Guest Reviews
- Alessandro (9/5): -
- linzi (7/5): Gotta love the bed linen. - Comfy beds with winter flannel sheets.🙂Staff were really helpful.lovely meals. Too close to main door entrance.Next door were drinking and up way past 2.30am on a weekday.
- Robyn (8/5): - Room spacious. Beds comfortable. Lovely and clean. Loved the art deco lights they fitted the scene. Very helpful staff.
- Jake (8/5): -
- Kay (10/5): N/A - N/A N/A
- Judy (6/5): - The bed was really comfortable & we got a really good nights sleep. Shower was nice & hot. Adequate for a one night stay. It is named as a budget hotel, which is what it is. The rooms could do with a touch up, window curtain only just covered the window & let in light, walls were paper thin & every noise around could be heard. We were directly next to the double doors that creaked every time they were pushed open - would suggest some WD40 or similar would solve that issue.
- Don (6/5): Would stay again - Didn’t have breakfast but the lunch was awesome Shower was cold , and poor pressure would
- Michael (8/5): For price & situation & booking very happy -
- Aaron (9/5): A quiet and convenient place to stay in Dannevirke - A comfortable room reserved at short notice. Merrylees is a very old school pub hotel with bar AND restuarant. Well placed for time and convenience to have something from the menu. Very good.

- Linia (4/5): -
- Peter (7/5): Ideal location at a great price - Location & price There didn’t seem to be any hot water
- Debbie (8/5): - Kim & staff were wonderful, beds were comfortable, immaculate, awesome food. We'll be back!
- Shaw (1/5): Horrible. - Room was old, tatty, run down and just not clean. Bed was hard. The walls were paper thin and every sound in the hotel could be heard. There were no amenities whatsoever - not even a kettle to make a cup of tea. For $120 a night, it's not right.
- Pauline (10/5): -
- Graham (10/5): - Nice reception, quick and efficient and upgraded!
- YILI (10/5): - Very convenient location with a nice bar
- David (9/5): - Location suits me fine Water pressure in the shower very weak and 15 minutes before warm water came through...apart from that everything else was just fine.
- Murray (4/5): - Was Okay No hot water
- John (10/5): Very enjoyable - All on one level, no stairs , plenty of parking, good food and friendly staff Nothing
- Danny (7/5): -
- Katarina (10/5): -
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Margaret (7/5): Warm clean cosy room with basic amenities - Tidy, warm room with basic amenities, nice toilet and shower with towels and soap provided. No kettle or tea making facilities but did have kitchen and bathrooms available down the hall.
- Jatinder (1/5): -
- Charles (1/5): Won’t be staying there again you would have to pay me to stay there - Nothing Bed was dirty blanket had a stain on it took it off and there was pubic hair on the sheets 🤦
And showers had no hot water
- Meredyth (10/5): -
- Peterson (7/5): Very nice - Easy to find. Clean and helpful staff. Can't think of anything
- Hugh (4/5): Disappointing - I accidentally booked the wrong month. I actually stayed the previous month in OK accommodation at the same location, but had to pay full price. I requested a partial refund on the cancellation for this month and got no response at all. Some response. My error but acknowledgement would have been nice.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reece (5/5): OK for overnight. Clean but very dated. - Friendly staff, centrally located. Avoid Room 1, extremely noisy right next to main entrance lobby. Doors banging through the night.
- Holmes (1/5): Extremely poor - Free WiFi was nice Multiple hairs in bed sheets clearly weren't washed in a while. Floor was dirty, hair in the sink and a grossly sticky bathroom floor
- Lesley (10/5): Staff fab Evening meal fab. Room tops for value - Everything great
- Cody (1/5): Bad -
- Erin (6/5): Good and bad - The staff were friendly and food was good and menu selections were great. The room was an old converted office next to the main entrance and it was incredibly noisy, very old single bed, and very tired looking room. It's part of a sports bar, restaurant facility and lots of drunk loud people right outside the room.
Across the road from a train.
The price was expensive for the room.
Not somewhere to stay if you're looking for a peaceful sleep.
- Anderson (8/5): Very good -
- Craig (7/5): Was too knackered for a beer, so I’ll be ba - The barmaid/host had fab boots Bit loud
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (9/5): Great value, comfortable stay. - Room was a blast from the past 😁 but great shower, comfortable beds, great location, basic room but clean and quite roomy. The staff allowed us to secure our bikes in the wide hallway outside our room. Economical! Nothing 😁
- Daetura (10/5): Awes9me - Everything Nothing
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - I think given the size of the room that the price is a little steep. I'd pay between $65 to $70 per night. But the bed was comfy. Window couldn't open all the way but was glad to see that a fan was provided as it was really warm in there. Other than that, staff was extremely helpful. Answered questions when asked. Would stay again to enjoy the motel and restaurant experience.
- Ger (7/5): Good - People talking loudly in the corridor early in the morning
- Paris (9/5): Superb - Was a goodnights rest thank you
- Jacqui (7/5): Good -
- Stephen (7/5): Great for what we needed passing through the area. - No breakfast but good location for what we needed. Dinner was excellent. Bit noisey with patrons leaving pub but to be expected. Room was a little small.
- Martin (7/5): Good -
