Tempasan offers wonderful views of Mount Rinjani in the background. Reached via a macadam path, it feels like you've entered another world when you arrive. There are also various activities on offer with a local guide. We visited an authentic local village and took a trip into the nearby jungle to see the waterfalls. We also took a painting course. The owner, Berry, is very warm-hearted and has a great sense of how to run the business. Together with the very kind staff, he runs the business as a community. Needless to say, the food is delicious, too. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in nature and experience the local way of life. -
• Mariia (10/5): A hidden gem! - The view from the huts is absolutely stunning, and our bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious every day - and we loved the thoughtful touch of getting a little extra treat each morning featuring traditional food. The owners really pay attention to detail and also offer a variety of activities for guests (at an additional cost). We tried a few and enjoyed them, but we were just as happy relaxing on our terrace. Such a calming and beautiful place - can highly recommended!:) P.S. One more thank you for the bonfire each evening! Everything was lovely! If I had to mention one small thing, I do wish there had been an extra lamp in the room so we could use a softer light instead of the main one. But honestly, that’s a minor detail in an otherwise amazing stay.

Super friendly staff and plenty to do around. Yes, it is a little out of tetanbatu, but easily solved by a 10 min scooter drive. You won't regret it.

Our bedroom was just gorgeous. The staff was amazing, so friendly, so helpful. We’re still in touch with some of them. The food was vers delicious. We had such a wonderful stay there. We definitely come back some day! Nothing!

Fikri stood out as an exceptional team member—always available to help, providing a fantastic walking tour, and consistently going above and beyond. The smoothie bowl option was also a refreshing touch! Points for Improvement: Upon arrival, a warmer welcome would be appreciated. Consider greeting guests with something like traditional sorongs to enhance the feeling of special hospitality. On one occasion, I experienced multiple electric shocks from the water in the shower, which could have been dangerous. This issue needs to be addressed immediately for safety reason for the future. At times, the food wasn't properly cooked or served cold, which could be improved. Overall: The property has great potential, but a 9.5 rating seems overly optimistic at this stage. If the owner, Barry, listens to feedback and makes the necessary improvements, this place could truly flourish.
• Trudy (9/5): Hidden gem in the rice fields - This is really a hidden gem with the beautiful surroundings, the lovely people, the bungalows made of natural materials and with good working airco. I would recommend this place if you are looking for an off the beaten track location, a good energy and nice activities: Hiling, cycling, tubing on the river. I hope to be back someday. For me nothing. There are many mosques around with prayers during the night but that is if you travel in Lombok.

• Daria (10/5): The best accommodation of our entire Indonesia Trip! - Aranka Tempasan is located in the most beautiful village overlooking rice fields and palm trees. The whole property is so lovely, designed with attention to detail, boasting the most beautiful plants and a garden. At dusk, there are dragonflies everywhere. The bungalow was spacious, with a sleek outdoor bathroom and a patio that directly overlooks the rice fields. Watching the sunrise over the rice fields was surreal! The host, Lina, is so kind and she, Gilan and the entire staff made sure our stay was perfect! They arranged a walking tour through the rice fields and a nearby weaver‘s villages for us with a local guide, which was super interesting! The kitchen staff even cooked special vegetarian indonesian dishes for us that weren’t on the menu. The jackfruit curry was divine! We had such an amazing time here and got to take in some of the natural beauty of Lombok. Thank you so much for having us! We will be back on our next Lombok trip!

• Pamela (9/5): Superb - The staff were incredibly kind and it was a beautiful place set away from any tourist crowds. It reminded me of what bali was 15 years ago. Beautiful sunrise from our room where we could see the rice fields and Rinjani. A special morning. The only downside is the mosques playing at 4-5am which the staff kindly let us know in advance. There not much you or the hotel can do though 'part of the experience' I would say. But if you are looking for a good nights sleep beyond 5am I would say maybe find somewhere with sound proofing on the walls? Fro us it wa snot a problem as we wante dto wake up early to watch the sunrise which was a beautiful sight
• Andrej (10/5): Unbelievable stay in Tempasan - This is an exceptional small resort overlooking rice fields with a stunning view of an active volcano. It’s a must-visit for a peaceful and unforgettable experience. We rented an entire bungalow with a beautiful terrace and had an amazing time. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect for couples, backpackers and families. A very good breakfast is provided, and the on-site restaurant offers delicious food, desserts, juices, and cocktails until 10 PM. The quality is great, and the prices are very affordable. Free drinking water. They also offer fun and cheap tours like jungle hiking and tubing. We also loved geckos around the bungalow. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Like everywhere in Lombok, mosques are quite loud with long services in the early morning, but this wasn’t an issue for us at all. Earplugs are offered, but we found we didn’t need them.
• Malgorzata (10/5): Exceptional - I've travelled through many countries, but nowhere else found this kind of hospitality, kindness, and big heart. People there are not into making business but into sharing experiences with the tourists. I highly recommend walking to the rice fields nearby to see the local way of life and experience people who have almost nothing but are still happy to share. Apart from the great people, the hotel itself is beautiful, laid in a nice, big garden, and the bamboo bungalow with the balcony is amazing. Food is great, and the price is the same as in a simply Warung. For me, it was definitely the best experience in my whole Bali/Lombok trip. Thank you!
• Lotte (9/5): Superb - One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been! Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Also the bar & restaurant is very nice.
• Patrick (10/5): Unforgettable stay - We had an unforgettable stay at Aranka Tempasan. The huts on the campground were very spacious and comfortable. The accommodation looks out on a beautiful valley of rice fields. What made the stay truly special was the amazing staff. They were all young, local people learning the hospitality trade. They were incredibly professional and friendly. They deeply cared about given their guests the best possible experience. The activities such as a bonfire and bike ride through the town were all great ways to get to know the area and the community.
• Alex (10/5): I would repeat my stay 10/10 - Probably the best location in our trip. Stunning views in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful rice fields with great views on the volcano. We stayed at the elevated hut and the bed was good, all clean. Ambience in place was great, really loved the music :) staff was very attentive. So many things to visit around the area. Toilet assigned to us needs a renovation :)

