Guest Reviews
- Alan (10/5): - Perfect position, layout and fittings.we will definitely stay at Highstead again. The only thing missing where hocks or rails for the towels in the smaller ensuite
- Nicholas (8/5): We would return but felt let down by the departure details - Spacious, well appointed, comfortable beds. Check out on Sunday at 1030 was frustratingly early. We had to change our plans due to this. It felt like the needs of the housekeeper doing the post stay clean were prioritised over our request for a late check out. 1200 would have been much more reasonable.
- Gulden (10/5): Had a super relaxing girls weekend in a beautifully designed home that was super clean. Thank you! - The house was gorgeous and super clean. The location was great, walking distance to the shops. We had a wonderful stay. Owner was easily available for contact and questions. Would highly recommend. Heated pool was also great.
- Montana (10/5): One to remember - The high stead house was incredible and one to remember. We loved spending a weekend away here and relaxing amongst the beautiful environment it has to offer. The house was the perfect size for a bigger group and had everything you needed to enjoy a wholesome weekend. The pool adding the perfect touch to our warm Daylesford retreat! We couldn’t fault anything about this property other than maybe needing a few more days here. Time went very quick and it was a much needed getaway.
- Merran (10/5): Amazing property with a mineral pool - so relaxing! - Highstead House is a gorgeous property and had everything we needed for a weekend stay for our group. The pool was gorgeous and sitting on the deck having breakfast looking out at the tree line and the local kangaroos was so relaxing. Communication from the host was fantastic too. We have stayed at many properties as a group and everyone agreed that this was by far the best we had ever stayed in. We can’t wait to go back and wished we had booked another night as we didn’t want our weekend to end! Nothing!
- Susan (10/5): Wish we didnt have to leave! - Generous arrival gift, gorgeous new home, beautiful setting, felt like we were in a tree house amongst gum trees! Nothing
- James (9/5): Beautiful house that is a few small changes away from being perfect. - Stunning house that took our breath away when we arrived. Felt brand new throughout. Pool was great, kitchen well stocked, lots of space for two families to enjoy time together and in private. Felt like we got a bargain for what it was to be honest. So good that the negatives were mostly forgotten about. The pillows were abysmal. Truly awful. All four adults had necks when we left. Beds also rock hard. This maybe preference but a mattress topper would be nice. No microwave. WiFi issues were rectified but didn’t get signal in the bedrooms the whole week. The no shoe policy is fine, but the slippers were tiny and useless and there was nowhere to put shoes when you took them off. Couldn’t find an ironing board or iron. Pool cover being manual and dragging off is a bit cheap for the house and not very practical as the leaves just go in the pool as it’s removed.