• James (10/5): Beautiful place, kind people. - Quite possibly one of the best places we have ever stayed. The food is delicious, fresh, full of vegetables and healthy. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, with working a/c and hot powerful showers. The setting is breathtaking, with morning sunrise over mount Rinjani. But best of all are the staff, who are friendly, kind and so helpful. We did the cycling tour which was so interesting and costs support the locals in the area. Would recommend everything about Aranka Tempasan !
• Leonard (10/5): Some days of Rest and Relaxation - We really enjoyed our bamboo bungalow during our stay here. The morning views and sunrise were absolutely breathtaking and we saw it every morning. We also felt at home from the minute we arrived. The people there are super friendly and listen to all your questions and needs. You can do many activities in the area with aranka or rent bikes or scooters and ride around on your own. We appreciated the daily fruits, snacks and teas which are provided a lot and are thankful that we got to know new dishes and specialities. We also got a little chess lesson from Gilang and Azmi, who were also super friendly and chilled. The next tournament is still to come ;-) We were able to have super open conversations with all of them and learn a lot about the culture and life on Lombok. Also they try to connect themselves and other guests with each other with hosting a fire and playing the guitar for example. We would come back every time! That we didn't extend our stay and that we didn't took the bikes out. Next time!

• Catherine (10/5): Magical experience - The location is magical. The views of the rice fields are spectacular and we did some fabulous day trips where we got a real taste of the local culture. We did a bike tour through the rice fields and met some locals who showed us how to grow and harvest rice, went to a local weaving village, went swimming under a beautiful waterfall and visited monkey forest. We also did a cooking class at Aranka where we made an Indonesian feast (yum!). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The villas are rustic and comfortable. We were travelling with 2 teenagers and all of us had a wonderful time. The noise from the local mosques in the morning, but the staff can provide earplugs so it wasn't a problem. The noise was a small issue considering wonderful experience we had. My biggest regret is not booking a longer stay (we were there for 3 nights).
• Kateřina (10/5): Amazing view and kind staff - We really like the location, the view from cottage. You can directly see rice fields and you can also go down there. The breakfast was amazing, you can choose from a lot of options (omelet, smoothie bowl, ...) The young staff is so kind, helpful and very caring. In the cottage with panoramatic view, you can see Rinjani and rice fields, also you have open roof bathroom, which is so nice. The garden is full of flowers. Maybe just nets in the bathroom, but it was totally fine, because it is open roof bathroom.
• Carlen (10/5): Great little gitaway. - The property is beautiful and tucked away in the mountains overlooking rice fields. Watch out with google maps. It took us on the wrong route at first. The Mosques can be loud in the morning, but that is typical for all of Lombok.

• Julia (9/5): Superb - Very helpful and friendly staff that takes you on a walking tour through the rice fields and explains about the local Lifestyle. They also help with organizing other activities like a bike tour or renting a scooter. Amazing view of Mount Rijani and rice fields, very quiet and peaceful. They also make a bonfire and grill some corn. The food was really tasty as well. Spacious and clean bungalow. I can only recommend the place. Ants in the bathroom
• Heiko (9/5): Best stay on our long trip - We had three wonderful days at Aranka Tempasan. The resort is located on a small hill from which you have a sensational view of the rice fields and the Rinjani. It is especially great to watch the sunrise from up there. It is, except for the usual for Lombock noisy mosques, very quiet and peaceful. The room/lodge is very new, clean and lovingly furnished. There is hot water, daily cleaning and fresh drinking water. In addition, the rooms are very large and equipped with air conditioning. Berry, his wife Lina and the whole team made our short stay very special. In no previous accommodation we had on our long trip, we were welcomed and integrated in such a warm and familiar way. The concept of the accommodation is to integrate the surrounding villages and their people, so for example some children/young people help with the daily work to improve their English skills or accompany you on the offered tours. We took the walk with Lina through the rice fields and learned a lot about the field work and nature. In the evening we did the cooking class, which we can also highly recommend. You can rent a scooter and explore the surroundings, there are a lot of waterfalls, beautiful rice fields and nice villages you can visit. We would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the accommodation. The Wifi could be improved
• Lucie (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice team managing the place, accommodating and attentive to their guest’s need and comfort. The view is just stunning and peaceful.
• Zainal (8/5): Nice hotel in village surrounding. - In a nice village surrounding, nearby river, clean hotel, nice wonderful staff and owner. Even prepared camp fire at night for customer. Area with gardens view, rice paddies field and Mount Rinjani can be seen during sunrise. Water pressure in shower quite low and not hot enough. Aircon during hot daytime is not adequate enough.
• Moon (10/5): Unforgettable experience - The owner is really friendly, the place is amazing and very peaceful and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place. The outdoor shower is so relaxing.
